Gorgeous rooms! Loved everything about my stay from the gorgeous rooftop with free flowing coffee to the views from every angle! Rooms are very nice and comfy, service spectacular

Hotel 50 Bowery was a great stay. Front desk staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. Extra pillows and towels were sent quickly upon request. Elevators were slow, as one was out of service. The location is perfect. The room was very clean, which I was thrilled about. It had enough space for two people. I loved the shower. Makeup mirror was the appropriate height to do makeup and the lighting wasn't bad. Bed was comfy. Some wall hooks near the entryway would've been appreciated though. We had a great view. I was not thrilled about the HVAC, which vibrated/rattled loudly. I would've asked for a different room, but by the time I realized, I was already unpacked and showered. The thermostat doesn't go below 65, so I could never stay here in warm weather, but I'd happily return during other times.

We had a great experience staying at Hotel 50 for the remainder of our NY trip. It is in a super convenient location right in Chinatown and within walking distance to lots of popular food shops. The staff has been very attentive and would send texts to check in on us throughout our stay to see if there were any issues. They held our luggage for us until our room was ready. We stayed on the 15th floor and had a view of the city and Chinatown. They provided us complimentary water and even a bottle of champagne to celebrate our anniversary. There is complimentary coffee, tea, and a water refill station on the second floor. They have lots of lawn games to play and seating if you want to just chill. They have a nice rooftop bar/restaurant with great views as well. In our room, it can get a little noisy as the hotel is located in a busy area. Even after midnight, you can still hear cars honking outside but it didn't affect us too much. Definitely recommend staying here if you want to be around the Chinatown area!

I had a great day at hotel 50 Bowery in New York. I arrived late from California around 10 PM and the front desk staff were incredibly welcoming. Ricky at the front desk was especially helpful and made the check-in experience smooth after a long travel day. He gave me a beautiful room with a great view of the Manhattan Bridge, which was a nice surprise. Ricky also recommended a small noodle shop about three minutes away from the hotel, which was perfect for a late dinner. The hotel is located right by Chinatown, which is a truly a foodie Haven with so many great spots within walking distance. In the morning, the hotel offered complementary tea and coffee, which was a nice touch before heading out for the day. My room was clean. The bed was comfortable and the shower had great water pressure always appreciate after a long flight. Another thing I really appreciate was a helpful tip from Kim at the front desk. I was about to order an Uber to JFK, which was showing around $120 but he let me know that New York taxis have a flat rate of $75 to JFK. That tip alone save me quite a bit! My ride took about 1 1/2 hours leaving around 2 PM. Overall, the service, Location, and the comfort made this a wonderful state. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to New York.

Continues to be one of our favorite hotels in nyc. Hospitality like no other, clean, good location in the lower east side, consistent.

I stayed at Hotel 50 Bowery for one night and really wish I had chosen somewhere else. When I checked in, I was actually excited. They gave me a complimentary upgrade to a nicer room, which felt like a great start. But that feeling disappeared pretty quickly once I saw the bathroom. There was a lot of hair in the shower, like it hadn't been cleaned at all. Then, while I was showering, a bug crawled onto my shoulder. I immediately called the front desk and asked if someone could come check the room for bed bugs or anything else. The hotel manager told me it's "common" for bugs to come up through the shower drain... I've honestly never heard that before? I asked to switch rooms, the whole situation made me feel really uncomfortable and unclean. I checked out the next morning and still paid full price for the night. The manager apologized for the "inconvenience," but that was it. For a hotel at this price point, I expected way more. Wouldn't stay here again or recommend it to anyone. Cleanliness and customer service just weren't a priority.

Had a great experience staying at Hotel 50 Bowery. The front desk and all staff was great, Kim, Andre, James, the morning and nightime luggage gentleman all showed us great hospitality. Would definetly recommend this place just from the experience with them. They were clear with charges, and very helpful on our accomodations for holding our bags before and after checking in & checking out, cabs, hot water, etc. We had no issues there! The view was awesome. Definetly try to get a room with a view and it was so quiet once in the room. We heard no outside noise. We wish they had the coffee and amenities stocked 24/7, but there's some periods where they do not have them. The room was just fine, yes, it could have used a little more storage or shelving, along with a thicker or more sound proof door (no we didnt hear much but yes you could hear through the door easily) but we made do since it was clean, tidy and simple. These issues we didnt mind as they were a small worry for the overall pleasant stay. We hope to be back soon! Thank you Hotel 50.

This was a cute little hotel located in Chinatown with easy walking access to the financial district. I love that the subway was several blocks away, so easy to get around and venture uptown or into the Bronx or Brooklyn. there are also several awesome spots to grab a quick bite in Chinatown there are within walking distance of the hotel. The hotel was clean and really cute and chic. it's New York, the hotels in general are pretty small, but it wasn't loud or didn't hear anyone at all hours of the night. I'd love that they had a little courtyard with games for folks who want to play. There's also a rooftop bar that turns into a club on some nights, but even with that I didn't hear a lot of noise. Staff was very nice and gracious and attentive and I love that there was security as you enter and you had to use your room key to access the floors. Overall, great spot to stay at if you're in town for a quick trip or have business down in the financial district .

Clean hotel with wonderful service. Convenient location in Chinatown, walking distance to the Manhattan Bridge, Little Italy, and lower manhattan. Our room was clean and spacious with a lovely view of the manhattan bridge. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only downside was that the water pressure in the bathroom of our hotel room was terrible. The pillows were uncomfortable as well but overall, I enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend to others. Nice rooftop bar also with views of the city.

Level 2 with free coffee, hot chocolate, etc

We stayed here for seven nights 12/18-12/24/24. The good: in the middle of a lot going on, including some great dimsum restaurants. The staff is very nice, hotel is clean, moody, and comfortable with larger than normal rooms for NYC. The subway stations are about a 5 minute walk, so very convenient to go anywhere you wish. The daily access to complimentary newspapers, hot chocolate, coffee, etc was WONDERFUL because we always sleep past breakfast. The water is given freely, when you ask, and you can refill it yourself (NYC tap water is great). The decor is great: love the white sheets, the wall art, and the stone in the shower. The closet was nice, but needs drawers. Toilet worked well, water pressure was fine in our shower, bed comfortable, mini fridge is empty so you can fill it with your leftovers and use the microwave on the 2nd floor at any hour - all great! We are Hyatt Explorist level, but were gifted a GOH certificate for our stay, giving us zero destination fees (saved us about $250 total), free daily breakfast (2 options: delivery from the restaurant next door or a continental buffet), free parking (we didn't need), and a suite upgrade, if available. The bad: I inquired about the suite upgrade and requested a city view via email before checking in and they proactively said there were no suites to put us in, but they "upgraded us" to a Manhattan Bridge View. I reminded them we did not want a view of the bridge, but we preferred a view of the city. I checked and there was that upgrade available, which would have cost ~$30/nt more. It was a bit frustrating they didn't offer that to us after my first email and that I had to figure out if it was available (by trying to make a second reservation online) and then had to ask for it again. If we are on a Globalist level (via the award), why make us jump through extra hoops? That put a bad taste in my mouth before we arrived. When we checked in on the 18th, the front desk person gave us a room on the 17th floor with a city view, but the room smelled very strongly of smoke and mildew, so we immediately returned to get a new room we could breath in. She said they had one "with an even better view" on the 9th floor...Room 926. She thought this was better because it is a straight on view versus the room on the 17th floor, which was smaller and kind of cramped into a corner (see pics). Again, why try to give us a less desirable room when you are supposed to be treating us like a Globalist? Strange business practice. We stayed in Room 926. There are so many opportunities to take this from a 4 star room to a 5 star room... There is literally nowhere to put your stuff. There is ONE small drawer above the minifridge that fit my underwear, socks, and bras. My husband had to keep everything in his suitcase. Each nightstand has the smallest two drawers I have ever seen in my life... I fit some cords, my daily pills and cough drops in them (no clothes would fit at all). There is ONE hook in the bathroom, but there are two of us, so one person has to have their towel stay wet under the other...why not add another hook for $3?!? The bathroom vanity has zero drawers or storage space for your stuff. So frustrating as a girl. Why not add a shelf or two so two people can have their toiletries accessible? A week living out of my toiletry bag wasn't ideal. Same for in the shower... the "shelf" barely fits the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash bottles they provide, but zero room for anything you bring...why not add another shelf or two so we don't have to put our stuff on the floor where strangers dirty feet were?? I chose to take my stuff in and out of the shower stall because I refuse to put my stuff on the gross floor. There was a lot of black mold on the stone walls, so I'm sure there was a lot more on the ground. They need to do better at scrubbing the tiles so there is no mold. Big TV, but very strange it is not a smart TV so you can't log into your own Netflix or anything. The lighting is really bad for trying to do makeup. The mirror that is near the windows is a decorative mirror, not a functional one. The mirror that is functional is too far away from a light source to see well enough to do makeup. The bathroom mirror somewhat works, but still not ideal. Swap out the decorative mirror with a functional one near the windows and there would be no issue. Overall, the stay was good for a weekend. It was not functional or comfy enough for a seven night stay in winter where you have a lot of clothes to fit. Overall,

Clean Bathroom. However, there were few scratch markings on some of the tiles and mirror.

Hotel 5o Bowery is an upscale boutique hotel with a great view of the city at an affordable price. It's located in the heart of downtown NYC. They have plenty of amenities such as free WiFi, Fitness room, Breakfast drinks, laundry, concierge and pet friendly. The hotel room has Sealy brand beds, 43" flat-screen TV In-room safe, plush robe, art wall, rainfall shower, hair dryer, wooden hangers, and mirrors. Moreover, we were disappointed to see that some bathroom tiles and mirror have scratch marks. The bedroom size was roughly 260 sq ft. The best part of the room was it has the view of the city. Staff were cordial, competent and professional. Check-In and check-out was a breeze. As for the price it's one of the best and affordable hotels in the city. Also, keep in mind that a mandator $35 destination fee/day will be added to your hotel bill. Overall, it's a good hotel with modest amenities.

We were thrilled with our stay here. Great location, easy to catch a subway, easy access to Brooklyn. Such a great community feel as we walked around the neighborhood. The rooms are some of the biggest in NYC for the price and the views are fantastic. Everything was clean and well maintained. Great rooftop bar for more views. Would absolutely stay here again.

City View room

Hotel 50 Bowery has gone downhill since my last stay in 2018. The rooms have not been well maintained or updated, and the property has become quite run down. Pros: location, view, price. If you like to spend time in Chinatown, SoHo, and/or the Lower East Side, the location is ideal. The Manhattan Bridge is steps away, so it's easy to get to Brooklyn as well. Rates are competitive, and the rooms do offer beautiful views. The staff are also friendly. Cons: everything else. I stayed here twice in December, and was surprised at the deteriorated quality of plumbing, linens, furniture, and soundproofing. The shower drains were clogged in both rooms. The sheets were thin and stiff. Lots of noise, even on a high floor. Hotel 50 Bowery is now on par with a Holiday Inn.

Traveling during the holidays can be hectic, but the staff at the Park Hyatt made everything feel effortless. Every interaction -- from the front desk to housekeeping to the concierge -- was filled with genuine kindness, patience, and warmth. It was clear they weren't just doing their jobs; they truly cared about making our holiday special. The hotel itself is stunningly elegant yet incredibly comfortable. After long walks through Central Park, returning to our room felt like stepping into a peaceful retreat. The spaciousness, thoughtful details, and quiet luxury made it easy for our family to relax, laugh, and simply be together -- which is what the holidays are really about. We had our first breakfast in New York at the hotel's "the living room" which is located in the lobby. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful with modern decor and stunning 30 foot ceilings. We arrived at 7am as the restaurant just opened and Kamil greeted us with a warm genuine smile. We've stayed at 5 different Park Hyatts in the past 5 years (Kyoto being the most recent) and no one has made us feel as special as Kamil. He has the unique gift of hospitality. He went out of his way to treat us like family and made us feel very special. All of his small gestures, friendly smiles, and thoughtful attention to detail, turned simple moments into special memories. During a season meant for connection and joy, the Park Hyatt delivered both in abundance. Spending Christmas in New York is always special, but spending it at the Park Hyatt New York elevated the experience beyond anything we could have imagined. Our days were spent with full hearts, lasting memories, and deep gratitude for a team that understands true hospitality. Unfortunately, due to geopolitical instability impacting our return route through Amman and the broader Persian Gulf region, our travel plans became unworkable. I contacted multiple hotels involved in our itinerary, and every one of them demonstrated professionalism and understanding by waiving cancellation fees given the circumstances--including other Marriott properties and the Ritz-Carlton. This property, however, took a completely different approach. I spoke with Samir in the reservations department. He refused to provide any refund. We went back and forth multiple times, and each time he introduced a new justification. At one point, he claimed the U.S. State Department had not advised against travel to the Persian Gulf and that any warning had expired on March 31. I provided evidence that there was no expiration date, yet he continued to deny the request. I also explained that other Marriott properties and Ritz-Carlton locations had already issued full refunds under the same circumstances. Despite this, he continued to refuse any accommodation. Only after I told him I would be leaving a review about my experience did he offer a future credit. That is not a practical solution when I have no certainty of returning to Morocco. I then requested that a manager follow up with me. No one ever did. Communication stopped entirely. This response reflects a lack of flexibility, accountability, and basic customer consideration--especially when compared to how other properties under the Marriott International brand handled the exact same situation. As a result, I had to absorb the financial loss and cancel the reservation. Based on this experience, I recommend considering alternative accommodations that demonstrate greater responsiveness and professionalism when dealing with legitimate, unforeseen global disruptions.

Bonus-it was clean!! The iPad system to control the room is clever: manage the thermostat, tv, blinds/shades and lights. It takes a minute for the iPad to connect (not sure if it's a wifi issue or that these iPads are an older model). Speaking of the thermostat, it kinda worked. I think it shuts off or scales back when there's no movement in the room. I had a hard time getting it cooled down to a good temperature, so I didn't sleep as well as I would have liked. The bed is very comfortable, though...and even with the small space, there are plenty of places to hang clothes and store items. Several outlets and USB charging stations available as well. There aren't any washcloths - just hand/body towels... and it's up to you if you want to have your room lightly cleaned or fully turned over. (See your iPad to make that option). There was only one elevator working, so it could take a few minutes to get your lift up or down. The staff that we engaged with were great. Check in and out were super easy. The lobby is pretty cool and hip. There's a small rooftop bar/lounge and a nice sized food/canteen area in the lobby. The location is outstanding. 50th just off 8th Ave...right in the heart of Times Square and walking distance to many other destinations. I would stay here in the future...2-3 nights is perfect. This spot is super centrally located, and during NYFW was an affordable, clean, and hip spot to stay for a few days. I am familiar with CitizenM as I have been to their hotel bars in their Miami locations, but had never stayed at one. I truly enjoyed my experience here. From check in to ordering wine or coffee at the bar, to the room, it was all lovely. I will say, the room is quite small. But truly, what do you need a big room for when you're going to be exploring NYC all day? The bed we got was a king, and dare I say it was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've ever slept in. The room is set up a bit like a studio, with two little closets which made it easy to organize and unpack, a small desk, and a vanity in the common area. The toilet and shower are together in what kind of looks like a spaceship capsule in the middle of the room. One cool thing is how high tech this hotel is - you have an ipad that controls everything in the room from the room temp, your blinds, to the TV, to connecting your devices to the TV to stream music, etc. In the lobby bar you can opt in for hotel breakfast buffet, but instead we would just grab coffees as we were getting ready. Grace at the bar was super friendly, as was all of the staff. My one area for improvement is the elevator. We received a notice that one of the three elevators was broken during our stay and every time we would get on the elevator it would take us multiple floors up before going down. Not the worst thing in the world, but just annoying if you're in a rush to get somewhere. If you are looking for an affordable, centrally located hotel to stay with a friendly staff this hotel is your spot. You have multiple subway stations within a 1-2 minute walk which can easily get you to any neighborhood you want to go during your stay. Would definitely return!

Prime location! Modern, spacious rooms (for the city)!…read more The elevators though.... Oy. I stayed at this hotel over the New Years holiday and was thrilled to be so close to Madison Square Garden and Times Square. As was expected, check in was a bit chaotic given the time of year. The ground floor entrance was PACKED with luggage on first arrival. After weaving our way through, we located the check-in desk on the 5th or 6th floor. Tons of people but adequate seating to wait for our room to be ready. An upper floor meant having to figure out their dreaded elevator system. It left something to be desired, to say the least. With only 3 elevators that service the whole of the hotel, and a 4th that goes who knows where, it was almost always a lengthy struggle to catch one. No buttons on the interior of the carriage, all elevators were called with a touchscreen device that seemingly tried to pack as many people as possible into one small space, leaving many behind that couldn't fit, before directing the passengers to another elevator to repeat the whole process over again. One day was so bad, it was actually preferable to walk up the stairs to the 14th floor. Woof. The room itself was wonderful. Spacious, with 2 beds. Very clean. Beautiful view of the city and the arena next door. Great way to catch the sun set. Walk in shower with both an overhead and handheld shower attachment. Great lighting. Shower had heavily frosted glass that faced the bedroom area so be prepared for your silhouette to be on full display for anyone you may be rooming with. Nice sized closet, safe, and mini fridge. Big flat screen television. Window shade worked very well to block out the light if you're hoping to sleep in late. Walls can be a bit thin, especially if you have a rowdy bunch of kids right next door as we did. Aside from the elevators, the perks far outweighed the usual peskier elements (e.g., noise, etc.) one encounters when staying away from home. Would stay here again, perhaps during a less busy time of year, if that's even possible.

I was excited to stay here anyway, because of course it was on my bucket list, but the stay was so…read morequiet and lovely that I am blown away. I got a petite room since I was traveling alone which I would not recommend for a couple, but for me it was perfect. The bathroom area was the best part and not at all an afterthought. They knew women would be coming and they nailed it, down to the magnifying mirror. Whenever you get to spend time with other book lovers, it's a plus, so I also very much loved being able to talk to people in the common room on the 2nd floor. Often times NYC misses this in their hotels. The books here aren't anything you really want to read so bring your own books but all in all 5+ stars for me!

Fellow bibliophiles will especially appreciate the concept of this book-laden bolthole. I really enjoyed being able to pop into the Reading Room at any time and get tea, water, fruit, and other snacks. The hotel's bar, Bookmarks, is a lovely space on the 14th floor to meet a friend for drinks, but make sure to get a reservation before heading up. Each floor of the Library Hotel is dedicated to one of the ten major categories of the Dewey Decimal system. My room was 800.003 Poetry, which is a petite room with one full bed. And when I say petite, I mean it! Think room for a bed and little else. But this is NYC so I didn't need much more. If you want to be in Midtown Manhattan, the Library Hotel is a perfect choice.

All the meeting rooms were clean and organized. We had over 1,000 conference attendees and needed ample space and everything went pretty smoothly. Temperature control was generally good, but got a tiny bit chilly at certain points of the day. The staff were extremely prompt with setting up and removing catering food, but were not the friendliest. They have a free standing pumping station for those that need it. It was easy to access and decently clean, but could've used a wipe down by the second day. They provided a mini fridge in one of the meeting rooms for storage.

AVOID AVOID AVOID! DO NOT BOOK HERE!…read more I came here around April for a work trip and no where on the reservation page did it say that the hotel was under construction. They also offered the price including breakfast. Arrived at the hotel and saw that they only had one working elevator for a hotel that was over 20 floors high. There was a line for the elevator that you had to wait for at least 20 minutes to take. I asked the about the breakfast and they said the restaurant was closed so no hot breakfast. Why is this hotel offering a room rate price with breakfast when there is no restaurant for breakfast?! They told me they had bagged breakfast, which was always gone and coffee was all gone too. Took over 10 minutes to wait for new coffee to arrive. Renovation work bright and early at 8am. I was offered loyalty points for compensation by the manager, Delanie, and these points never showed up. I was also mistakenly charged for drinking their water bottles when I didn't even touch those bottles. They never even told me that I was going to be charged after checking out. I just saw a random extra charge on my credit card. The manager, Delanie, had said this would be refunded, but never saw this refund come through just like the loyalty points.
