Stay far far away from this dealer!!! We have been to the dealership 3 times now because we never received a phone call back and had to drive one hour one way to their car lot, and obviously the return trip home. The salesman who never introduced himself (brownish greying hair, acts like he doesn't have a brain cell in his head met us out in the lot the first time we visited. I asked him several times about the cars he told me were do in on Friday or Saturday 4/20-4/21 because we didn't like the Focus they had on the lot that was an overpriced pile of junk. I asked " what shape are they in, fair- to excellent being a guide line" He couldn't answer my question. Four times I asked him if he had photo's of the cars so we would know whether or not we would be wasting our time. I thought he was deaf so I repeated the question again, still know answer, very odd. That was April 16th we called Friday they didn't have the car, we called Saturday morning on our way through Oneonta to Delhi and were told that they had to deliver a car that morning and that they would be open to 5pm that evening so on our way back from Delhi we called at 4:15 no answer, 4:22 left a message, 4:35 no answer. I didn't want to make a trip out to Colliersville which is way out of my way but I thought well we will give it one last try. We reached the dealership at 4:45 and low and behold everyone had left for the day. The car we came to see a Kia Rio was sitting there on the lot with no one in sight to let us test drive the car. We left a message and told the dealer Bill Hotaling how we had traveled all the way to test drive the car for nothing. I called first thing this morning to see if we could test drive the car 4/23/12 and was informed by Bill at 8:30 am this morning that someone was already test driving the car. He said he would call me in an hour about the car. 9:30 came and went and I had to be to the mechanic before 10:00. My husband said he would call me in case he got a call from Bill. No call came so I decided to hit the dealership on my way back to Delhi.
Well Dopey came out to the lot and saw us looking at the car he realized that we were the same people that had called earlier. Walks over said the car is sold. Now mind you my daughters boyfriend is quite a mechanic himself and could tell by looking at the brakes that the car was never driven before we reached the dealership at 11:00. I asked him why he never called me back. He mumbled that the car was sold and he wasn't doing business with us. I told him I appreciate his great business savvy in so many words while the coward walked away.
Way to go Hotaling you are just a coward among men and need to learn what it means to be a business man. In this economy can you offered to treat paying customers this way?Thank god we didn't buy the car from you I can just imagine what kind of service we would have received if something were to have gone wrong during the 60 day warranted period Yikes!!! I would not have pursued this car with such endless trial and error if it didn't look like such a nice car but looks can be deceiving. Should have gone with my first instinct that and Idiot is an idiot after all what did I expect? There is a one star rating because you can't leave less I would have left negative 10 !!!!! read more
