I was impressed at what I saw! There were self check out lanes (3) to avoid additional interaction with others unnecessarily and can help expedite the check out process. There is a hot bar where you can customer order your food choices as well as a refrigerated section for cold food (subs, salads, yogurts). Like other gas stations, they had bagged snacks and many cold bottled beverages. The interior was brightly lit and clean. While you're here, don't forget to sign up for their membership program to get a discount on gas and earn points off on future gas purchases with in store purchases. This is the best gas station around me. First of all they do have air (although it's not free but…read moredoes have a card reader) and the pumps are fast and plentiful. Outside there's no loitering people so one can feel safe while outside of the vehicle. Inside it's the cleanest station around. The floors are routinely cleaned while the air ducts are free of dust and debris (yes I pay attention to that). Next the fountain machines appear to be clean as well with a nice variety of soft drinks. The shelves are always stocked full with snacks and munchies along with drinks in the fridges. The best part is there's always at least two cashiers and their fast. Moreover the card readers are fairly new so they speed up the process as well if you're inside. The people are extremely friendly too! Again, if you need to hit a gas station for any reason, this is the one to hit. They're clean, fast and safe so you'll be in and out before you know it!

What a difference location can make. When I lived in Indian Trail NC, we had a Harris Teeter by…read moreeach of my two houses. Much smaller and not as sophisticated. I'm here to tell you Harris Teeter in Nexton must be the best one I've been to in SC, literally while it puts all other local grocery stores to shame. I wish I lived close and not off of Old Trolly. When I say it's huge, I mean it, I lived in Kansas City and Austin TX, I know big stores - hint Bucee's first gas station was 14 miles from my house. First of all, the location is easy to get in and out, ample parking and the main road right there. It's in a very safe section of town while inside and outside are extremely clean. Any one will pick up on that immediately walking in, which should put any customer at ease. The produce section ROCKS. I mean it. For instance, I've been hunting for watermelon radish for a long time at 3 other chains and nothing. Harris Teeter had, watermelon radish, dragon fruit, buddha fingers, Rambutan, fresh exotic (not dried) mushrooms and so on. Moreover, I inspected some raspberries and a few other things - no mold! Best produce besides a farmers market! Next, it looks as if they're experimenting taking a page out of midwestern stores' playbook. They have a bar here! Now being a single gentleman I often like meeting women at a grocery store - although I always find the attractive women have some sort of rock on their finger. But I'm seriously considering coming back when it's open, if it's a true bar and not just a wine, beer sampling area. Not that I don't love a good wine tasting but my imagination tells me I would enjoy the upper crust time of "fu-fu, bougie" women that I envision would be partaking here. I need to do more research but I love this idea for the greater Summerville area. While I didn't get any of their baked, seafoods, meats, salads, etc they have by far the best selection, excluding specialty butchers and fish mongers. Their fresh bread laced with rosemary and olive oil danced on the air while chocolate perfumed a few isles. I scanned over everything and cursed my diet b/c I could have really destroyed their food here. As for prices, it's probably just a bit higher than their competitors but I don't mind paying a little higher for a more robust selection. I mean, I saw things like phyllo cups, the newest fall items already being stocked in July, a wider selection of health foods and the list goes on and on. Finally the people here are extraordinary and go the extra mile. I asked where something was and the clerk took me too it. They didn't say "isle 4 by the bread" but nope they wanted to make sure I got what I needed. Moreover I don't have a card, No Problem! They gladly slid the store card in the reader to give me a discount! Come on... who else does that!? As far as grocery stores - this is where you want to go. The only thing lacking the variety of instore made food options and a place to dine. Granted, I came from Austin TX where we had HEB, literally 5 restaurants in the grocery store. Same for Hy-Vee in Overland Park KS. Those Midwest grocery stores - they have full dining experiences. What's next a movie theatre!? Ok, back to the point, here in Summerville, Harris Teeter is the king of grocery quantity, quality and customer service. Drop on by and check it out, but make sure your bank account can handle it.

You get what you pay for! and I get it! it is my fault not theirs but I also blame management for using poor quality ingredients and for the bait and switch factor. Had to throw most of the pizza to the trash, I should have not paid attention to what my friend said about the Monday pizza. About the only thing I like about this store is the bar with live music some days but makes me think what kind of wine am I getting. They are in the business of selling groceries and you would think that the deli and the bar side are just a convenience for the customers but I am not sure I will buy any prepared food or wine from a brand I am not familiar with

I went there once with $57 of winning lotto tickets. She scanned them, I told her I wanted $40 on power ball. She rang it up and said I owed $10. Once that was corrected she handed me $57, not asking if I wanted anything else. I stayed there and I asked for 5 items, and she lazily went over getting the wrong ones, I had to tell her again, and she rolled her eyes and went back to get them. Then today, I turned In winning tickets, asked for 10 draws, $4 each on powerball, what did I get? 20 draws at $2 each . I didn't catch it in time and walked out with them. I had to ask this other lady and clarify a few times exactly what I wanted. This place is going down hill!

I paid for $20 worth of gas and didn't think I had to check my gas gage to make sure the gas went in the tank. So I pumped the gas and pulled off got on the interstate and happened to look down and then realized that my gas gage never moved. I'm thinking my car's gage is messed up and nope I paid for $20 worth of air in my tank. Couldn't very well go back because I already drove about 10-15mins down the road and didn't think they would honor it. So I took that loss and decided to give them another chance. It happened again, but this time I checked before I even fully cranked my car up. So they did honor it this time and I've been coming back for all my needs since. Also, I drive for a living so I frequent all kinds of gas stations, but I try my best to find a Parkers before others. I really like the atmosphere in most of them, but not all. I've come across some truly mistreated ones. The College Park Rd one is by far my favorite out of all of them. I believe it starts with the management at any work environment to have a very good work environment. If the employees are treated right and with respect, but also held to a certain standard then they'll do the job and want to show up and be respectful to Everyone. The manager over the College Park store is really awesome I see her working right along with her employees, talking to them about whatever they need to talk about or what needs to be done and so on. I've watched her run the kitchen, work the floor, train employees, take deliveries all while talking to the customers and helping them during the process or her staff will jump right in and take over whatever she needs them to. They're all a truly wonderful team in that store and I always recommend the store to anyone whom may ask or don't ask I tell them anyway to go to the Parkers on College Park Rd you'll be happy with the service and the cleanliness. Parkers just FYI that's one manager that you need to hang on to at all cost because she knows what she's doing and she does it very well! If I had a business to get in shape and keep in shape I'd steal her in a heartbeat! Sincerely, A Very Satisfied Customer SR
