We stopped in on our way out of town from an overnight visit with our daughter. She recommended the place. It was the only shop open on Sunday morning, besides Starbucks, so that made the decision easier. I would highly recommend Hots Shots! The barista answered my questions about a couple of their specialty drinks and even made a recommendation. If we are ever in town again, this will be on our must stop list. For those wanting a drive thru service, they have this option, but the inside is spacious with plenty of seating if you prefer to hang out for a bit. read more

It kind of disappoints me each time, which is a real bummer. This place is good for people who just like a really sweet coffee, and aren't in it for the flavor of the coffee. I order half sweet for that reason, but then the coffee itself is very tangy and/or weak. I think sometimes they let their shots burn, and other times, they run the espresso right over the ice, melting it and watering down the drink. The place isn't terrible, just disappointing. read more

"Out of town-er" here... I come to town about every 3 months and drive past this spot thinking it may be the only coffee shop in town. Thank the Lord it's not. 1. They don't seem to take much pride in their espresso. It was gross. And I freaking love coffee and can deal with many poor roasts. 2. No English Breakfast Tea. 3. Their Lactose Free options are all sweetened. 4. Customer Service was well that of a self righteous millennial. When I asked for an unsweetened option she responded "we like things that taste good here." After rolling her eyes at my request. But great things came from this terrible trip! Blake's Coffee! So my test the first time in any coffee shop is to order a hot coffee. For me, they need to be able to make a good bold cup of coffee that allows the flavor of the beans to shine, absent any additional flavorings or sugar that might mask the flavor. Sadly, the coffee I got was weak and watery, closer to convenience store coffee than premium coffee house varieties. The inside is nice though, lots of seating, very comfortable and free wifi. I also had a jalapeno "Pig" for 99 cents, really a short pig in a blanket. Very tasty, but appeared to be only about 1/3 of a hot dog. I might try an espresso drink if I do return, but I won't be coming back for any more coffee. read more

This coffee shop is close to hotels and people like me from out of state who stay at them. I was disappointed and uncomfortable with number of signs and wall paintings displaying Scripture quotes. I don't want Jesus with my latte, and will go to the higher rated shop, Blake's. read more

Hot Shots has two HUGE problems: one of them being that the owner takes tips from her employees when she works in the mornings. It's commonly known that proprietors do NOT take tips. They own the business. If you need to take tips from your employees just to survive, you should do more for your customers and bring in better business. The second problem is that they treat their customers like they should be thanking THEM for making mediocre coffee. The espresso is not made properly; There's no scale on the counter, and none of their baristas (including the owner) have any professional training in how to make espresso drinks. From what I've seen, and heard around town, this place isn't going to last. Now that there is a bigger, friendlier, tastier coffee shop in town, why would anyone go back to a place that relied on not having any competition? read more

The coffee was okay. The service was terrible. The guy working the store shut it down half an hour early turning off the lights and leaving those who were there in the dark. Two customers came in, stood at the counter for an extended period, and eventually left because they were never acknowledged. The coffee is excellent. Many times the Mule Kicker has saved me on long work days! The atmosphere inside the establishment is very class for a coffee shop. The wait staff are very polite, quick and accommodating. However, the dress code of the staff is somewhat questionable, such as very short shorts, a bit revealing for a business establishment. However, that being only a minor issue, I am truly pleased with the business. I'm glad we have one nearby! read more

However, when we arrived at the window, it was exactly 5:00pm and we were advised that they could not serve us because they were closed. Very poor attitude and we will not go back. The quality of espresso shots is very good: rich, smooth, and not bitter. As another reviewer mentioned, they do not sell drip coffee, but rather café americano, which consists of espresso shots mixed with water off the boil. I have had this drink several times, with whipped cream added, and it is definitely a notch above most standard drip coffee preparations. I have also had both their lattes and cappuccinos, both of which are delicious and prepared properly. Customer service is great if ordering inside the restaurant, but can sometimes run slow if one is using the drive-thru widow, as I'm not certain if their driveway bell works consistently. Overall, this coffee house is a great location to have coffee, whether on the go or staying to relax in the lounge area. read more

I love the coffee here. Always rich and flavorful. The MuleKicker is a personal favorite of mine. Six shots of espresso!! You can order your drink hot or cold. Their menu is expansive and ever-growing. Teas, berry blends, smoothies, you name it. The employees are friendly, quick and knowledgeable. The only thing I don't like is the employee's dress code. I have been there on several occasions, due to the lack of competition in this town, and not once have been served with kindness. The owner is rude. She wears tasteless workout clothes every day, leaving little to the imagination. If a customer orders in a way she doesn't agree with, she will get short with them. Her attitude is that of a toddler. The other employees are kind enough. They smile and say thank you. But the owner is just as bitter as the coffee she serves. I will not be returning again.
