This place has gone downhill for piercings. It's not like it used to be. They can't even put a longer stem in when asked after 2 absorption issues. Now the earring is reabsorbing due to being pierced with too short of a stem. This could have been avoided if it was done upon initial request. It is no fun having your ears eat your earrings bc a "qualified" piercer can't take the time or have the common sense to pierce or replace with a longer stem. read more

It has been 5 years since I got a tattoo to remember my daughter. I still wake up crying over the work that was given. I paid $600 and now have to pay a minimum $1,500 to get my work fixed. Absolutely no compassion. Colored me black to make the session longer. read more

I brought my little sister here the other day to get her naval pierced. Let's just say she would of fainted just by seeing the needle. The staff was amazing with how they handled her. They explained in full detail about the whole process and what to expect. I was in the background telling her it doesn't hurt at all. When she was getting it done they had it all done before the pain kicked in so she laughed how scared she was. They did an amazing job with her. I recommend this place to people. Okay. So I have been going to this shop for my piercings for years. I recently sent someone in to look at a nose stud for me as I am out of the area. They were completely rude to her, because she does not have any piercings or tattoos that they could see. Now, this was not the lady who does the piercings, I have talked with her before and she is very nice and helpful. This was a man who worked the front, and he completely shut my friend down. She was willing to spend quite a bit of money in the shop, and she was told that, "I'm not sure why you are in here, you can get that type of jewelry at any store." This is not the case, my nose piercing was done with an 18 gauge needle. My friend told the man this and he acted like she was completely stupid. The thing is, I had my nose pierced there at that shop, and they could have pulled up the information, but he did not want to go through the hassle. My friend left with all of the cash she had for jewelry in her pocket, clearly he wasn't interested in selling anything or even being a decent human being. Also, my friend called repeatedly before heading to the shop and each time she called they were "extremely busy." When she got to the shop, it only had one other customer. This is not the place to go if you are interested in buying jewelry for piercings. If you are going to have someone working the front of the shop, at least make sure they are friendly. read more

I have been going to this tattoo shop for years. Definitely the most talented artists in the Valley, each specializing in their own genre of art! I have never found this shop to be anything but sparkling clean, and the artist and piercers accolades on display are quite impressive. I also like that everyone that works there has Red Cross certifications that are both current and on display. If it's a quality tattoo at a fair price (you get what you pay for!) in a clean environment that you seek, Hot Rod is the place for you! Hell...even the maintenance guy is awesome! read more
