The massage therapist, Kailin, was the most advanced therapist I've had the privilege of working with. My impression was this is a Chinese establishment. I taught in China before, so I can understand Mandarin. Before agreeing to try their business, I called in directly and verified (in English): "Are you a certified massage therapist?". She answered me (in English): "Yes, I have been to massage school. I have a license." She was very confident and professional over the phone. I made the appointment and the rest is history. Please be advised, they insist on paying with cash to avoid service fees. My results were worthy of at least 15% tip. Why? My preferences were understood and provided: Pressure: strong Using feet: yes Using elbows: yes Oil: yes Hot stone: yes She was also able to use the 60 min distributed therapy evenly throughout the body. I have nothing to compare this massage with as this was my first massage ever and will more than likely be my last. I do not know if it is normal but not what I expected. I thought I would go home relaxed, feeling great but I was wrong. I felt OK when I left but a few hours later my neck and back was so sore that I had to lay on a heating pad and take some Tylenol to relieve the pain. I hope this is not normal for deep tissue massage but my neck and back ended up getting so sore that I had trouble sleeping and is even still sore to the touch this morning. I had been trying for a few days to get in and while they generally had availability it was for later than I could go. Last night I had the pleasure of getting a 90-min massage. It helped my sore back and legs. She started with standing on my back and walking and rocking gently back and forth. It was $100 + tip ($20) which I paid in cash. I would recommend them. Ok this is a mixed review for several reasons. I loved my massage by Jing it was deep and amazing. However as a massage therapist myself I have NEVER walked into a massage establishment and been asked to pay and tip as soon as you walk in. Yes before the massage! My husband and I got a couples massage and the lady who massaged him was holding a Kleenex to her nose when we walked in. I asked her "are you sick, because my husbands having heart surgery and can't get sick". Her response was no I'm just picking my nose! I can't make this up! I was blown away. Oh let me tell you also. The price of the massage is $60 for one hour which is good however they charged $7 card fee which is high and then asked for a tip, like I said before we even started. I have to say we won't be going back even though Jing is great. read more
