The woman who tried to help me couldn't get jewelry in a said I needed to be re-pierced... so she re-pierced it but had trouble getting it through. She also seemed to have no experience piercing at all and was expressing being scared to pierce people and doesn't like causing people pain... I noticed that she pierced it lower than it was and closer to my breast and not the same way that it was when she told me she would be re-piercing through the same holes and she didn't - she pierced lower towards my breast. I don't know if I have an infection or what is going on because it is over a month later and I'm having extreme pain in my nipple even when just putting on a shirt and my nipple looks larger or swollen compared to my other one still over a month later and with all of this pain. My boyfriend gave me a hug this morning and I screamed out in pain because even something that light is causing a shock of pain everytime even just putting a shirt on. I'm very experienced with piercings and have never had an infection before and I'm not sure what is going on because I don't seem to have any discolored puss but my nipple being enlarged and in this much pain is very concerning to me and I will be going to urgent care today and possibly another shop to try and find out what's wrong with my nipple. I'm very upset and disappointed and even more upset I paid $100+ to have an experience like this when I know Vision or even heart and dagger if they were still around wouldn't have charged me as much to re-pierce a nipple ring that just fell out the day before nonetheless wouldn't have caused me to have an issue/possible infection

It's a super cute boutique, very bright, very clean, and a great selection to choose from. The staff was very personable and took the time to answer everyone's questions. I originally called on a…read moreSunday to see if I could walk in, but just like the website says, they are busiest on weekends so appointments are recommended if you want to go in on a Saturday or Sunday. I made an appointment for Wednesday instead since that was the next time I was free. The guy who greeted me was very friendly. I let him know that I was interested in two helix piercings and he showed me the studs/rings that people typically get. I knew that I wanted rings (though beware: getting piercing with rings might make the healing process more annoying because the piercing can be irritated more easily) so I picked the surgical steel rings. (I don't remember if they were implant grade now though. I didn't react to the material anyway. For people looking to get pierced, you should double check that.) Chuck was both professional and very helpful. When he was marking the placement on my ears, he gave me a few choices and even suggested one combo over another. I was thankful for it because I have super tiny ears and I didn't want it to look too crowded. Nearly 5 months later, my piercings are perfectly fine. There was some irritation along the way (totally my fault, I'm fidgety...) and a little bump formed but I continued to do the suggested sea salt soaks and my piercings have healed beautifully. As for jewelry selections, I didn't take much time to browse, but it seemed like they had a good variety to choose from. Especially a great place for Rutgers students to get pierced since it's a brief walk from CAC to Easton Ave. I have a friend who's gone here twice -- once for a nose piercing and another for her own helix. She went over everything with me and showed me the earrings. It was way too plain for me and the only downfall - they don't have a good variety to choose from in stock. If you wan't rhinestones/more bling or a specific style, etc., you'll need to order it with her, wait for it to come in and then go back to get your piercing. With the fact that I have been contemplating getting this piercing done for a long time, I knew I was ready to get it done right then and there..but also wanted something with bling. Lucky for me, Shannon was able to find an earring with a "little" bling and told me it was available since the person who ordered it, after a month or so, never came back. I decided to go for it and so glad I did. I did tell Shannon to not show me the needle she was going to use or anything because I'd probably run out of the room lol Shannon was very informative; told me everything she was doing, step by step. She was very clean, very nice and super gentle. It happened so quickly with one deep breath. After she was done, she went over in detail on clean/care instructions.
