I've also had the pleasure of working with Doug, who did an amazing job on a sternum tattoo for me. Both artists have been incredibly patient as I requested to see different size options and made changes to the designs. The shop has a comfy waiting area with couches and a water fountain for your convenience. It is also very clean including the restroom! Lets put it this way-- I came in looking to get one piece and now i'm building out an entire sleeve with Doug. Ive been to a ton of artists and shops across the world in the past decade or so, but this place takes the cake dude! Only wished id come in sooner tbh. Doug isn't just THE guy for tats, he's the classiest, most friendly individual who really knows how to make the shop a whole vibe where you can truly communicate / talk through your designs with ease. I'd started on my half-sleeve when I was 17 or 18- much too young, to be honest-- and I didn't know what I wanted, so I kept adding things until I was left with basically a mess and some regret. So I went and got a few laser sessions to remove/lighten the tattoo, and did some research to find someone capable of a beautiful cover-up, something I'd strategically planned, instead of spontaneously picked out. I stumbled upon Desmond of White Lotus, who was not only experienced in Japanese style art, but also had many very talented cover-ups in his portfolio. It was a hike, and I had to wait outside for a few hours to book with him (he only opens bookings every 3 months or so), but it was so worth it. It took a few sessions, but I am very thrilled with my outcome, and Desmond and the White Lotus staff are super friendly. I've had plenty of compliments on my arm already, something I've pretty much never heard before. I'm so pleased that I'll no longer have to wear long sleeves in the summer anymore. My only regret is that I didn't come here sooner, and wasted so much time being embarrassed by my previous tattoo. I plan to be back in a few months, after I take a little time off from torturing my skin. I'd recommend White Lotus to anyone, especially for cover-ups! read more

I came in on 12/3/22 just to price a tattoo. And they were able to get me in that day to have it done. Tony, did an amazing job on the writing. Me and my 2 year old daughter sing it everynight, and now she points at the tattoo and sings it. It came out so beautiful, and I am so happy he did it for me. Don't treat people like this !! I am a senior citizen who came in for a tattoo several months ago - and it's been on my mind to write a review - I wasn't happy with my experience. I was given an inexperienced tattoo artist who said he had 4 years experience. I didn't know before he started that he had little experience. He made a mistake in spelling my husband's name and I was so unhappy. The owner comes over and states, "Oh we can fix it after the swelling comes down" So they patronized me, and this is no way to treat the elderly. To be clear - I am reviewing the artist and not the facility. But it is collateral damage unfortunately. White Lotus has a decent facility thats clean and makes you feel at home with nice black couches and water for your convenience, also I cannot speak of the other artists. I can only speak of Jordan Ocello who did work on my arm I hope anyone that reads this will find it useful because I was just like you looking at reviews. Because after all, tattoos will be on you forever. Your kidding yourself if you think a laser will get rid of ink layers beneath your skin. It's one and done. You want to go to the best tattoo shop with the best artiest So you don't make the same mistakes as me and continue a cycle of pain, as I have had work done by other tattoo artists and have tried to have a good experience and Jordan has failed me as a client. I would accuralty sum up his work as average and criminally overpriced. I have about 20 tattoos split between 3 artists in NYC and Jersey City (Jordan being the 3rd also last in quality but highest in price - go figure) The work I had was an arrow design with some lining and grey shading on only inner of my bicep. This was less than 2 hours to finish for work that isn't too difficult to a experienced artiest and the price was a disgusting $420.00!!!!!!!!!! (Not kidding) RIPOFF. The artist I used to go to who has moved said the tattoo I got was worth HALF of what I was charged Here are 3 points for you to learn and apply from my mistakes and you could say this applies to a variety of situations: Remeber this 1. Find out and agree on a price BEFORE THE WORK starts ALWAYS and no exceptions. When you talk about prices and the cost of the tattoo makes you vomit - get up and walk out. End of story 2. Do NOT leave a deposit. Or the BARE minimum. This is so you don't get screwed when you decide to walk out if the artiest or price is less than what you deserve. If you leave a deposit, you surrender what you paid when you walk out. 3. Neogtiate the price before the work begins. Instead of prioritizing good and valuable work, Jordan is after whats in your pockets. Deeply disappointing. Talk with him at your own risk. The business as a whole is great! Wonderful artists that are talented and passionate. However, Brian Dicolla is narcissistic and pompous and will try to make his clients feel like it's an honor to be in his presence. He makes fun of their ideas and makes you feel stupid for wanting what you like. His pieces have taken a serious decline in quality anyway if you are interested in getting tattooed by him. He scared me away from wanting anything from him, but after looking st his Instagram, it seriously looks like he doesn't care anymore. Just about the money for him. My husband had a portrait of our lab done by Mike DiDada , and it is the most beautiful tattoo I have ever seen , hands down! The line work is clean and the shading incredible. We wanted the portrait to show him aged, with some graying and a bit jowly. The artwork is so realistic we want reach out and pet him.
