    Smoked beef brisket sandwich
    Sanger Y.

I've been to some world-renowned BBQ joints (Terry Black's and Franklin's in Austin, Rendezvous in Memphis, etc.) and I think that the smoked brisket sandwich from Hot Pork can go toe-to-toe with any of them. For whatever reason, there's a random wealth of great sandwich spots at Dundas and Shaw. You can literally go across the street from Hot Pork and get a great cold cut at Lambo's Deli or walk 5 minutes and get a great veal sandwich at California Sandwiches. But I think that Hot Pork might be the best out of all of them. And that's all based on the single item I've had there. This is a simple sandwich shop with a simple menu. You go up to the counter, they take your order, you pay, you wait about 5 minutes, and you're served absolute perfection. If you want a lunch, definitely try the smoked brisket sandwich. You'll probably need a couple shots of espresso afterwards, but it'll be worth it. I've heard from some friends that their breakfast menu is just as excellent, and will most certainly be back to try more items on their menu. Don't sleep!

Hot Pork located near Dundas St. W. and Grace St. is a deli serving up delicious sandwiches as well. All their smoke meats, cured fishes, pate and pickles are made onsite with no fillers, additives, or preservatives. There is some seating available inside the shop where you can enjoy a sandwich and they also have drip coffee and juice, water, and pop available as well. I stopped by Hot Pork during their opening weekend and ordered a pork sausage patty breakfast sandwich as well as a small drip coffee. The breakfast sandwich was quite filling despite it looking small in size. The pork sausage patty was definitely the standout as you could taste the spices they used to make the patty. I definitely enjoyed the bfast sandwich and am excited to try more of their breakfast sandwich creations. I also ordered a chicken liver pate to go as well. This was delicious and I almost ate the whole jar by myself. It was creamy, smoothy, and extremely flavourful. Overall, great breakfast sandwich! Would definitely return to try their other sandwiches as well as purchase more take home items as well next time!

After seeing the owner of Hot Pork slow cooking his brisket on social media, I knew this guy knew his way around BBQ and I had to come try the brisket. We tried the beef brisket breakfast sandwich, which is something I'd never seen before, and it was incredible. Despite being piled between an english muffin and egg, the brisket was the softest and most tender part of the bite resulting in an incredible texture profile. To balance it out, there are some crispy burnt ends of the brisket in there which made for an even better bite. And to top it all off, the sandwich went amazingly well with the combo of BBQ sauce and hollandaise sauce. I can't wait to come back again and try their chicken breakfast sandwich too!

The servers were friendly, and informative - explaining that the entire animal is used and not wasted. My favourite was the squash which was a perfect mix of savory and sweet. The rest of the table liked the beef tongue and smoked pork chop with the mushrooms. Portions were good as all of this was shared amongst 5 people.

The ambience, the service already left a great first impression to me, and this would be the perfect spot to have a celebration, or a cozy date. The food was magnificent. There are a lot of options to choose from, and the differing sizes of the dishes they offer allow you and your party to share and try just about anything you want. They emphasize the idea that most things are shareable, which is a bonus, as if you are dining in these type of restaurants, you just want to try as much as you can when you're there. The meat is extremely tender and seasoned so well. Even the leftovers for the next day taste just as amazing as it did the previous night. And yes, if you come visit, definitely try their sticky toffee pudding dessert. It is a shareable size and it will leave such a great final touch to your experience dining here. One thing to note, the dishes add up quite easily and will become an expensive meal after ordering a few different dishes. Overall, I would recommend everyone to try out this restaurant. The ingredients they source, the idea of using every part of meat so nothing gets wasted, makes it feel good to support the restaurant.

I've typically always been a fan of the spaducci sticks from from Vincentina meats but over the years, I've noticed that the size and quality have been decreasing while the price has been increasing. Got a lead on Bonanza who truly is a meat boutique, every possible kind of meat, cut, animal, that you could want in every form (form whole lamb/rabbit) all the way down to fileted, portioned, chopped, etc. Basically if you can dream it... Bonanza can do it! The spaducci we got were easily double the size what I'm used to, and the lamb we perfectly marbled so I know when I eat these in about 6 hours they are going to be juicy, hot and delicious! It's a bit of a stretch to find the place, it's located off of Jevlan which you can access off of a side street that connects to Weston road just north of Hwy 7! This is my new go to butcher in Vaughan! Check them out! Eatcrest OUT!

Ask Joe to prepare a porchetta for you, and then you cook it at home, it is better than any Vincentina meats, and, cheaper!!! Love it, just love it.,
