I live in San Francisco and was visiting my son that moved to the area so we were both excited to check out this place. Staff was amazing - friendly, chatty and pleasure to interact with. They offer the traditional mini gingersnap vegan cookies and had vegan vanilla ice cream that was delicious! Lots of outdoor seating - perfect spot to people watch and enjoy your sweet treats. CC accepted.

Strap in ladies and gentlemen.... Reviewer discretion is advised. Hot cookie is hot like hot shorts. Spicy names and suggestive servings everywhere you look. This is not your mom and Pop bake shop, but rather an eventful giggle filled experience. Would I recommend this for a family visit? Depends on your family.... Nana might get a kick out of the phallic shape cookie, but parents with small children might want to keep the kids outside while you order. If you are in Palm Springs for a bachelorette or friends weekend, I highly recommend taking a gander at the sweets and treats. We opted for two cookies. The Boy Scout was a snickerdoodle topped with s'mores ingredients. These cookies were soft and decadent, but also not overly sweet. If you would like to have your hot cookie warmed, make sure to mention it to The attendant. Otherwise they come fresh out of the display in a discreet white paper bag. All puns aside I actually enjoyed the cookie quite a bit. They tend to be on the soft side for those chewy, soft cookie enthusiast. The staff was actually extremely helpful and kind while we giggled through our order. There isn't much standing space inside, but it was well air-conditioned. Not that you would want to linger around and make eye contact with anyone while you stuffed your face with a giant cookie. I will definitely be coming back with some friends maybe not anyone with kids though.

Smells so good from outside had to come in

The smell of the fresh cookies pulled me right in! I ordered the mini ice cream sundae, and it was a 10/10, warm cookie, cold ice cream, and the perfect sweet treat. The customer service was just okay, but the dessert definitely made up for it. I'd come back again whenever I'm craving something sweet!

A Truth, A Lie and a small Fabrication of what really went down... While walking the streets of Downtown Palm Springs after grabbing dinner. There. It. Was. In bright, bold, uppercase font: HOT COOKIE Kids... Close your eyes! (The Truth) Mom... Just stay in the car!! (The Lie) Momma didn't come through on this vacay Hunny (my wife)... Don't judge me, but Daddy needs a cookie!!! (A small fabrication of what really happened) It was actually my kids that saw the cookies in the window and there was no talking them down. So we walked in, looked around and of course, being that it was Palm Springs, naturally there's gonna be some adult shaped cookies in which my 5 year old daughter was like, "Daddy I want the rainbow one" My response... How about the round shaped chocolate chip cookie one instead? Luckily, it wasn't a hard twist of the arm and she happily obliged. I just wanted to get her cookie and get the hell outta of there before her next question was, Daddy what is that rainbow cookie shaped cookie anyway? Don't worry, I was prepared to say a rocket ship! Hey, it's Palm Springs and it just so happened to be an adult themed cookie shop... Can you really be upset? C'mon, Don't get your panties in a twist! The cookies were good and they satisfied all of our sweet tooth's. In addition to Hot Cookies... They have... check this... -Cold Ice Cream (what, You expected "Hot" Ice Cream?) -Milkshakes (that apparently bring all the boys to the yard) and they're like, it's better than yours ;) IYKYK And even Dipped Brownies! So... The next time you are rolling down S. Palm Canyon Drive and need a little pick me up after dinner... Put something sweet in your mouth at... HOT COOKIE!

Right on the main strip close to the Sonny Bono statue. The make some nice thick milk shakes. Service was great. This place is most likely packed in the summer. 80 degrees outside so we made a quick stop.

A playful and fun dessert spot known for its deliciousness! Hot Cookie serves chewy, freshly baked cookies in the heart of downtown Palm Springs. Love not only the taste of the cookies but the names of the cookies are so fun and the friendly staff -- make it even more of a memorable stop for a sweet treat after exploring town or after a great meal. Definitely not a spot to miss!

This was a fun visit at this cookie location. The service was great and the cookies are delicious and I also like the option of the day old cookies and reduced prices just as delicious as the day of.

A San Francisco staple finally landed in Palm Springs. If you've visited their other location in the Castro District in San Francisco, then this cookie place is a familiar visit (mainly for its provocatively shaped cookies). Food (4/5) The cookies at this location are on the family friendly side as there were no provocatively shaped cookies at the time that I went, but they had a decent selection of cookies available. I bought a white chocolate macadamia nut cookie, the Harvey milk toffee cookie, and the cookies and cream cookie. By far the white chocolate macadamia nut cookie was the best option because of the balance of the sweetness of the white chocolate and the savoriness of the macadamia nuts. My least favorite was the Harvey Milk toffee cookie because it was overly sweet and too thin. Service (3.75/5) The worker inside was somewhat friendly but he didn't really help us with any selection of the cookies and sort of just waited for us to make a decision when we ordered. I would have appreciated if he told us the most popular cookies to try as there were a decent amount of options to select from. Ambiance (3.75/5) The inside of this place is pretty bare and just had the case of cookies and ice cream options to choose from. There wasn't any seating inside, so expect to just take your order and walk somewhere else to eat them at. There's limited seating outside, so it's really a takeout focused restaurant to bring to your hotel or house.

    Inside

Stopped by Hot Cookie in downtown Palm Springs and it was such a fun experience. They have lots of gourmet cookies with very cheeky, adult-themed names that are clearly meant to be humorous and lighthearted -- definitely part of the charm and very on-brand for Palm Springs. The cookies were delicious: warm, soft, rich, and super satisfying, and they also serve ice cream if you want to turn it into a full dessert situation. Everything tasted fresh and indulgent in the best way. Staff were friendly and welcoming, and the shop fits right in with the playful, colorful downtown vibe. Great spot to grab dessert, laugh at the menu, and treat yourself while exploring Palm Springs.

I think Lappert's is the 1 ice cream shop in town that keeps rather late hours. When we arrived, I…read morefeel like the gentleman working behind the counter looked kind of overwhelmed. There was a long line for Minh. Lots of people wanted their cold sweet treats before the night ended. No matter, he kept on plugging along and kept helping everybody. He asked that people be patient and said that he appreciated that people are coming in and that they were being as patient as possible. I have a feeling we all just understood that it is what it is. Their prices are very reasonable. I feel like they're about the same as every other ice cream shop, especially the local ones. I am very glad that they were open when we came in. There are not very many places where you can find freshly dipped chocolate dipped/covered bananas. I happen to love a chocolate covered banana every now and then. Apparently this past visit was the time. It was so good. My kiddo had shaved ice. That was phenomenal. Their flavors are very good. And although at first, I thought that the amount of syrup that the store associate was putting on was going to be too much, it was not. It was sweet, but not over the top. There was enough syrup, but it wasn't like drinking a bowl full of juice at the end. Literally, just enough of everything. Typically we ask for our shaved eyes to be prepared with mochi Or condensed milk but this time, no just the classic syrups were good. They have quite a selection. There was a flavor or two I believe that I was looking for, but didn't seem to be available. That's fine. They were about 50 others to choose from. I can't remember what my husband ordered but he's got something and was quite happy with it. Although it was very hot out, there were a lot of people sitting outside in front of the store. A gentleman there apparently kind of parks himself on one of those benches and plays awesome instrumental music on his guitar on the streets in the downtown area of Palm Springs. He's actually very good. I can't remember what his Instagram name is, but I do remember my family tipping him for entertaining us, but also following him right away. He was really good. That made for a super nice experience at the ice cream shop. And if by chance the owner of this particular location does read my review, I really just want you to know how hard working your ice cream shop employees are. They were so awesome. They were really doing the most to try to help all of us and make us all happy. This was quite a treat. I was really glad that we stopped by. Oh, and before I forget to mention, parking is available in the downtown area all up and down the street. Considering we were at the ice cream shop fairly late, there was more than enough parking everywhere.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was incredibly frustrating--not because of the…read moreemployees, but because of management. On a peak summer weekend evening, during one of the busiest tourist seasons of the year, this location had only two employees working. One person was responsible for scooping ice cream for a line of well over 30 customers (including many children), while the other was simultaneously trying to begin closing duties and keep the store clean. The wait for a single scoop of ice cream was nearly an hour. This isn't an employee problem. It's a management and staffing problem. Watching these young employees--who appeared to be high school or college-aged--do everything they could to remain kind, professional, and efficient while being set up to fail was genuinely upsetting. No employee should be expected to serve an entire packed store while also maintaining cleanliness and preparing for closing. At minimum, a rush like this should have had multiple employees dedicated to serving customers, with another person focused on cleaning and operational tasks. As a customer, I was less bothered by the wait than I was by watching two people shoulder an impossible workload. It also raised concerns about whether employees are realistically able to take their required breaks when staffing is this inadequate. Kayla and Ishmael deserve recognition, a substantial raise, and sincere appreciation for maintaining professionalism under circumstances that would overwhelm almost anyone. They represented your business far better than your management did. Management needs to do better. This level of understaffing is unacceptable, especially during predictable peak business hours. It's 2026--businesses know when their busiest seasons are. Proper staffing isn't a luxury; it's a basic responsibility to both employees and customers. To Kayla and Ishmael: if you're reading this, thank you for your hard work. You deserve to work for an employer that values your time, your well-being, and your effort.

The flavor selection is rather small, but that means they get to focus more on the quality of their product. You can literally taste the difference just by sampling. Rosemary, however, was interesting. I was worried it'd be too "grassy" or pungent because rosemary is a stronger tasting herb, but to my surprise, super well balanced with its vanilla bean base. Seriously, it was delicious. I'd like to come back for their rose pistachio and lemon meringue pie, if they still have those available.
