It is centrally located near restaurants and shops and very easy to access via 15-20 min walk from Gare Bruges. We stayed in a six-person mixed dorm on the very top floor of the hostel. Note that there are no elevators so you will need to life everything up to your space. Note that you will need to do your own sheets on the bed so make sure you don't pass out before completing this task. Either I was really tired or that bed mattress was great because I slept like a baby the entire night I was there. There are also multiple outlets aligning the walls for you to charge your devices. Each floor also has private toilets and showers available, some having both included. The showers here look very modern and much cleaner than other hostels I've stayed. There are dedicated sink areas as well. The public spaces in this hostel were fantastic! There are a ton of open seating as well as a bar inside with its own happy hour available. While we didn't spend too much time hanging out in the lobby, I appreciate the openness and clean, friendly environment. If you arrive early or need a place to store luggage, they have a secured access-code closet that stores everyone's belongings. Great sense of security seeing this available free of charge. Definitely do not hesitate to book with Lybeers if you can. They are truly a superstar hostel!

Three of us stayed in a four-person mixed dorm hostel on the third floor. Luckily, no 4th person showed up so we had the room to ourselves. The beds were bunk style, no creaky noises. Underneath the bottom bunks, there are drawers where you can lock your belongings. You will need to bring a lock. The room and bathroom was very clean. Each floor had a shower/toilet and sinks, which were separate from each other. None of us had any issues waiting for them. There is a bar in the living area. They serve awesome beer for cheap prices. They do beer tours during the day. They also have a full kitchen for everyone to use. If I return to Bruges, I'd definitely stay here again! If you are driving to Bruges and need to park your car, it is a quick walk to Centrum 't Zand (Bruges) - Interparking. It is about 9 Euros to park for 24 hours.

For one thing, the rooms were in a separate building from the lobby/bar. Wifi only worked in the lobby/bar, which I didn't like so much, but can't be helped. Rooms were a tight squeeze between bunks. Also had a really funky smell, as I assume that it's a mixture of poor circulation and everyone's B.O. Not very pleasant. Drinks and 5€ pizza deal weren't bad, though, and breakfast was free (even though it was just bread and cereal, nothing else). Location wasn't too far from the center of town, although you'll still have to walk 10 to 15 minutes. Still, visit Bruges- you won't be disappointed.

The smell of the toilets is truly unbearable - I held my breath every time I went to the bathroom. Honestly anywhere you went in the building there was some sort of funky smell. On top of that, of the 3 floors and 26 rooms, there were 3 toilets and only 1 had a sink with soap in it. The others had "alcohol gel", which is absolutely disgusting if you ask me. I stayed on the 3rd floor and the nearest toilet is in the stairwell. The showers are a nightmare, the drain backs up quickly so you are standing in a couple inches of water almost immediately after your shower starts, not to mention you have to hold down a button for water to come out of the shower head! Let go of the button and the water stops altogether. I have never encountered a shower like this and that was the case for every single shower in the building - I checked. Found a huge bug in my bed one day that I'm 95% sure was a tick. Everything is mislabeled. It took me forever to find my room and I wasn't alone - all my roommates in the dorm had a similar experience. There are 2 faucets in the sink in the dorms, the one labeled hot is cold and the one labeled cold is hot. The hot one you can't even use because it literally scalds your hands. At breakfast there's always something that runs out, toasters are broken, or something is undercooked. Also, they assign you your bed which I thought was kinda weird. The only saving grace here was the location - it's about half a mile from the main square that has everything you'd want to see. The staff is pretty nice, but not really attentive whatsoever. If you need something you have to fight for their attention every single time, especially at reception and in the bar. The bar's only food is pizza, which was actually pretty good. The atmosphere at the bar downstairs is definitely fun, but not worth the shit show of a stay there if you ask me. It's just smelly and generally uncomfortable. I was extremely shocked and disappointed with this place. Stay elsewhere if you can.

I was clearly a little confused what the space was because there was no one sitting. I wondered around a little bit looking extra lost. After a few minutes of looking like a lost puppy, I asked the lady cleaning if I could get a drink or were they closing. The lady seemed annoyed that I was there and answered impatiently and said someone would be out to take my order. After waiting for about 10-15 minutes (on a beautiful patio mind you, which is why I was there) a friendly girl came to take my order. After the interesting and unwelcoming start, I enjoyed my fancy drink in a neon green chair. I guess if they didn't want me there, they shouldn't advertise to people walking by. This is definitely an upscale place and the initial interaction made me feel unwelcome. I give it three stars because I would return to have a cocktail on the patio again. My hope is that my initial interaction was just somebody having a bad day and not me being treated differently because I wasn't a hotel guest.

We enjoyed our spacious room. Only complaint is that they should have some shower/tub mats or texture on the bottom of the tub as it can get a little slippery stepping out. Great location and fairly quiet except for the construction going on in a building nearby.

Our journey began late at night, driving from Paris to Belgium, excited for a family stay at an Airbnb we had booked. On our way to our destination, we received a message from the host; the apartment had been canceled last minute due to it "not being ready." We were in total disbelief. It was 4 a.m., our kids were exhausted, and we suddenly had nowhere to go, in a country we had never been to before. Attempting to make the best of a bad situation, we drove to Brugge, about 20 minutes from the original location, hoping to find a hotel that could take us in. What we didn't anticipate was how impossible that would be. We must have called nearly every hotel in the area, all of them turned us away, telling us check-in wasn't possible until 3 p.m. We felt helpless and defeated. That's when Steve entered the picture and everything changed. Steve was nothing short of a miracle. With patience, compassion, and unmatched professionalism, he worked with my husband through a chaotic string of conversations and finally found us a room; a warm, welcoming space where our kids could finally get some rest, and where we as parents could breathe again. At that moment, we didn't care what kind of hotel it was, we just needed somewhere safe to land. But to our surprise, the hotel was absolutely beautiful. Steve didn't just help us find a room, he gave us relief, comfort, and kindness when we felt completely overwhelmed. His calm, courteous nature and his determination to help were exactly what we needed in that dark hour. We will NEVER forget Steve and what he did for our family. He was, without question, the light in a very difficult morning. To Steve -- thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You are a true professional, a lifesaver, and someone we will speak of with immense appreciation for years to come.
