Who would believe me when I say that the best espresso and desert espresso drinks are served on the highways? And if I said the espresso is 1.5€ and the most amazing chocolate espresso drink I ever had was 3.50€ would you believe me? Get this; chocolate fondant, white chocolate fondant, milk chocolate cream with espresso poured in then topped with whipped cream and Chocolate drizzle. Called cremino al caffe. WhaaaAaAaat? You can choose from 4 types. This place eats Starbucks lunch!!!!!!! Nothing like it on the planet except at, well, you know, "The" Autogrille. I'm still in shock. Starbucks and peets and even Tea and Coffee of NYC and SF can't even compare. Yesterday I was at the new Nesspresso bar in Lincoln center. A crappy kind-a-like-espresso-make-believe for 5$ plus taxes and tip. AUKM? (are you kidding me?) junk! Autogrille is Not to be missed, and lots of candy and small toys for the kids too. It was so good - I went for the 'broccoli e salsiccia' (I had this combo at another pizza place in the week, different combination but very good!). The lovely man who took our order said it would take about 20mins so we sat on the benches outside and watched a wedding that was happening at the local church! The food came out still hot from the oven and the cheese all melty and gooey! This pizza was soooo good! It was a good size portion and was comfortable full afterwards, although I did get the mandatory food coma which is always a good sign!
