Hostels are the best way to go when traveling solo. Like seriously, you get your own private room for the low! It doesn't get any better than that! Plus, you get to meet some cool ass people! Hey, that's what I'm talking about when it comes to a legit vacation!
When staying in Madrid, it was only right that I stayed in a hostel, especially since I wasn't going to be in my room the whole time. I decided to go to the Hostel Go Inn. And I am delighted that I did because not only did I get a wonderful view, but I also got to meet some really great people, everyone from the receptionist to the housekeeper.
Once I arrived at the hostel I was greeted by the lovely, young receptionist. She was so welcoming and took my bags from me right away. She gave me a tour of the map of Madrid and informed me that my room wasn't ready yet but will be soon. I stored my bags and left for the remainder of the day. I couldn't believe that when I came back to my room I was greeted with a bottle of Brut! How sweet! The ladies here are Angels and really appreciate their customers!
The hostel provides spacious single rooms with your own bathroom! It was like a spacious studio for me, I loved it! I had a great view of the downtown area with tons of shopping centers.
Located in the heart of Madrid, this place is perfect to stay in! You are smack downtown near EVERYTHING! Tons of food joints that include McDonald's, Tapa joints, KFC that is walking distance. Also, you get the pleasure of seeing the wonderful street performer's right from the beauty of your own room. The hostel is located right next door to the transportation station 'Sol' and 'Gran Via'.
The rooms are relatively clean. The housekeeper did a wonderful job cleaning my room and supplying me with clean towels every day.
I truly enjoyed my experience here and will recommend this location to everyone that visits Madrid! The location, the staff, and the clean rooms are all the reasons why this hostel should be your first choice when booking!
P.S. - There is security at the bottom of the hostel. After hours the door can only be opened with your key.
TIP FOR TRAVELERS: If you have heavy luggage get off at Callao or Sol stop. Both have elevators and a block away. Gran Via stop has a lot of stairs read more
