I was really impressed by this auto repair shop. It is rare that you find such honest, stand up people. I've used their services several times there and they will continue to get my business. read more

We went here because it was referred by a friend and while the front office staff was very nice and helpful, the automotive repair was probably the worst I have experienced in 30 years. We brought our truck in, had some repairs - one item was not done correctly so we brought it back - and then this same scenario happened again (!). The third time we came in (for the second fix) I was told the mechanic noticed another repair that should be done - when asked 'Why didn't you call us? We would have authorized the repairs.' - was then given a polite but useless answer (something to the effect of 'Well, all customers are different...'). My mechanics have always called me mid-day to provide an update on the vehicle and mention anything they noticed that needs to be done - that is pretty basic customer service. Overall my impression is that they are a very large volume shop that is no longer offering good service. They are so busy that the quality of their work is suffering - which is too bad since they seem to have had many satisfied customers in the past. I could not recommend this auto shop to anyone. read more

It's always so wonderful to find an auto shop like this that is both friendly and honest! I have an old Honda I'm trying to get as many years out of as I can. Hoshi Motors has helped me on numerous occasions to fix my car without putting me in a financial hole. They don't try to sell you things you don't need but rather work with you and what your car actually requires, often finding creative and affordable solutions. All around, I'm very pleased with all of my experiences here! read more

I don't have a Honda anymore, but if I did I would still be going to Hoshi for car maintenance. Brandon and Lori are excellent. My 1993 Accord engine was running strong at 365,000 miles But I traded it in when my transmission started fading. Mike Dwyer read more

Hoshi Motors is awesome! I needed a quick repair on my vehicle before I could head back to Moab and they got me right in and helped me out. Extremely friendly, helpful, and gracious. If I lived in Boulder, I would definitely return! Telling my Boulder friends to come here for sure! read more

I've been bringing my Honda Accord here for about 3 years now. Every time I've brought it in I'm blown away by their exemplary customer service. Taking your car to the shop is never a fun experience, but these guys get the job done, don't overcharge, and make me feel like my car is in the best hands possible. I can't give enough stars for this place - you guys are the best in the biz!!!!! read more

Plenty of well deserved 4 and 5 star ratings. Great, honest service. The really do have your best interest in mind. Do expect to wait a few days for an appt. they're often booked solid. Very worth the wait. read more

Service was friendly, super fast, and incredibly generous (they didn't charge me anything for a minor job, tightening the power steering belt, even though it probably would have cost $100 somewhere else). Go here! read more

I've been reading the great reviews and praise for Hoshi Motors - and figured they couldn't be _that_ awesome - but yes they are. I just had a clutch replaced on my 97 Rav4 - an expensive job regardless of who does it. They replaced the clutch - works great - and while they were in there they replaced the rear main seal. They also put in a set of spark plugs that I had purchased a while back - at no charge - and they gave me a short list of things I might consider getting done in the future - all reasonable items. But what really impressed me was their diagnosis/repair of a hesitation problem that I had been trying to fix for a while. They said they thought it was spark plug wires - and I kind of rolled my eyes, thinking it couldn't be the problem. Well, problem solved, and the repair bill was less than I expected it to be. Also, did I mention how nice everyone is there? I implicitly trust the folks at Hoshi to be fair and to do quality repair work. They will be getting all of my business from now on. read more

Grew up in Boulder and used to go to Independent motors for my honda repairs but their prices went up and service wasn't as good as it used to so switched to Hoshi several years ago. GREAT place! They are honest in what your car will need, not pushy, service is EXCELLENT and prices about as good as you will find. This is THE best place around to have your honda serviced! read more

They are the best ever. They know what they're doing, they're honest, and before you know it you'll think of them as friends more than mechanics. read more

We love, love, love Hoshi! Lori is like the Mother Theresa of car repair. When I need my oil changed or whatever, my heart actually does a little leap of happiness because I get to see the good men and women (and dogs) at Hoshi. read more

I went to a different place a couple blocks away when my 4Runner wouldn't pass emissions. That place could not figure out why and charged me almost $300 without fixing it. The mechanic at Hoshi took the car into the shop and it took him 20min to figure it out. They didn't charge me even after I insisted. Great place and ethics and I will go there again as well as recommend it to others. read more

every experience i have with hoshi motors is always excellent. they always go above and beyond the task at hand. i feel very well taken care of every time i go. trustworthy and knowledgeable; sadly a pair that's hard to come by for an auto joint, but thankfully offered at hoshi. read more

Everyone at Hoshi is extremely friendly, knowledgable and willing to take the time to explain anything that needs explaining. As a younger woman, I'm always worried about car repair shops taking advantage of my lack of knowledge in this area but I've always felt their prices are reasonable and their explanation is precise and to the point. I also want to say that I love Rory, Brandon and Hollis!! They're all amazing guys! read more

So happy we found hoshi motors! Our favorite service repair person moved here from Honda! Brownlow Townsend. Hoshi is so lucky to get him and we are thrilled to find him again! read more

My family has been going here since I was a little girl and now I take my car there. I wouldn't go anywhere else even though I live in Denver now. They are honest, incredibly helpful, and kind. read more

Just a quick first experience -- I showed up around opening time one morning when the brake lights on my old Honda Pilot went out. The gentleman at the counter came out to the parking lot with me, got the covers off (not so easy), and replaced the light bulbs. Total time: less than 20 minutes. Total charge: $9.60 for the bulbs. I will be back! read more

Hands down the best place to take your Honda/Accura/Suburu. Not only do these guys do a great job mechanically, the people working there are amazing. I would never take my care anywhere else. read more

Since moving here a year ago, I've been worried about finding a trustworthy mechanic to work on my 10 year old Subaru Forester. After Hoshi worked in it, I'm not worried anymore. The customer service is excellent; they called me all through the process, explaining what needed to be done and how much it would cost. Their estimate was $5 higher than the cost turned out to be. Not only did they tell me what had to be done, they told me what would likely need to be done and when, which is important with an older car. I'm so impressed with every aspect of the service. Thanks! read more

Amazing. In the 17 years I've been going to Hoshi, I've never received anything but exemplary, friendly and solid service on my two Hondas. In fact, I purchased my car based on whether Hoshi serviced that brand. Brandon has been my hero multiple times by elegantly repairing something that other shops would most likely not have bothered attempting or charged me an exorbitant price. Laurie, Phil and Brandon and everyone at Hoshi--You're the best! read more

Hoshi Motors is amazing! This is the only place I will take my car as long as I live here. I was having a really hard time with my 4WD. It was so inconsistent and it was quite hard to figure out. Hoshi Motors stuck with it and figured out what the problem was. Not only did they fix it, but they recommended the cheapest and best solution for me. I really appreciate their honesty and hard work. This is a great place to take your car! read more

I've been going to Hoshi for over 15 years now. I truly wouldn't buy a car that Hoshi doesn't service. Hard to know what happened for those posting negative reviews. My service has always been stellar. They take the time to explain things to me. They have always called me when they run into additional issues to see what I want to do about them. My car is always ready when they say it will be. They are friendly and remember me. Both my wife and I took our cars to Hoshi before we met each other, and they were genuinely happy when they found out we were dating and then got married. They ask about us and our son whenever we drop our cars off. I had a Subaru until last year and now I have a Honda. I have zero complaints and am glad to have one area of my life where I know I have experts I can trust to take care of me. read more

Everyone I've dealt with at Hoshi has been friendly and helpful and respectful. I never feel like they are trying to pull one over on me or over charge me. They are upfront and honest and take the time to explain things. I will be taking all of my car repair business to these great folks. read more

Hoshi is the best of the best. This is a business like businesses used to be (at least in our imagination of the good old days!). Like a business should be. Honest - fair - true to their word. I've had bad experiences at some of the other repair shops & will never take my Subaru anywhere but Hoshi now. Plus they sometimes have puppies, bagels, blueberries and almost certainly coffee and good conversation! read more

Hoshi Motors is a trustworthy business that understands the value of long term relationships. They're solid, professional and surprise you on the upside. They have fixed simple problems free of charge. I'm a loyal fan and customer. I've gone elsewhere and gotten treated like some dingbat because I'm a blond, talked down to and told unnecessary work at high costs needed to be done -- never again for this no-nonsense woman. I love these guys! read more

Hoshi Motors is TERRIFIC! They have saved me quite a bit of money over the 8 years that I've brought my car(s) to them (a 2002 Forester, a 1988 Subaru wagon, and a 2009 Subaru Outback). They're fast, efficient, and HONEST! They cost LESS than the SUBARU dealership in town, and I trust them to keep my car up and running. Often, if the car "check engine" light comes on, I can swing by there, they tell me what's wrong -- and they also tell me whether it's worth fixing immediately, or if I can wait a while. I came to Hoshi because my friends came here -- and it was the best decision I've made, because they're the best mechanics in town (Boulder, CO)! read more

I was told that my acura integra needed a new computer to even diagnois the proplem, Hoshi put in a used computer and did not fix the problem i brought it in for which was loss of power , then they told me my battery was bad i didnt remember i had a new battery and they over charged me they said the battery was bad from the car sitting to long, i thought they were to fix the original problem so requested they raise the car that had been lowered they did and kept more than 600 dollars of new spring, control arms and shocks and did not give me a discount . This is the best repair and service shop in town or for many miles for Honda, Suby, Toyota and Acuras. I've been going there on and off for over 30 years with newer and older vehicles. They are fair, honest, and caring individuals. read more

I was having multiple minor issues with my 2005 Honda Odyssey: headlight bulb out, wiper fluid leaking, seat belt button (that holds the buckle up) gone, and oil indicator not working properly. The reviews on Yelp were so glowing that I had to give this place a try. To make a long story short, they were able to take me as a drop-in, took care of all the issues, and I paid a total of $5.00. Granted, I brought my own lamp replacement (just couldn't figure out how to swap it myself despite YouTube tutorial), the wiper fluid issue was just the hose and they were able to trim and re-attach, and the seat belt button is what cost $5.00, but this level of service and a repair shop not trying to nickel and dime their customers is a rare find indeed. I left feeling euphoric (seriously). I will now be a loyal customer for as long as I own a car that they are willing to repair. Thank you, Hoshi Motors! read more

I brought my Acura Integra in for an Engine Light issue. After the 7th attempt to replace parts they finally found the issue....wires curroding. thinking that this was it, driving home I had no speedometer. The next day, my car's power seemed to completely die, needing a tow and a rental. The mechanic totally forgot to hook wires up (like the alternator) and several fuzes blew. I was promised a new battery since I ran it out, later to find out they did not replace it. In a week, my car was dead. so now I have a used battery they put in and at this point (visit #8) I doubt if I plan on returning. My battery was only 2.5 years old, I replaced it myself, but the mechanic seemed to think I was stupid (being a women of course) and said my battery was on it's last leg. No, I know I put a good quality battery in, at least a 5-6 year. I am sure that most people have good luck with Hoshi, it just seemed that my situation was a complete disaster. Maybe they need to get rid of that mechanic!!! He will NEVER touch my car again. read more

1984 Civic Dx 1.5 to have the carburetor diagnosed or fixed. They put me on the schedule for Tuesday. They couldn't fix my car is what they told me. They could have easily told me that without popping the hood and charging me for an hour of labor. Parts not avail. .too old of car . read more

I can't say enough good things about Hoshi. If you have a Honda, Toyota, Acura or Subaru don't hesitate to make this your go-to garage. They are so honest, so knowledgeable and so helpful. I've been taking my '95 Acura Integra here since 2007 when Lori owned it and have thanked my lucky stars so many times that they exist. They are always up front about what my car actually needs and when it needs it, and what it doesn't need. Most recently I was (over)due for a timing belt/water pump replacement. They completed the service and took care of a couple of other niggling issues that had been bothering me. Now she's purring like a kitten and running better and more reliably than you'd ever expect a 21-year old car to run. I also have several friends who depend on Hoshi and they have also always received the utmost care and honesty there. Thank you Brandon, Brown and the rest of you wonderful folks at Hoshi!! read more
