The birthday girl got to choose her sculpture ahead of time (a dragon) and then she brought a variety of other sculptures (penguins, hedgehogs, shark piggy bank, owl piggybank, pegasus, flower purse and others). The birthday girl also got to use the pottery wheel which resulted in much hilarity! The girls had a great time and it was so neat to see their different interpretations of the same sculptures! I definitely recommend booking them for a party. They have many different age options from preschoolers to adult parties.

I was really surprised to find out later that they actually had a birthday party on that night. I would totally understand if she would be honest with me and asked me to reschedule my reservation but I don't appreciate to be lied to. Especially that I tried to help them by promoting their event on my son's school Facebook page. Very disappointed by business ethics of the owner. Will not recommend since you never know if they decide to bump you for some reason.

Some things you should know before you book your kids for a day camp:…read more -they watch a movie (or part of a movie) during lunch break. -the website talks about all the exciting and expensive mediums they may use (ceramics, glass, canvas etc...). Depending on the day you go, your kids may just use things like sketching (in their own, brought-from-home sketch books) in watercolours and acrylics or painting rocks etc.. If you go on a day that they use these cheaper and more accessible materials you may feel like you didn't get good value for money. -on the day my kids went, numbers were low and there was just one staff member present (which is fine). However, that staff member then had to divide her time between the kids and answering the phones and doing her office work (!). -the rocks the kids painted were picked up (stolen?) from the shopping area close by. I don't like to encourage my kids to take landscaping rocks that belong to other businesses. Overall, the camp is fine - good even. But you will want to go in knowing these things. Also, they spend time outdoors playing (which is excellent for health and I fully support this - but it is also a very cheap way for a business owner to fill camp time). As others have mentioned in other online reviews, the owner is very proud of her experience at Glenbow, her art training, and her connections to elite Calgary schools. Customer service may not be her strongest suit. Some time ago, I booked a mother-daughter art date and the studio was closed even thought we had a booking. Went to Colour Me Mine at Aspen as a last minute alternative and had a great time. I like to support local businesses but I'm wondering if they may need to tweak a few things if they want to be successful in this community.

We are so relieved they didn't have enough registrants that they had to cancel the fourth day of camp we originally had our child registered for! Staff told me that lunch was included for day camp, it wasn't - I don't mind - I actually thought it was obscure they would tell me this. Coaches are poorly trained in general - very unsafe with the kids- they don't notice when kids push or trample on others in competitive games and as a result - children are injured, my child had to notify the coach she was hurt - and no phone call to parents to inform them of said injuries! The coaches are also unwilling to help children who don't have any gymnastics experience, telling children to "figure it out for themselves" Clearly the employees are miserable at their job just based on their grumpy facial expressions, no smiles upon arrival during check in, the responses they give children and their lack of regard overall The owner and staff accused my child of lying about their experiences at the camp It's pretty obvious the owner has received negative feedback on her establishment previously because she relies heavily on "footage from her security camera" to back her story up and prefers to blame the children and call them liars as opposed to just supporting children, accepting honest feedback and resolving the problem. Why would and how could a child make up these stories of how they were treated or injured themselves? Why would she deliberately hurt herself? Additionally- no air conditioning- so the children are doing physical activity all day indoors during an August heatwave. Equipment needs upgrading, facility is dilapidated and outdated, it's a garage with mats, cluttered and disorganized, looks unprofessional No signage whatsoever, so we couldn't find the entrance to the building because they had their front door propped open (which is the only place they have a small sign lol) I don't recommend this place to anyone, in fact I strongly recommend avoiding it! Please don't waste your money - and save yourself the headache so that you don't have to deal with the owner or staff- it was absolutely mind numbing - several minutes of my life I'll never get back but most importantly my child got injured and didn't have a good time

The staff was wonderful to work with, the transaction was super smooth, and communication was great. When the goats came, Farmer Ethan was quick to set up and gave us all plenty of time to pet the goats and play in the pen with them. At the end, he let the birthday girl bottle-feed the baby goat and gave her a birthday gift (a cute, branded hat) which was not expected at all. 10/10 would recommend.

Back in the spring I did a painting class here where they gave us a piece of plywood board and a stencil that said spring has sprung and we got to paint it and decorate it with anything- it was great! Then just recently Pinnovate celebrated their first birthday party. At their birthday their was complimentary goodies from cobs bakery, complimentary ice cream or gelato from Fiasco gelato, pizza from coco brooks and coffee from rosso coffee roasters. They also were making balloon animals. We could visit and tour the store and paint complimentary cards with water colors. It was great!

I contacted Mandy in May 2020 after my BBF Gus, a Maine Coon passed away. it took me 10 months to…read moreactually send her his cremains for a memorial ord/sphere. It took less than 10 days from the time I shipped the cremains to the time I had the completed piece returned. She helped me pick the colours, Green for his eyes and brown for his fur. she sent me a photo before she shipped it blue photos can not capture the beauty of her work. I wish I could afford to turn all his remains into glasswork and I might get more pieces in the future as I am extremely happy with what she created. She is very talented and I think this is an amazing way to hold on to a bit of a loved one in a subtle and personal way.

Our family had a lovely horse drawn sleigh ride experience in Alberta here near Kananaskis outside…read morethe Banff area. The ride is about 30 minutes but went by quickly - we were given two blankets each one to sit on to stay warm and a second to cover us up. You can for easily 4 adults across in a row (maybe 6 rows?) - very charming and peaceful ride into the snowy woods! When we returned we had hot coffee and hot chocolates waiting for us! Definitely a must for any families or couples!

Came here for a 2 hour trail ride with my family. It was one of my favorite activities while…read morevisiting Canada for the holiday. We were a party of 4 and went with another group of two. They assigned us to our horses and gave us instructions on how to direct our horses and hold the reigns. I'm a first time horse rider and was nervous, but once we started I got more comfortable and enjoyed it! The trail was a little muddy and goes up and down hills but it's amazing to see what these horses can do. The views were breathtaking and the weather was perfect. Chloe, our leader on the ride, was great. I appreciated that she made sure to have us stop for photos. I would definitely come back. Your butt might be sore afterwards :)
