Cobbs Adventure Park in Calgary AB was definitely a great and fun place to visit !!! It is a mix of zoo, activities, games and rides for the kids and family, a little restaurant and sweets stand :) The zoo is a bit of an animal farm with two capybaras, kangaroos and wallabies, sheep, goats, pigs, porcupines, emus, chickens / roosters and a turkey, and a sloth. Part of the experience is that, with the purchase of tickets, you can go into the capybara enclosure and meet the capys, feed and pet them. We are big fans of capybaras, we saw them in person at the Edmonton zoo, and follow many accounts on Instagram, but this was our first time meeting and petting them. They are super relaxed and super friendly. We had the opportunity to feed them fruits and greens, which was so funny!! We then visited the kangaroos and wallabies. Both were friendly, soft and used to humans. We visited with them, and fed them foods. We visited and interacted with the sheep and alpacas, which were also nice to see and pet. The staff of the park were very friendly and professional, and answered any questions visitors would have about animals. The ambiance was very nice - visiting with the animals, having a snack or busy with the games, it was a great day to enjoy the outdoors and animals!! read more

My husband and I were VERY impressed with Cobb's. He & I called ahead to make sure that their activities were also suitable for adults because we don't have kids. I personally LOVE animals, so the Kangaroo & Wallaby petting zoo was what I was most interested in. My husband wanted to do the mini golf & ace throwing. We were worried that there wouldn't be enough activities for adults to make it worth our while, but it DEFINITELY was!!! I honestly spent like 2 of the hours with the animals. I just had SO much fun and I really appreciated that the staff were knowledgeable about the animals. We have gone to *other* petting zoo's and they treat adults without kids like you shouldn't be there... like it's weird that you enjoy spending time with animals. At Cobb's, I actually felt VERY welcomed. Overall, we ended up LOVING the axe throwing & archery as well (even though the archery is kid-themed, it still was REALLY cool to experience).The mini donuts were perfect btw, and my husband enjoyed his float. Lastly, the maze actually is suited for people of all ages. They had really witty, funny clue-signs in the maze with a whole storyline. We definitely loved it and we wanted to buy the season pass since this year it'll be good for 2021 too, but the front admission area was closed when we were leaving. Surprisingly I have not yet been out here in the Fall which is when I know most people come out to visit. We came to visit over the Canada Day long weekend to see the Roo's. They also had free fudge on offering for the long weekend. Definitely kid centric so we just visited the Roo's then went on with our day. Would be nice to come back in the Fall, do the corn maze and pick out some pumpkins. read more

Sadly the staff seem uninterested in healthy eating habits - there are no nutrition charts listed for any of the livestock (kangaroos, etc.) and when I asked the staff how many calories a typical kangaroo or wallaby has, they didn't bother to answer me. The do-it-yourself corn bar was well stocked, but there was no place to boil water and staff didn't have any butter on hand. The price is steep for what you get, and the amenities are sub-par. The corn maze is a joke unless you're under 3ft tall. The bouncy castles and the trampoline back-flip areas were kinda fun but certainly not enough to justify the price of admission. And the other activities seemed to fall flat too. My mother got tickets through a Groupon deal which made the price seem a bit more acceptable but still steep. Overall my son (age 5 at the time) had fun but we will not be returning next year. Overall I'd say it was a one time experience and that I was surprised at how many people I saw paying full price. I'd advise on finding a real corn maze if that's something you think you'd like. read more

This place has gotten so great! Last year was their first ever season and you could tell they were trying to figure out how it needed to be run, but this year they know what they are doing! They added an awesome giant slide that I went down over and over racing my husband, and this great "gemstone mining" activity where you pan through dirt to find gems and things. So cool. They also have some amazing fudge in all sorts of crazy flavours. Maple bacon and peanut butter and jelly were the best! I tell everyone to go check it out! Even if Calgary weather makes it hard to get corn growing tall in time for opening, there is so much else to do you won't even care! read more

This review is mostly for the flashlight maze nights. The corn maze after dark with the lights out is a very fun almost halloweenish thing. Scaring the crap out of your friends in a creepy angry birds themed cornfield sounds like a great night to me. Depending the price you pay there are a bunch of other activities to do besides the maze. Climbing walls/towers, haybale slide, trampolines... I would do again, possibly on the zombie infestation weekend! read more

I love this place. Will definitely be going a few times this season. I am surprised by something new every time I go. At first I thought it was just for kids but there are so many activities for other ages too - eurobungy, popcorn popper, archery tag, giant hamster balls, mazes and puzzles. My favourite is the eurobungy. The staff is so helpful coaching through flips and higher jumps. I can now do a back flip; will master the front flip one day. Also, this is the best fudge I have ever had- I have probably sampled 20 flavours so far. read more

We recently held a team-building event at Cobbs and it was a great success. The staff were very attentive, the food was surprisingly good and there were lots of fun things to do. We kind of expected that it would just be kid friendly activities, but even as a group of adults, we managed to have a lot of fun. It would have been great to have been able to try out the corn maze, but it was not ready yet. Maybe next time. read more

This place is not good value for money. You either pay the base rate, which covers some activities but then have to pay $5 each for every single additional activity (some of which are DEFINITELY not worth $5), or an all-inclusive rate that rivals the cost of Calaway Park, where there is WAY more to do. The place is kind of run down. The pieces of burlap used for the slide are completely trashed, the wooden platform on which the bouncy houses sit is in horrible shape (one of my nieces left with a splinter in her foot since you are barefoot in the bouncy houses), etc. Go to the Calgary Corn maze instead, where almost everything is included. read more

Thank goodness for having a Groupon as I don't think we would have given this a higher rating had we paid full price. Most of the "good" activities required "kernels" which is Cobb's version of activity tickets. Again, glad that these activities were free yesterday. Even though the kernels were reasonably priced (50 for $20) I don't believe these activities warranted an additional cost over and above the gate admission. Overall the activities were good. My daughters enjoyed themselves which is what really matters. The place has potential but needs some stronger management and staff training and pride of ownership. Brady was very helpful and friendly but everyone else seemed lost and disinterested. (And no, I am not related to Brady). Even though the place just opened last Thursday, why was the grass under the picnic tables 18" tall? No time to mow the grass in July? It's not like it's been raining all month and you couldn't get the mowers out there. While standing in line for 30 minutes to buy drinks (yes, 30 minutes to buy a pop!) someone ran up to the window begging for some water to help a attend to a child who was bleeding quite badly. After getting the run around, this lady was offered a bottle of water - for a dollar! From what I could see, no staff were bothered to help attend to this accident scene nor offer to refund this lady her loonie. As per the drinks...how can you be out of so many varieties of drinks. You just opened three days ago and it certainly wasn't busy! How about talking to Pepsi or Coke and getting some vending machines installed? We didn't bother ordering food as it was taking 20 minutes to deliver. Not going to wait another 20 minutes after waiting 30 minutes to order. I did go into the candy shop to buy some chips. It was frustrating to try and buy these even though I was the only customer. Finally I asked the three staff persons behind the counter to stop worrying about who was going on break next and to ring my order through. Speaking of rain...the actual corn mazes were so sad. Again, lots of potential but with no rain the corn stalks are dying a slow death. The "hamster wheel on water" is a very slow activity as loading and unloading is very tedious. Only one person trained to drive the tractor for the hay ride? Waited in line for this activity and when the hay wagon returned, the driver went on break. I hope that Management/Ownership reads this review with an open mind. Lots of great activities for the family, lots of space, well laid out but more attention to customer service and detail is required. Would we go back in it's current state of operations? Not a great a experience. On the website is advertises that the maze is open an hour after close to allow time for people to make their way through the maze. When I got there it turns out this is not true and I was informed that I had half an hour to make my way through the maze. I asked the till person for an approximate time it takes to get through the maze. For the life of me I couldn't get them to give me a straight answer. The till person went on to explain all the cool activities that were in the maze. After reading another review on yelp I found the activities cost extra. They made no mention of it while they were prattling on about them for 5 min. The till person obviously did not want my business. Which is shame because I was so excited to go. Their complete lack of not wanting to be helpful has ensured that I will not be trying to go back a different day. read more

I don't even want to give this place 1 star! It's just a big gravel and dirt pit really. The maze is a joke of weeds and very short corn stalks. Price is steep for what u got! Everything else seems to cost extra. Seriously don't waste your time and money. read more

Totally awful, wasted $12.50 and left after 5 min. Even the free caramel popcorn was disgusting. The corn was no taller than waste high and sparse. How can I get lost when I can see over the corn and see the all the trails ahead of time? I wish I had read the reviews before going all the way there from the south part of town!! read more

I just wanted to bring something to the attention of management/owners. Yesterday we visited your farm and my 6 year old son went on the Waterz ball ride. It was fun until the end when the 2 girls brought him off the pool of water and dropped him onto the hard ground. He was laying inside the ball so his head hit the ground really hard. He was hurt quite badly, and it ruined the experience. I wanted to suggest that you either have them lower the ball down gently, instructing people to sit up, or better yet do that and have a soft mat for people to land on. They shouldn't be dropping kids down on the hard ground. read more

Very disappointing!!! The place itself is ok except that the corn maze is 3 feet tall. $50 for a family of 4 to get in and then once you are in you have to pay extra to do anything decent. Big time rip off!!!! Hopefully the owner catches on that his pricing is out to lunch before he goes out of business. Calgary needs places like this to take kids read more

I had my son's b-day party here. It was great. The staff took great care of our group. They put together a great (and reasonably priced) package for us that included games, food and treats. We visited the three little pigs and the kids had a lot of fun in the multiple bouncy houses. It was super easy to find - just off 16 Ave. I would highly recommend this for an event or just a fun afternoon. read more

I visited Cobbs in the summer of 2014 and absolutely loved it. I can't wait for it to open this season. There is so much to do there and at a very reasonable priced. It makes for a great day for the whole family & I would recommend it to everyone & anyone! read more
