I booked about a week in advance and Rose checked in multiple times over the phone/email to make sure we were still good on dates/times and if we had any questions at all that we forgot to ask. She even went as far as sending us pictures of where to park our cars since we don't live in the area and there can be spotty phone service near where the ranch is. Rose literally couldn't have been more helpful! Genevieve was our guide/instructor for the day and was just as above and beyond spectacular. Just like Rose, she was incredibly helpful and informative right from the jump, and even asked my fiancé if she had any preferences on what horse she wanted to ride since it was her birthday! Despite all of this, two other riders that were supposed to be riding with us were giving Genevieve a really hard time about wearing a helmet for the duration of the ride (among other obnoxious remarks). These people were incredibly rude, and had the audacity to act this way even though they showed up late to the ranch for the ride which held the group up. Genevieve handled this interaction as smoothly and professionally as anyone possibly could, and repeatedly went out of her way to apologize to my fiancé and I for any inconvenience that these people caused even though it wasn't her fault at all. Despite all of that, Genevieve remained super sweet, helpful, and informative throughout the entire duration of our ride. She even found some extra time for us at the end of the typical trail and took a whole bunch of awesome pictures for us where there was a really great view. Overall, Genevieve, Rose, and the horses gave my fiancé an absolutely amazing birthday. We had such an amazing time and will definitely be back! Thank you very much!

I quite literally have zero experience with horses outside of riding at summer camp as a kid, but was curious about picking things up as an adult in my early 30s. Four months in, I can't get enough. What's special about HH compared to other barns or ranches is that you truly learn to care before the horse and even more importantly respect it before you even get the chance to get on. From grooming, to tacking, to learning the most basics of basics, they make sure you aren't just riding but are learning true horsemanship. What makes HH so approachable compared to other places I've ridden is hands down the instructors, especially Isabella and Laurel. Their hands on guidance and expertise has given me such confidence despite having no experience prior to this. If it weren't for the two of them, I don't know where I'd be in my riding journey. I've gone from being (admittedly) nervous at the start, to now trotting and caring for the horses with confidence thanks to them! Overall it was a really interesting and memorable experience, especially because of the beautiful nature and the whole atmosphere. The only downsides for me were the trails themselves in some areas they were very narrow, which made me a little nervous at times. Sometimes the horses were walking very close to bushes and plants, and my legs were getting scratched a bit, which was uncomfortable. Also, my saddle was attached unevenly, so I was sitting in a pretty awkward position for more than half of the ride. Eventually the instructor noticed it and explained how to adjust it properly, which definitely helped, but I do wish it had been checked earlier. Other than that though, it was still a very unique experience and I'm glad we did it

I often see plenty of wildlife including birds, coyotes, and deer. Definitely go during cooler temps, and not over the hot summer months. Trudy is also super helpful and nice, and very responsive whenever I need anything. AVOID BREEZY MEADOWS!…read more Like Jeff C. and several of the filtered reviews, I had a horrible experience with Breezy Meadows. I brought my horse over on Friday, February 2nd, 2024. I started having problems by the second day in. They barely put any shavings in the stalls... not even enough to soak up the urine or to cover the floor. They only sprinkle in a little bit of fresh shavings every 3-4 days, which is unsanitary. I spoke with Brittany Burzynski several times requesting extra shavings. I wanted thick and cushy shavings in the stall. She told me it would be an extra $80. I confirmed that I would pay this. There were still no shavings in the stall after a week and multiple conversations about this problem. My horse was standing in urine!!! So I was in a rush to find another facility for my baby. Luckily, I found an amazing barn that was able to squeeze her in in a rush, since the conditions were really bad where she was currently at. I moved her out on the 16th (Exactly 2 weeks from when she was brought to Breezy.) I gave my 30 days notice and paid the additional two weeks in March, which was required when I gave my 30 day notice, and I ate the 2 additional weeks in February. I just wanted her out of there. While moving her out, Tyler Burzynski was extremely aggressive. He handed me my contract after I told him I already have a copy. Then he started yelling at me and recording me with his phone telling me that this is his property and I need to leave. Which I was in the process of doing since I was getting in my car with all of my things before he started making a scene. I asked him why he's recording me because he's the one causing a scene in front of all of his customers, and he proceeded to yell at me. So I got my car and left. He recorded me driving down the street which is completely stupid he was the one causing a problem. Also, paid an additional $100 for Orchard hay since they only feed alfalfa. I asked for the additional hay that I paid for when I was leaving, because I paid for a month of hay, and I was only there for for two weeks. Tyler got in my face and said that I'm not getting my hay and then I need to leave his property (which they rent from the owner of the house.) This complete BS since I paid for it. Tyler took it upon himself to block the entrance to the stable with his truck and trailer, so that we had to bring my horse into the street to load her. They really do not care about the safety of the horses. On another note, Brittney Burzynski advised me for the first month at the barn to start with half training to ease my Mare in. I agreed to this. Half training is $450 for three days of training per week. Full training is $700 for five days of training per week. After I gave my notice, I was told that she LUNGED her 3 times... and since I never signed a training contract which I was never told to sign, I need to pay her for lessons at $65 an hour ($195) The ONLY reason I paid this is because I was trying to get get my horse out safely, without having any problems. Welp, that didn't happen. AVOID BREEZY MEADOWS!!! My friend Maddie and I volunteered at Connemara Ranch for the past two weeks, and it was one of the…read moremost meaningful and eye opening experiences I have ever had. Talley was incredibly flexible and met us where we were with our horse experience while sharing her wisdom and deep knowledge of equine therapy, something she helped pioneer in Malibu. Every horse at the ranch has such a unique personality and is so clearly loved, cared for, and well trained. Over the two weeks we rode every day, painted and washed the horses, practiced equine therapy activities, and built such special connections with all six horses. Talley made us feel so comfortable from the start and became not only an amazing instructor and teacher, but also a true friend. Every ride was beautiful and completely unique, and I am so grateful for everything we learned about horses, equine therapy, and ourselves during our time at the ranch.
