If you're in Barcelona and love bakeries, Forn Puiggròs is an absolute must…read more Their pastries are perfection, the mini croissants rellenos de crema pastelera are my weakness. They're light, buttery, and filled with just the right amount of cream, truly irresistible. And if you're a chocolate lover, their chocolate version is equally divine (you might just need to get both, trust me). But my absolute favorite treat here is the pan dulce con manzana. The buttery layers, the delicate apple slices caramelized just right, and the subtle sweetness make it the perfect pastry. Pair it with a strong espresso and you've got the ideal way to start your morning in Barcelona. The best part? You don't have to stop at breakfast. I always recommend grabbing one of their fresh bocadillos en pan casero to enjoy later in the day, or picking up one of their panes artesanos to savor at home, simple, rustic, and delicious even on their own. Forn Puiggròs isn't just a bakery, it's a ritual. Go in the morning, enjoy something sweet with your coffee, and leave with bread that will make the rest of your day even better.

I wish the format were a little bigger or the chain went bolder with some of the shelf space to stretch its baking muscles.

Incredible, incredible, incredible! Try the one with mascarpone cream. After one bite, I wished I had gotten a dozen just for myself (which would have been too much, but they're that good). There's other traditional Italian goodies here, such as different types of focaccias, cornettos, etc. Rafael was very helpful and sweet here. Great customer service even though this place was packed when I went. Next time I'm in Barcelona again, I'd be here for sure!

We opted for the mushroom and brie which was on more of a fluffy focaccia bread, and and onion and sausage focaccia. They heat them both up for you in the microwave on site so the cheese is a little melty. Both were amazing (and greasy - as it should be - so grab napkins!).
