I had an awful experience with the receptionist at this office named Kayum. She spoke to me in an…read moreextremely rude and unprofessional way, even mocking me while I was on the phone. At one point, she told me that I'm "not as important as I think I am." I was shocked by how disrespectful and condescending she was. What's worse is that she completely prevents patients from being able to speak with the doctor, acting as a barrier instead of offering help. When I asked multiple times to speak with the doctor, she told me I wouldn't be speaking to him and that she didn't care. No patient should ever be treated like that. I would never want to give my business to someone who speaks to patients this way, and I absolutely do not recommend this office to anyone. I've since read other reviews that mention similar experiences--patients being banned for missed appointments and staff being unprofessional. It's concerning that Dr. Freeman allows this type of behavior to continue. Her erratic reaction only escalated after I said I would let the doctor know how rude she was. She told me again I couldn't speak to him unless I had an appointment. It honestly feels like the doctor may not even be aware of how she's treating patients. I truly hope the office addresses this issue and that Kayum gets the help and accountability she needs. I doubt I'll hear from the doctor personally, but I hope this review helps others be aware before scheduling.

I was recommended this place because I was told this facility understands firefighters, first…read moreresponders, and people that serve in the military. This establishment has provided me with the most unsatisfactory experience I have encountered in seeking their assistance. From the outset, I have encountered multiple challenges in attempting to schedule an appointment through their website. At the time, I did not have insurance coverage, which prevented me from completing the scheduling form. Furthermore, attempting to contact someone via phone was extremely infrequent, as no one would ever answer the phone or return my calls in any manner. Today, I was informed that I had been banned from the facility due to missing the new patient screening twice (as indicated on their website, this constitutes three offenses). Despite my persistent efforts to contact them, they denied any responsibility for the issues with their website or their failure to respond to customer inquiries after multiple calls. Given the potential for various technical or communication challenges, particularly for individuals with diverse abilities, it is concerning that they have adopted a strict and unforgiving policy that does not provide prospective patients with an opportunity to demonstrate their suitability for their services. Their failure to communicate effectively or answer phone calls when individuals have questions raises serious concerns. Additionally, their policy of denying benefits of the doubt to prospective patients without considering legitimate reasons for missed appointments undermines their professionalism and demonstrates a lack of empathy and understanding towards others. This behavior raises questions about the overall professionalism of the practice, especially when men's mental and physical health are their primary focus. It is disheartening to witness such a disregard for the well-being of individuals seeking care. Initially, I visited this establishment as a firefighter, having been recommended by a colleague. Regrettably, if you are deployed or experience an extended shift, this location may not provide the necessary assistance. At least have the professional courtesy to write someone "hey we banned you for this reason," call, leave a message. Some people have to drive very far to this location. And you wait until they walk in the door and register them on your tablet.

I went in with classic symptoms of pernicious anemia (severe ataxia, neuropathy in legs, hands, feet; brain fog,) and was told, literally and quote, "This is not a medical problem" because it was totally ignorant of the fact that when someone is supplementing B12 but NOT absorbing it, it will show up in the serum, with a false high B12 "result." I eventually tested intrinsic factor antibodies myself (independent lab test) and found out they were high. High intrinsic factor antibodies result is diagnostic for pernicious anemia. I now have permanent neurological damage from lack of treatment. I now inject B12, which is what the condition requires. So -- if you have a condition that can't be fixed with supplements, don't go here.

I've been coming here since last year since ive been trying to find a doctor and treatment that…read moreworks well for what I've been dealing with. Man it's been a ride of a lifetime. Between my old doctor and the new doctor. I eventually got dropped by the old doctor as they said not so nice things and false accusations. I eventually switched here to fully get the treatment and pursue TMS. Zeke was super helpful for the last 5-6 months to finally when it got approved because UHC is trash. Basing it off false information. I had to eventually file three complaints against the insurance company to get them to get this approved talked to their doctor and now since ive been doing treatment and im finally on the right appropriate dose for the other things I've been dealing with I just feel like it's much better end enjoyable in life than it used to be. I am just really glad Zeke helped advocate for me and of course I had to push it up further to get things done because they clearly (UHC) was not reading my documents. It's nice to have a doctor and office that has really helped me through this process and to be able to have a doctor that listens as well. The prior one who i used to go to would just never give it enough time for things to work and I am very sensitive to medicines and im very self aware of what I need due to not being my first rodeo and not blindly trusting as that lead to me being sicker and hospitalized. So far not been hospitalized from my time here as they have listened and been there through the process. Im just glad im finally being listened to and given the support I need to manage everything.

My initial experience with Desert Sage Behavioral Health was very positive 2022-2025. Sadly since…read moreNovember 2025 my experience has been an ongoing nightmare due to ignorant office staff, clear lack of communication, an unwillingness for anyone there to take any responsibility for the errors they make. The lack of integrity in admitting errors on their part goes on and on. I do have documentation in the form of emails, voicemails, etc. I can validate everything Im saying in this review. In Nov. 2025 was told by Desert Sage that my insurance would no longer be accepted as of Dec 31st 2025. I rushed to find a new provider and had my primary physician bridge my prescriptions. I was told by Desert Sage in January 2026 that this did not apply to my insurance plan and services could continue A few months later I was told I have to get a referral from my primary physician in order for desert sage to be paid by my insurance provider. I saw my primary and got the referral. I call desert sage to make sure they received it and I'm told the referral is not required for my plan. It was never used. In May 2025 my insurance changed, I emailed them my new insurance card and I confirmed they received it. I made sure ahead of time their clinicians were covered by my plan. In August 2026 I was called by office staff stating that my insurance expired in May 2026 and I have a several thousand dollar balance, no services until its paid. Why are they using my old insurance card? I gave them my new one and they received it. I emailed my new insurance card a 2nd time. Later in August I receive a bill for 300 and pay 150. Cant afford 3 months of copays on one months pay. If they billed correctly this wouldn't have happened. My appointment in early September 2026 was cancelled by Desert Sage. When I called I was told my insurance expired in May 2026, that I have a several thousand dollar balance and cant resume services until its paid. Seriously, second time threatening me with ultimatums of service interruption if I don't pay a bill that I don't owe. 3 times sending them my insurance card and three times they verified they got it. WHAT?? Why are they still using my old insurance card? It a losing a battle trying to fight the witless. I fully complied all along with all the requests they made. To find they were all made in error. I finally broke down and had to accept I need to go to a different provider. Desert Sage isn't up for accuracy, truth or professional integrity. The ongoing errors, threats of care interruption, avoidance of responsibility, and lack of professionalism are having a negative impact on my mental health. That's a very bad situation considering they are supposed to be a behavioral health provider. When I point out the errors and mistakes by them that have lead to these issues they refuse to acknowledge them or answer for them and they treat you like you are the problem. Desert Sage needs to do some real work on their part to find where these issues stem from. They need to hire some professional adults to fix the issues that exist with their administrative staff. No patient should be blamed for the problems that result from the errors of their staff or failures in documentation. No patient should be treated badly or threatened to have their services discontinued because of errors by the providers staff. Clearly there is a very bad lack of communication or they employ staff that doesn't care or know enough. These are bad practices for a medical providers office to have. The clinicians are good. I hope that they come to realize that their administrative staff isn't up to the responsibilities required to successfully run their office. Never once did anyone from their office ever say, "sorry, we made a mistake", or "sorry for the inconvenience". That is probably the worst part of it. Based on what I have seen, they will insult you and threaten you before they will admit to their own errors or apologize for them. Nobody needs that kind of treatment.

I can honestly say that working with Rosie was a huge turning point in my life. When I first came…read moreto her, I was really skeptical about therapy. I had never seen a therapist, and I didn't believe it could make that big of a difference. We hit it off immediately. I felt so comfortable with her and I relaxed into our sessions quite quickly- actually to the point of really looking forward to and being excited about going to see her. She is an incredibly kind, understanding, warm person with so much to offer. I could definitely tell that she was customizing my sessions based on my needs and she was so flexible in terms of catering to what she thought would help me the most. Our time together really just felt like conversations, and she has a way of saying things that makes therapy seem so relaxing and safe. Her style makes ideas click in my head, and her use of visualizations and metaphors worked so well for me. During every single one of our sessions, I felt like she was just helping me learn to help myself. I never felt like I was the "client" and she was the "therapist", but she was just a regular person who was on my side and had my very best interests in mind. She helped me see how truly valuable therapy can be, and now I think that everyone should try it at some point in their lives- no matter what they are going through or what stage of life they are in. The skills she's given me have already helped me more than I ever imagined they could, and they will continue to help me and allow me to grow for the rest of my life. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone seeking help. I can't say enough positive things about Rosie, and I'm so very thankful that I had the opportunity to work with her. I couldn't have asked for a better experience, and I plan to keep in touch with her for years to come. -AB
