Watsons Bay definitely qualifies as one of the most stunning places in Sydney. From the end of the peninsula you have the harbor and the beautiful city skyline to the left. And to the right, you've got the overwhelming vastness of the Pacific Ocean, with no land in sight. Right at the end of Watsons Bay is the Hornby Lighthouse, one of the first to be constructed in all of Australia. To get here, I recommend taking the ferry from Circular Quay to Watsons Bay wharf. It's about a 20-minute ride through the harbor (around $5 one-way). Once the boat docks at the wharf, it's only about a 15-minute walk to get up to the lighthouse. First, you have to get to Camp Cove beach. On the right end of the beach, there is a path that hugs the cliffs all the way to the lighthouse. It's a very picturesque walk up hill to the end of the bay, where panoramic vistas mark the end of the continent. Warning: the Lady Bay Beach is right along the path you may run into some nudists along the way to the lighthouse. read more
