Not the best choice of gym in the local area. The staff are friendly enough but the gym is quite small with dated equipment, they also don't have a pool or a studio for classes. the monthly fee is 'fairly' competitive but for only a small amount more you can get more for your money at other venues in the local area. On visiting the golf centre a few weeks back I noticed there were spin bike classes actualy in the gym which a friend of mine told me is 'very loud indeed' The location itself is pleasant but I won't be switching gyms. read more

This is a small gym located in the Hoebridge Golf Centre and offers good value membership without the frills associated with some of the major Gym chains. It has all the types of exercise equipment you would expect to find in a bigger setup, just less of them so at peak times there is occasionally a wait to get on the machine you want. Having said that they aren't oversubscribed so even at peak times they don't get too busy. They have two separate sections with the downstairs dedicated to cardio work and upstairs houses the weights room both of which are more than adequate for the vast majority of gym users. If your thinking of changing your membership and want to save a bit of money then give them a try. read more

Horizones has changed a great deal since the above 2 reviews were written. They now run a selection of classes in the suite upstairs, from spin biking and abs, to Body Attack and Body Pump to name just a few. The staff are fully trained and very friendly and supportive in what you are trying to achieve and give good advice. They have gradually brought in new equipment, although some of the older equipment remains, and they have tried very hard to make maximum use of the space which they have. I have found their prices are on the cheaper end and are good value for money. I pay annually and get further reductions and perks than someone who pays monthly. There is good car parking, and a bar and restaurant in the club house for customers use. If you are looking for a nice friendly gym that isn't impersonal or pricey in the Woking/Guildford area, I would say to give this one a try. I have been a regular customer at Horizones since 2004 and will continue to give them my custom. read more
