Brides & Grooms beware! Think long and hard before hiring this company. At first MJC seemed…read moregreat. But if it seems too good to be true, it probably is. After researching several mobile bartenders, we hired MJC because they had reasonable pricing, said they would provide ice and all mixers. We were told (and I have email proof) that our event would require 2 bartenders per "their policy." We were 100% fine with this and signed a contract wherein the very first line stated, "2 bartenders." We were afforded one 30-minute phone call with MJC, during which they mentioned one bartender. After a follow-up email (which I can provide) we were asked "why are you questioning me" on only having one bartender. From there, the relationship seemed to falter. MJC had verbally stated they would serve our non-mixed drinks (wine, beer) and provide ice. On a subsequent text we were told additional ice would be limited availability and cost more. Then we were told we would need to buy our own ginger beer, which is NOT alcohol and indeed a mixer, despite a signed contract (and multiple payments) saying MJC would provide mixers. On one attempt to discuss our event we were told "I only have a few minutes to speak with you as I have many other clients." But the straw that broke the camel's back came when MJC refused to take a phone call from the bride unless she would PAY MJC additional money. (Again, have the text message to prove this.) This was 13 days prior to the wedding. What sort of wedding industry provider refuses to speak to a bride 13 days before her wedding? Despite paying MJC IN FULL, we told them we would be using someone else for our wedding. As we were technically ONE DAY past the 14-day timeframe to receive some sort of refund, MJC's response to us was that we would not be getting any money back. Despite the fact that they themselves were breaking the number one point on our contract. Of course, this did not surprise us at all. We were happy to walk away from all our money to not have to deal with MJC or have them ruin our wedding. I could not confirm if we would have access to electricity to accommodate their needs to create an amazing experience for my family, so we decided not to go with SugarCane Junkie. However, she was beyond accommodating. She listened to my request and put together two quotes. Both quotes accommodated the adults and kids ideas I suggested, which included our reunion color, alcohol choices, flavors, and garnishes. On the day of the wedding, everyone was commenting on how beautiful and tasty the drinks were and how efficient and friendly Mia and her assistant were. One of our guests told us that the second he finished his beer, Mia swooped in and offered him a fresh one. Even though we had a signature cocktail list, our guests were raving about the customizations they were able to make and all the options she provided. Lawrence was very professional, prompt and precise throughout the entire booking process. He gave a detailed list of how much alcohol we needed to purchase based on the size of our party. He was very patient with me leading up to the event as I had to change the headcount several times and he even added another bartender to accommodate us. Drinks were great and we had many compliments from our guests. I made my own specialty drink menu and Lawrence was more than happy to accommodate it. Lawrence and his son even showed up in western attire to go along with our theme! We will definitely use Martini Express for our next party/event.

Lawrence was helpful and quick to reply to my questions via email - he made confirming & paying easy, which was so appreciated by a bride who had her hands full already!
