She made the entire planning process easy and found me the best-priced moving date. All I had to do was send photos of my apartment--she accurately documented my inventory, provided a competitive quote, and, most importantly, the quote was honored with no surprises. On moving day, Ika and Soso arrived right on time. They worked quickly while taking great care of my belongings, and they were both friendly, professional, and genuinely enjoyable to chat with throughout the move. The entire move was completed just under the estimated time, and the final price matched the quote exactly. Reliable and transparent - highly recommend.

The guys both days were effective, efficient, organized and focused, which made our time "on the ground" at each of the rental units and shared dock spaces very light. In regards to the handling of the goods it was a good outcome with appropriate handling and no damage. Over all the project came in close to the estimated cost (5% over). The only problematic issue with the move experience involved the driving time and routes taken by the mover to get to and from the storage locations. It was not clearly indicated to me in the contract where geographically they would began charging me nor the routes they were planning to take. They charge the same $125/hr per guy whether driving or loading and unloading, so there is little incentive to be smart and assertive with their driving. Driving cross town from west side 26th/11th avenue to east side Manhattan Bridge to BQE to Verrazano Bridge at 3pm would not have been my choice for the quickest way out of Manhattan to get to south Jersey.

I had a great experience with Powerhouse Moving at first. They seemed professional, timely, responsive and worked quickly. While we were moving, they took my TV off the wall and instead of using bubble wrap, insisted that the best way to move and store the TV was to put it between 2 couch cushions, reassuring me that they do it all the time. I thought this sounded off but let them proceed as they were "the experts". After the move I turned on my $1200 TV and discovered it was broken with numerous permanent lines showing up on the picture display. I immediately called Powerhouse and let them know they broke my TV during the move, asking for them to reimburse me. They offered me $150 compensation which was simply not enough for the damage caused. He said he would talk to his boss and call me right back. It's now been a month from that conversation. I have called and texted their number countless times, left voicemails and have heard nothing back. Although at face value they provide a great service, if something goes wrong, they are unaccountable and shady. This has been completely unprofessional, unacceptable, and I would advise anyone looking for movers to look somewhere else.

I found the Moving Guys by passing their Beachwood store and also reading a review on Yelp. I was moving from a house to a condo and really only needed the large stuff moved with some boxes and appliances. I called, left a message and got a prompt call back scheduling a meeting and a walk through. The meeting went as schedule, I was provided with all the documentation required by the state and also an price list of any packing items that I might need. The quote was for a flat rate move which I was very happy with. Again hearing horror stories of estimates and then "extras" being added on had me being cautious. I wasn't sure when I was going to move and when I did call to check availability for a Saturday and they were available and happy to accommodate on a weekend. A few days before the move I received a call to confirm everything and was provided with an approx time they would be arriving. Saturday morning they arrived 15 min early, all 3 of the employees were very pleasant, introduced themselves and did a walk through on what was moving. They arrived at the house and were heading out to the new place an hour later, not slowing these guys down. Everything was wrapped that needed it and moved with care. Total move time from arrival to leaving my new place was 3 hours, that included taking my IKEA bed apart and putting it and some other furniture back together. Cannot recommend them enough, very professional company.
