I'm a parent carer and I've been very busy looking after my disabled child and other children, and not taken very good care of myself. Determined to change this, I booked an appointment with Deborah and have just had a really nurturing treatment. I'm already feeling calmer and more 'together' and I know that this will grow over the coming days. I'm also looking forward to a great night's sleep (as long as my son got the memo!). If you need help to feel more energised, relaxed and 'joined up' then I would definitely recommend Anahata

My mother suggested I try out this avenue after continual migraines persisted. I would have preferred a Shiatsu massage or even a hot stones massages but it was to be acupuncture. Being a pin cushion wasn't as painful as you would think and Jean was kind and caring with the treatment, which cost £25. She also said that any follow up session would be a further £15 each. It's a strange and interesting process shrouded in history, we'll see what comes of it.

She took the time to ask me a lot of questions about me and told me what foods to eat or to avoid but also gave me advice on things I should try (sports, skin care, meditation for example). She didn't just tell me what to do but also explained to me the particular effects of certain foods/bad habits on the body which made me more aware of my health and I found it fascinating!

Of course the doctors were well educated professionals with informative knowledge, well placed advice and a caring character-they don't just let anyone be a doctor you know. Apart from the medical side of the practice (which is assuring), the real treat comes way of the episodic feel to the waiting room. Although a place of ill health by its very nature, the comradery and jovial spirit around was surprisingly easy to become a part of.

My experiences with Sacha and Ayuseva have been invaluable. As someone who has become allergic to…read moregluten (not just mildly intolerant like everyone else), I have found his knowledge of Ayurveda to be both insightful and on point. I have every reason to trust his expertise as his diagnosis has been backed up by others I have seen in a similar vein, and his recommendations have shown benefits in working my way back to health. Making a life change is unlikely to ever be easy. We put up all kinds of barriers for ourselves and are usually our own biggest obstacle in making forward progress in 'difficult' areas. I've had to give up a lot of the foods I love, but Sascha's help and support have made this possible - both through outlining what I needed as well as adding supplements that help move this process forward. Coming back to health from a place of toxicity is going to involve detoxing, and this is the part of the process that often feels worse than the state of dis-ease that you may have been in. Taking responsibility for your own choices and how you feel is an essential part of this process - if you have pushed yourself to a current state of imbalance over the course of your life up to now, don't expect it to change overnight and be all sweetness and light. Not to say that it has to be hard, but if you don't want to do the work, save yourself time and money and look elsewhere. Sascha's insight and guidance have been invaluable in helping me keep chipping away at the goal I wish to achieve. While the initial consultation cost might sound expensive if you are used to things being free on the NHS, it really isn't and is less than a lot of alternative practitioners charge. Plus, his price for follow-ups is mind-blowingly good value. I've been pushed into nothing I don't want to do, and will recommend Ayuseva to anyone I know who wants to effect change to their own state of health. If you are looking for an expert practitioner who can read pulses to diagnose internal health and has a strong knowledge of Ayurveda supplements, you owe it to yourself to try their process.

He recommended a very simple, healthy yet positively non-restrictive diet changes (according to my doshas), and a course of herbs, some of which I'm still taking (Sasha's approach to healing is gentle and consistent, and the results are lasting and profound). Because I believe that all pathology stems from the unresolved emotional issues, I have now signed up for a Shadow Work workshop this July. Guess it will be challenging, but most rewarding things in life tend to feel that way at first. Besides, the only way is through it. Will update.

As I have visited the campus Health Centre at least once a week for the past couple of months, I feel I am in a perfect position to be reviewing their services! What can I say? The waiting room is nothing special...white plastic garden furniture isn't exactly the height of comfort and whilst I'm not normally one to comment on waiting room furnishings, the wait in this surgery can be long, so naturally, one begins to look around. In fact its a great place for people watching! This is an extremely busy place- it services many students as well as staff and faculty of the university. The staff are all lovely (except for one woman who is unfailingly rude) but they do tend to overrun quite seriously- I have at times, waited 45 minutes beyond my appointment time. I guess this is probably okay if you're a first year student with limited obligations (lets be honest!) but as a member of staff, I feel a bit guilty about popping off for over an hour just to pick up a prescription! That said, the benefit of appointments overrunning is that the staff really take their time with you- I have never been rushed out and have always been given the opportunity to discuss multiple issues- they'll give you as much time as you need. For this reason I'm giving four stars- because caring, professional staff who take a genuine interest in your health is what a doctors surgery should be all about! One star off for uncomfy plastic chairs.

The staff are really friendly and there're loads of experienced nurses on hand to deal with your typical student dramas - they are particularly trained in areas like sexual health for example. The service is a bit slow as they run morning drop ins, which most people attend instead of booked appointments. Further to that, you'll see a nurse first who'll decide whether your problem merits needing to see a doctor. This is very annoying when you know it does, and means waiting twice, even if you have pre-booked your appointment with a doctor. That's my only qualm with the place though - the nurses are all really well-trained, warm and helpful.
