She spoke especially highly of Nancy, sharing that she is incredibly compassionate, knowledgeable, and skilled in working with trauma and abuse. As a parent currently navigating these challenges with my own child, I've been searching for a place that offers not only expert care but also understanding and support. I'll be reaching out soon to connect with Nancy, and I already feel encouraged knowing that others have had such positive experiences here. I'm grateful for the recommendation and hopeful that this will be the right fit for our family.

Despite being on the waitlist for some time (7 months) before being able to see anyone (which frankly I didn't mind because I was not the type to go to, nor did I want to go to therapy; because you know I'm a guy and guys don't talk about their feelings) I have been able to work through some very challenging things and have seen a significant difference in my mental health since meeting with them. If you're looking for a therapist that cares for you, seeks to understand you, and who you can send memes to you should seriously consider Jimmy and his staff. They are top notch and in my opinion are the best there is.

First of all, they contacted me months after my appt in a condescending email that my insurance wasn't covered and I was responsible for the bill. Being proactive as I am i contacted them immediately and it turned out they didn't have my latest insurance. I provided all the information and stated could they please give me an update? I had to keep calling and texting and all they said was we dont have an update yet. Then almost 2 months later I contacted them yet AGAIN and They said "yeah its all set your insurance paid" well you THINK they would have told me?? No communication i had to do all the work. They gave me anxiety ironic because they are a firm to help relieve anxiety.

Honestly, I feel like 99% of therapist don't really have empathy and are going through the motions. Elizabeth is an active listener, and you can tell she genuinely is empathizing with you and analyzing what you're saying to best help you problem solve and work through your emotions. She's really good at responding via emails, and she really just is an excellent attentive therapist, so I wanted to sing her praises a little because therapist like her are incredibly rare.

That said, I live in Utah, and I now have my outpatient team with Center For Change and attend a weekly outpatient open process group here. The meal plan style here is Intuitive Eating, and while I believe that style is absolutely crucial when people are in advanced stages of recovery, but it didn't work well for me when I was deep in my Eating Disorder and I think it's why so many patients here are stuck at the same level of treatment for months and months. It was so much better for me to have a meal plan very loosely based on exchanges, but still helping to educate me on what a normalized meal looks like. I'll say that the cafeteria food must have vastly improved since the 2015 reviewers, because it's the best food I've ever had in treatment anywhere. The cooks are kind and will laugh with you. The food really is fantastic for cafeteria-style grub. Two of the three therapists I've had here are great, and I'm convinced the one I'm seeing now is the best therapist (Eating Disorder or otherwise) in Utah. Really, really solid. For some reason, people here don't seem to have the difficulties with insurance that I and others have experienced in other treatment centers. Perhaps Center For Change's rates are lower? I don't know, but if you have a finicky insurance provider, CFC might be the place for you.

My experience with Center for Change in Orem has left me deeply distressed and has seriously…read moredamaged my trust in this facility. Before starting the medication, my daughter had mild depression. To my knowledge, she had never been suicidal or restricted food. She sometimes tried to eat healthier, but that was very different from refusing to eat. The suicidal thoughts and food restriction began after she started the medication, which is why I am deeply concerned about a possible medication reaction. I expected this timeline to receive careful consideration in her assessment and treatment. My daughter wants to come home, and I have requested her discharge. The facility has opposed that request, and I have submitted a seven-day notice. I have been told that bringing her home before that notice period ends would require paying $1,500 for each remaining day. As a parent, facing that financial demand while trying to bring my child home feels deeply coercive. I sought help for my daughter. Instead, I now feel trapped in a dispute over her discharge and substantial charges. I want a clear explanation of the clinical reasons for continued treatment, the requirements for a safe discharge, and the basis for these charges. Families deserve transparent answers and compassionate communication about decisions affecting their children. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this facility. Before admitting a child, I strongly urge parents to obtain written explanations of discharge procedures, notice requirements, and every charge associated with leaving earlier than the facility recommends.

We love Kyle. He's an incredible therapist and is very gifted in having empathy for your situation…read more Without giving much personal info, we've been seeing Kyle for about eight months now, and the insight and tools we've been given have been incredibly helpful. There's a balance to pointing out the denial in people while still remaining understanding, and we've been fortunate enough to get both. Appointments are almost never canceled, start on time or within a few minutes, and you are given resources to work with at home. It's also nice that Kyle is willing to share some personal experiences and make you feel like you're talking with a friend versus being talked at. Something we really appreciate. Now, I know Kyle as of now is very booked, but seeing as he's the director I trust all his therapists to do well. My husband has interacted with Alex in a group setting many times, and finds him to be equally gifted and wouldn't mind seeing him as well. If you or a loved one need help managing some difficult times, I would reach out here. If you're not sure who to see, you can always ask the receptionist who they recommend based on what people specialize in (Kyle is also a certified sex addiction therapist, and Alex is becoming one if that's a need or Jennifer who works with families when an LGBTQ+ child comes out). Whatever your needs, this is a trustworthy office that can help.

My experience was absolutely heartbreaking. I should not have been admitted here. My state was very manic and they didn't have the staff, security, or means to take someone in my condition. They should've denied me in the first place instead of trying to put me on medication that I'd already been on. Medication did not work previously three times before so why would it magically work in this stage? The fact that they injected me with Haldol, Ativan, and Benadryl made matters worse. One of the good parts about my stay was the music therapist. He was kind and doing his job correctly. I've had friends work here when it was Provo Canyon and Aspen Grove. Both had bad experiences too. Of course there will always be opposition in all things and someone may walk away with a good experience. That is wonderful if that was you, but unfortunately I have heard majority experiences at Provo Canyon/Aspen Grove that have left clients and workers traumatize. Please consider another place to stay. If someone wants to contact me from Aspen Grove directly please do, although everytime I leave a review it either gets reviewed or they say to reach out on their page, but they never respond to me. Hence I have decided to take matters into my own hands. It may take several years but please read below if you get anything out of my review. If you are interested in the class action lawsuit against Provo Canyon Behavioral Hospital/Aspen Grove Behavioral Hospital before and after the name change please feel free to reach out on my instagram (see handle below) Highly recommend not going to this place for treatment. Much better places like Huntsman in SLC or New Roads in Provo for a longer/safer treatment. Life is worth living. Instagram: @Dajolleyman
