Let's start with the good, this place is an amazing concept. It's huge, and there's lots to do. It's not just a typical park with a traditional playground for kids. They have that and tons more to do, to distract kids from little toddlers to older children. Plus, they're very clear with designated areas for young children, and older children to play separately. 5 stars if you go there on a day where nobody is there. Now where there's opportunity: parking is hellacious. You could drive around for 15 minutes and not find a spot. There's not enough and it's a nightmare when you just want to hang out at a public park for 15-30 minutes. Which leads to the second problem, there are way too many people that come here at once. I guess that's not their fault but it creates a lot of chaos for parents trying to manage their little ones. then there's the bathrooms. There aren't enough of those either and they're far away from the playground. I would give it one star for logistics handling. Summary: In order to make it worth your while (arrive, park, walk in and play) plan on being here for at least a couple hours. read more

There were different sides for the kids, like big kids and little kids. There are lots of things for kids to play on and do. Huge playground with lots of things to keep your kiddo busy. We did see several things broken though like the various piano/bell areas. Also a lot of brats going the wrong direction on the slides and of course their parents doing nothing about it. There is an ice cream truck that goes seemingly during peak times with gouged prices. One bar that's like 5x the $$$ amount if we bought it at grocery store. If he's allowed to gouge like that, let's review policy with Frisco Parks and Recreation please and not allow this to happen. Restrooms are available which is nice. There was a weekend we went when they had a religious booth set up at the entrance of the park distributing flyers? In general, I do not want ANY booths there. Please address that moving forward. We don't need to force idealogies on our children. read more

We only explored the playground. I loved the age zones. It was nice to be able to easily keep an eye on my 3yr old toddler while tending to my 10 month old in the under 5 area. Plenty of swings, slides, and places to run around. My toddler went over to the 5+ area and that's where things got hinky. I lost track of him a couple times. And then completely. I walked around the entire structure looking high and low and could NOT spot him. I began to freak out. I called him a few times (he doesn't always answer, it's a skill we are still working on). After checking, I went back through the under 5 area and the butterfly playground - I was seriously freaking out. And then spotted him in the 5+ area finally. He was none the wiser. But...there are places for littles to inadvertently hide, so keep that in The bathrooms aren't far, but not close for a toddler either. So...we had an accident. Plenty of parking. Plenty of sitting/picnic areas inside the zones as well as a pavilion. read more

This is by far my favorite park in the area. The play areas are fenced with only one way in and out. This makes it so much easier to keep up with the kids. Next to the play area is a cute splash pad and a nice walking trail. Definitely worth visiting with the kids read more

This place is wonderful! PROS -Lots of space for kiddos to run around. They have a separate area for the younger kids (3-5) with equipment that is a little smaller then the rest of park - There are several different types of play equipment from your traditions swings, seesaw monkey bars, slides to some more modern equipment like sound bars, merry go round like item, rock climbing, plus more! - Restrooms are semi. Lose so you don't have to walk a mile when your kiddo starts doing the potty dance -Lots of open space to relax on lawn and I believe 3 or 4 covered pavilions if you want to host a CONs -Aside from the picnic space most of the benches are unshaded. My kids LOVE this park. There's a so much for them to do here, they never get bored. When it's really hot out, they go to the splash pad right next to it to cool off and then go back over to the playground when they're ready to play again. This is an amazing new playground that just opened where Frisco Commons Park playground used to be. They've built much better play structures for all ages and they are handicapped accessible. The big kids side (Friendship Park) has wood chips as the floor and lots of structures for climbing and exploring. The Hope Park area has a rubber floor and separate sides for older and younger kids, all with ramps and things to do at all levels. Bright colored and well thought out, it is wonderful fun for everyone. Fantastic job! Probably the best playground in the area. read more

This park is fun for kids all ages. There is so much for them to do. The only complaint I would have is, it looks a little run down. Some of the flooring is coming undone, the equipment is old and dirty. Once we left the park I had to do major hand cleaning. Luckily I brought my own soap and water for clean hands. I think my favorite park is still Spirit Park in Allen. But the kids loved it here. read more

This park is a great place for toddlers to elementary aged children. I have no safety concerns as at. The restrooms are not the cleanest, but the play equipment, trails, pavilion, pond, and parking make up for that. read more

Hope Park is Frisco's best kept secret!!! I have been here a handful of times since I've discovered the park back a few months ago. This is not your ordinary neighborhood park with a large playground and a set of monkey bars. It is like a mini amusement park with areas for toddlers and bigger kiddos. The best part about this place is that children with special needs and disabilities may also enjoy everything this park has to offer, such as specially made swings and a merry-go-round. Another thing I love about this place are all the inspirational quotes written all over the park. I love happy thoughts and happy places... Makes a person truly happy! I have taken a few of my family and friends' children here and all the children greatly enjoyed the park. It is located inside Frisco Commons where there is a paved running trail with a nice lake and lots of covered benches for parties. I think you may have to reserve these areas, but I am not 100% sure. There is a huge parking lot and the park is pet friendly (except for the actual playground itself). This is a great, *FREE* place to take the kiddos to burn off some energy and have a great time. Highly recommend taking your kiddos here! Love it! And a BIG thank you to all the volunteers, businesses, and great minds who put this park together. This is a huge park. The best part is that there is only one way in an one way out of the play area. Your child can't escape, that is a huge weight lifted off your shoulders as a parent. There are two play areas. There is a bigger kid's area and a smaller kiddo's part. They are separated to keep the littles from getting hurt by the bigger kids. There is also a large pavilion that is covered that you can pack a picnic and eat a great meal under. As well as an eating area there is also a splash pad. Overall this park is amazing. My kids loves it. They played for hours. I was also very proud of Frisco PD for maintaining order and a family centered place. There are educational facts all around the play area as well as inspirational quotes. The only thing that kept me from giving it 5 stars was the restrooms. The toilets looked like prison toilets like you see in tv and it wasn't clean. Other than that tidbit, we will definitely return! read more
