We tried their specialty beef rice noodles called "Beef Crossing The Bridge" - which was served deconstructed: bowl of broth, bowl of noodles, 11 toopings/ingredients (e.g. bean curd, broccoli, a quail egg, carrots, wood ear mushrooms, bamboo shoots), raw beef, and cooked beef. We also tried an order of pork belly and rice, won ton soup, and pan-fried dumplings. The beef rice noodle dish was bland - broth was lacking flavor and depth but the noodles had a nice, smooth texture. The pork belly dish had tender pieces of pork belly but the dish itself lacked in flavor. The won ton and dumplings were decent but nothing special.

Steady flow of customers that were tourists and locals to pick up, delivery service and purchased goods (meat and pastries) to enjoy outside of restaurant. Walls were nicely painted. Tables were clean. Located in Chinatown where there is street and parking lots. Partner is interested in trying meats at home in the future. In the past I purchased their BBQ meats, duck, etc. along with pastries to enjoy at home that were always tasty.

The beef horfun was sold out (the chef orders them weekly from a special small-batch place in Vancouver weekly!) so the owner kindly substituted it with the Singapore style noodles instead and it still worked out great. Make sure to eat it with her special extra-spicy housemade chili oil that REALLY kicked it up a notch. Everything else that we tried was great too - the pan fried pork buns, the cucumber and wood ear salad etc. Tea is charged at $2.50/person. The interior decor is very quaint and we like how private/cozy it felt; almost reminded us of those quaint restaurants in Paris that have very limited/intimate seating - for that reason alone, be sure to make a reservation well in advance. Docking one star only because service was very, very slow - the chef means it when she says it's "Not Fast"! We were here for almost 2.5hrs and can see how understaffed it was with just one person in the kitchen and dirty dishes left by previous patrons all piling up. Nonetheless, we really enjoyed the food here and will be back to try the seafood curry fried rice on an evening that we're not in a hurry/have time to kill. And hey, at least Uno cards are provided for your table to play with while you wait!
