As it turns out it does not mean that you have naked people serving whiskey (which was a bit of a relief). What it does mean is that there is a huge range of whiskey to choose from, though as I have suggested I'm not a big fan - I prefer beer. Mind you, for those like me who prefer a glass of beer, they do have a selection of craft beers on tap so that you don't appear out of place while all of your friend's are drinking whiskey (though would are probably drinking whiskey along with them). They have a restaurant and an outdoor area, those the DOSA is around the front where there are some cool barrels that look like somebody has poured wax over them.

Ambience of the place is casual order at the counter then go to the table and wait for it to be called. The drinks were decently priced. Not much in terms of service it is a casual vibe ordering at the counter not table service. James street however is a great place to walk around during the day to see the shops. At night it is a great place to have drinks with friends. So either of those occasions having a casual place to grab a quick bite is handy. But the food is nothing compared to the higher end restaurants neighboring it.

Eat a Pocket bills itself as having "Brisbane's Best Falafel." This is the only falafel I've had in Brisbane, since I don't live here, but I'd have to say it was pretty darned good. It came with hummus, salads, tabouli, pickles, tomato salsa, cole slaw, and tahini. For the price ($12!), however, it was really small. That was the one let-down about this place. I was expecting a full falafel wrap -- but these "pockets" are a little less than half the size of a typical falafel wrap (like the kind you might get from a kebab shop). Tasty, yes, and definitely better quality than anything you'd get at a kebab shop, but ultimately not worth the price tag. They also have a variety of other Middle Eastern vegetarian options -- a "brekky pocket" ($8.50) with scrambled eggs; a "hummus pocket" ($11) with hummus, coleslaw, tabouli, salsa, pickles, and tahini; a "babaganoush pocket" ($12), which is the same as the hummus pocket but with babaganoush instead; a mezze plate ($13) with falafel balls, sauerkraut, pita bread, and lots of dips; and basic falafel platters with your choice of 6 or 12 falafel balls. Definitely nice flavours, but really overpriced for what you get. Their falafel platters, hummus pocket, and falafel pocket are all vegan. The brekky pocket isn't (contains scrambled eggs) and I didn't ask about the babaganoush pocket (sometimes babaganoush contains dairy). Service was also super nice and friendly. Just at the end of the business strip along Beaudesert Road is where you'll find the Red Lion. It's looks as if it's been freshly unveiled after a renovation job, with it's fire engine red walls, and stainless steel furnishings. The pub has a nice alfresco area, it's very spacious on the inside, and offers a dining room that gives off something of a more sophisticated vibe. The pub grub is cheap as chips. You can get your surf and turf, and your steak and garden salad for around $15. The meals really are the highlight of the Red Lion. Outside of that, they've got your standard pub features. There's a long row of pokies, a tiny video arcade room complete with pinball machine, a couple of pool tables and a big long bar you can come in and sit yourself down at to wile away the afternoon chatting with the bar tender. There's a lot going on in Moorooka these days, it's a happenin' little place. Know that I know there's a pub out there with good eats, I'll probably be heading out there more often.

First the choice of ciders and beer on tap is great. Second the staff are lovely and helpful. Third, well the food, it's amazing, delicious, great value, and so much better than you would expect! The chef is brilliant! I had the slow cooked beef ribs with my choice of 2 sides; kipfler potato sand tomato with buffalo cheese warm salad. The beef was so soft and falling off the bones!!! The others at our table had beef cap and the lamb. We all loved our meals and, it seems we are going to have a meal here every 2 or 3 weeks. Come here try the place, you will love it!!

The pizza menu includes both 'Rosse' (red sauce) and 'Bianche' (white sauce) varieties. Recently I tried the funghi porcini, one of the white sauce pizzas, featuring mozzarella, porcini mushroom, fontina cheese and sage. Its beautifully delicate flavour and fragrant sage stands out really well from the lovely thin bases. So " Il posto" , which translates to " the place" in the beautiful and sexy Italian language which runs a very close second to my favourite "French " It sits amongst a busy hub of large supermarkets, other caffeine stops and the usual suspects of travel agents, hairdressers, butchers and so. Once again Paddington is very inept of activity on a cool July night in Brisvegas, the waiter in which Bella has waited all day to hear deciphers the menu in beautiful Italian of which brings a beautiful smile of enjoyment through her eyes which I believe is the way to truly see a woman's happiness. The menu is a blend of tradition from the magnificent Caprese salads with house made mozzarella , rich ruby tomatoes, aged balsamic and the smell of perfumed basil to finish, created from the region of Campania it brings back wonderful memories of a chilled Campari with bitter orange and a portrait of Italy on a plate of this wonderful creation as I sat at tables listening to this beautiful language as I traveled through Italy. All arrived and once again the romance and courting began, a quiet them murmurs as the birthday girl devoured the foot long calzone which I sensed many could not finish, but our girl devoured with much gusto and amour.
