Hooters is a nostalgic place for me. When I lived in Hawaii, we went to hooters every Sunday for crab legs and wings. The whole family would go. When we moved to Wilmington and saw that hooters was still around as many have closed, we were so stoked. I love their wings and crab. The seasoning on the crab legs, so good. They have a seafood Sunday special happening. Right now 1/2 off and it was so great last night! Madison was our server and she was on it! Refilling our boys drinks, making sure everything was great. Well I can't say I've had anything bad here. Today Ava was our waitress and she was very attentive and sweet. She took good care of us. We came with a coupon for buffalo shrimp appetizer. We put order in and came out with great flavor and nice and hot! Then we got traditional wings!! I don't know why I can not stop eating these things .. it's tender on inside and nice dry on outside .. was very happy with our trip there today.. Don't come here unless you're okay with your food taking an hour to be ready. We sat down and had our drink order taken. After 10 minutes, they came back to notify us that they don't have any soda... why it took 10 minutes to figure that out? I have no idea. We ordered 10 bone-in wings with a dry rub and waited over an hour to get them. We sat back by the service window which was fine, however the amount of cussing and attitude coming from the workers was astonishing. All staff was unhappy and seemed as though they were angry they had customers. This was my first visit here in several years. I was in town for a concert and arrived on a Sunday afternoon around 4 pm. The hostess guided me to my table and notified my Hooters server that I had been seated. In observing the staff, they were both efficient and had good interaction with the customers. My Hooters Girl (Morgan) was pleasant and carried on polite conversation. I mention this because it used to be a staple of the Hooters experience, and sadly missing at many locations/staff members. Here is the Petty Problem, they charged us for every sauce 99 cents. We got wings they charged us for one little cup of ranch, we got onion rings they charged us for ranch, I got mild wings but when they arrived they have no sauce on them so I asked her to bring me a small cup of mild sauce for my wings cause they're wasn't any on them , she did and charged me for it. Decided to grab a bite to eat after shopping at target ! The restaurant wasn't packed.. was able to just walk in and get seated.. can't remember my waitress name but she was very pleasant. Our order was wrong and we didn't get the correct type of silverware (we had to ask a waitress walking by that wasn't ours because ours dropped off items quickly and didn't walk by again). Terribly unsanitary kitchen (direct view from the bar), roof leaks in several areas, understaffed so multiple tables left uncleaned, and staff on the clock literally hiding from hosting or serving. I regret not bringing any of this to light when it first began, which could have prevented multiple lives and the well being of wonderful women who have never broken a rule or done anything negative to anyone in their entire existence, have been completely ruined because of the actions of mainly two individuals and one company. I held my tongue and was silent because in the past three years this place has gone through incredible changes. From being a nasty, dirty, hole in wall where we have opened the restaurant to someone who had pasted away on the front porch to a perfect place where, the employees could come to work everyday and actually leave with money that they had made from the customers that came back to the restaurant because they were happy with the experience that the girls gave them. Everywhere has liquor, every restaurant has beer, every restaurant has terrible food that all tastes like every other restaurant we all eat at everyday but not everywhere has the people that bring use loyal people back everyday. I go to places because of the people that you can only see there and no where else. A fact, that I still cant believe to this day is that no ones makes sure these girls are even safe at the establishment they work in. Not the managers, not corporate, not the company. This event plays over and over in my mind like a bad dream. It was a weekday and about 12:00, there was myself and only two other tables in the whole restaurant. A creepy old man in a mr rogers sweater sat in the booth by the window. The absolutely innocent female "manager" that just so happened to serving that morning, came outside to ask me to take a picture with her and that creepy man. It is hooters "policy" (the most disgusting rule ive ever seen) is that if a customer ask for a picture the waitress has to take a picture with them. Since when do you go to your place of employment where you make money to feed yourself, and have a home is it REQUIRED to be touched AT ALL by a member of the general public? So I said of course and the entire time I was taking the multiple pictures, he was groping her in whatever way he wanted. I really would like you to think about being this young college and having to stand there and let that happen. She did what she should have done. Went to the new General Manager, Jim Wiggins and told him what happened. He said and I qoute "You should ask him to buy a Hooters Calendar" This should tell you everything you need to know about this mans character. I dont have to say another word, and any compete person could understand that this sack of skin doesnt have anything that resembles a soul in his body and shouldnt be around anyone, let alone task with responsibility of making sure everyone of this staff can come to a safe work environment, not be literally chased around the restaurant by a man would carry a disposable camera named Burt who would come in there everyday until a regular had to have a conversation with him and tell him he wasnt welcome there anymore because the managers REFUSED to make him leave when they would witness this and then ignore it was even happening. After the new General Manager Jim Wiggins, told her this, obviously this degenerate thought, oh this must alright...nothing will happen to my atrocious behavior. So he went around to all the waitresses and ask for pictures. Jim Wiggins the general manager went in the back and hid like a coward while his staff was being violated in the front. We had to go find him, point the man out and then Jim pretended to go blind and say that even though their was literally one other guest in the entire restaurant and say whch one I dont see him as the creepy little weasel tried to quickly leave the restaurant. A regular and Matthew the only decent human being of a manager had to run out the door to catch up to him as he was just arriving for his shift and tell the man that we dont do those things here and he isnt welcome back. Are words hard to say? Did Matt have to fight a giant or a gang of people to have his staff safe, and not felt up where the make a living everyday? No he said hey, dont do that leave....the actions, or lack their of on Jims part was disgusting. Cameras dont lie by the way. Speaking of turning a blind eye. We have had many general managers in the last three years but only one corporate manager. He doesnt realize that he knows me, and had many conversations with me. Only to just have learned my name two months ago when we received our new deplorable GM, and it so happens to also be his name. Imagine that, the reason for this ability to remember may have somthing to do with Josh only making visits to the store 1 day out of every year as per an agreement that he had with the former GM. I say this due to there was 12 of us that dined in and since the server managed to get all of our drinks, food and check correct I was quite impressed. Today I ate a chicken sandwich with a side of fries. The chicken was not dry one bit, and the lettuce and tomato was fresh. The only thing that could of made it better was a toasted bun. The sauce on the chicken was great but not as hot as I wanted it since I did order a hot but the server gave me more sauce on the side which seemed to help. They should have a bronze plaque by now on our favorite table. Wings have increased in price by 50%, and the average wing has shrunk to microscopic proportions, but that's a story for another time. This review is about the state of customer service in America, because, surely our local Hooter's is a microcosm of Americana. Right? Manager comes by the table on what I call a "drive by - " that's when he walks rapidly by your table while shouting "how's it going, boys?" I asked him if he had a minute to talk about catering. He stopped walking for a moment. I told him I belonged to a local organization of 300 members that held 5 general meetings a year, where north of 220 people showed up. We are paying our current caterer $30,000 a year for the food contract. In my book, that's a big contract. He said "we have a catering menu," and he disappeared for 20 minutes, returning to tell us he couldn't find any, but if we dropped by next week "we could pick one up." I asked him for a general pricing for wings, sliders, a salad, dessert, and non-alcoholic beverages. His answer: "Prices are lower than our regular menu prices." No details. No interest in hearing more. I asked him "if they would deliver and send a few of the girls to staff the buffet table." The answer was "DoorDash delivers." He showed no interest in continuing the conversation. A $30,000 food contract. No interest. That, my friends, is the American state of customer affairs. read more

My co workers and I went to Hooters for lunch. We were told that the grill had been down for two days but we could order anything that was fried. We did. It took nearly 45 minutes to get our orders. I went to the restroom to wash my hands. The restroom smelled worse than some porta potties I have used. Some of the booths have holes and are half repaired with tape. Our waitress might as well been wearing a thong as her rear end was hanging out. I guess this was to compensate for the lack of service. I have told all my coworkers not to waste their time with this establishment and to go to the Alehouse down the street. The food and service are a lot better there. read more

I really, really wanted to be able to give a good review. I'm a fan of the chain but never had been to/ordered from this location, and I was craving wings. I was happy to see they were delivering about 5 miles away. I got an offer through the app, and also had a gift card. I spent about 45 minutes trying to figure out how to use the gift card on the app. Voucher? No, doesn't work. Coupon code? Negative. Payment method? Only credit card. I tried a few combinations in there with no dice. Finally, I called the restaurant and asked for advice. Katie suggested putting it in as a credit card, and using the expiration 12/49. She was very polite and friendly. I tried this to no avail. At this point, we're hungry, and having worked in restaurants I know they can adjust the payment method on the back end, so I put the order on my card and called back. I got Katie again, who put me on the John, and I'm not sure who he was. She called him the Hospitality Manager, but later he said "I'm the only cook on." All good, I'm sure they have to get creative with staffing right now, was just a bit confusing. I explained the situation to John, and he said I shouldn't have paid for it and I did it the wrong way. I clarified with him at that point I just wanted to get my order in, that I'd called to try to ask how to do it the right way and the response I got had not worked. John, at a few points, started raising his voice. I held my phone away as my boyfriend raised his eyebrows. I explained to John I knew this was something they could do, and he for whatever reason then seemed to calm down. He put on the gift card that I repeated to him over the phone - twice- and read my my total. I thought it seemed off but said okay, and he handed me back to Katie. I did some mental math and realized while adding my gift card, he'd taken off my $15 voucher. I told Katie but said it's fine, at this point I just want it concluded. I mean, this is eating up way more of my time than it was worth. Katie informs me after a few holds that they're going to take care of the remaining $19 because they can't re-add the voucher (???) but okay, that's nice. I get a text that the food will be delivered shortly, and we wait. It's about 25 minutes past the projected time when I click the link to Postmates status, that says "delivered". I look outside, nothing. No phone call, no knock on the door. I walk around to the other side of the house- which has a DIFFERENT ADDRESS- and the bag of food is sitting in the driveway. Just...wow. We get the food inside and open it up, of course it's ice cold. We ordered one ranch and one blue cheese, and it came with two blue cheese. We ordered our 20 hot wings breaded, they came naked. Both the hot wings and the three mile island wings looked like they were having a sauce shortage and had barely been covered, and lacked the real flavor. Overall just...bad. Two different people in our group asked the waitress if she could have the TVs turned down a bit. (One person in our group was not feeling well & the loudness was making it worse for her.) The waitress said & I quote "the manager loves sports but I'll ask him again." She came back & said "he said no, he won't turn them down." I recently had my first dining experience with this restaurant based on great recommendations from my family. I travelled all the way from Massachusetts and had looked forward to our plans to eat at this restaurant. Sad to say, they did not live up to their name. Not only was my order of just 2 cold deli sandwiches skipped over multiple times, they actually cleared out the entire restaurant FIRST before they made my order, but I also had to remind them twice that I was still waiting. There was no apology for their mistake and certainly no thanks for patiently waiting. I ordered 2 cold Italian combo sandwiches and every topping I requested was intentionally left off of my order. So, I did not get the full taste experience that I had heard about and I did not leave as a satisfied customer. Unfortunately I won't be able to recommend others to this place.
