We ordered wings with Medium Sauce and were given barely warm with NO sauce at all. When we told the waitress she argued that they are cooked in the sauce . There was NO sauce on them. She brought us a cup of their sauce that looked like curdled cheese of some sort. The sandwich was not cut as requested...had to ask for silverware...and had to ask for a plate. I will NEVER recommend this location to anyone and we will not be back. I will say that the manager stepped up and brought us more wings. But sadly after seeing the curdled cheese "sauce" they use, lost my appetite. read more

Our awesome waitress and the food was the only reason for two stars. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. The food came out hot and was very delicious. The reason for such a low rating is the managers and the LACK there of. I have photos of 3/4 managers who stood by the food station for at least 30/40 min talking. Not one of them taking the responsibility of serving food to customers that is sitting there getting cold. Our waitress brought us "to go" silverware and said "I'm sorry, we have to give you plastic because we don't have anyone here to wash the silverware. I was shocked. What do you mean you don't have anyone?? I am looking at 3/4 managers who could be doing such thing in the event they don't someone to do it. Wow. I can't even believe that. I had to tell the waitress the women's restroom was appalling. One stall was unusable due to feces on the toilet. What an absolute embarrassment that these so called managers think their job is a high school hang out of who is important. They should be leading their staff by example. I didn't see one going around asking customers how their experience was. Very good thing I guess. They definitely wouldn't have liked my answer. Very very sad. We definitely will not be back. Service was terrible. The staff are more interested in flirting with their managers than they are in serving guests. People can say "Oh, it's just Hooters." All they want, but it doesn't excuse them from providing customer service... Anyhow. Worst location I have ever been to in the whole DFW metroplex. Took an hour and a half to get 20 wings with my fiancé. Server kept apologizing but in no regards is this her fault. When she brought the wings out they were completely cold and had barely any seasoning on them. The wings were half glazed with the sauce. Lazy kitchen staff and terrible service. **I Shih Tzu not, this REALLY happened** The quest for Great Traditional 3 Mile Island wings that ended in disappointment: Conclusion: Our drink service was poor, food was delayed for a couple of hours and it seemed that the kitchen was not coordinating well. I can only hope that in the future, the corporation will spend time to make improvements in this establishment. History: We have had this situation happen to us a couple of times at this location but because of the timespan between each visit, we keep our hopes up that new management will fix the issues (I'll enlighten you here in a sec) but only to be disappointed and our hopes given up just like when you think there will be an end to the Star Wars saga! Let's begin with our arrival date: December 30th Saturday @ around 6:45 p.m. We picked this location over the Plano Hooters (our preferred location with a disadvantage of a longer commute) because this location was not going to be showing the UFC fights and we did not want to be in an over crowed restaurant. Our first sign to tell us to get the heck out was when requesting a table for 7 (5 would be arriving shortly) and being seated in a high top with room with a max of 5. Maybe they though not all would be coming, so essentially, we were going to be stood up by our friends. Our waitress was kind, was able to take our drinks and when we informed her of our issue with space she immediately spoke with the greeter to determine a better table. She was also willing to take care of us even though the table was not part of here "zone." Our first thoughts were that she is a stellar waitress, willing to take care of us and by the looks of it she only had two other tables! We were looking at getting in and out under an hour and a half! (Woman/Man) were we wrong! Around 7 p.m., while waiting for the remaining two to arrive, we ordered an appetizer of half an order of breaded jalapeño and pickles. Around 7:10 p.m. we were all accounted for and placed our orders. As we conversed among each other, our drinks soon ran out and no waitress in sight, well she was but she was too busy flirting with two guys trying to work that tip. Keep in mind she only has 3 tables. 30 minutes later our appetizers arrived only to be warned by our waitress that the kitchen is getting backed up and it would be a good idea to place our order now. As we looked around the restaurant we overtly displayed confused faces, having a synchrony of thought "who is ordering?" There must be less than 40 people in this place. Hunger clouded our judgment, we did not try to succumb, we all placed our orders and began conversing once again trying to catch up on life. Again, our cups yearned for liquids. Then came the bad news, our waitress had made an amateur move and forgot to send our food orders, we were in disbelief! It had happened again! She was very apologetic and we laughed but did not in any way direct our frustration toward her. She explained that it would take another 45 minutes to get our food, there was no rushing the order, we were told it was going to be placed in the order it got received and now we were looking at an E.T.A of 8:15. We were in the city limits of Hunger and Satiety seemed so far away! We decided to wait since if we left to go to another place we would back track and be at step 1 again. Between this time, we joked around and our waitress decided she did not want to continue servicing us so she asked a veteran waitress to take over. Our new waitress informed us that the other waitress felt overwhelmed. Keep in mind there was a total of three tables under her belt. My brother couldn't take it anymore, he mentioned ordering from the Plano hooters and having UberEATS deliver at this location and it would be faster. We laugh, but he was not joking. We convinced him just hold on and so we waited. This would have been a great social media 1M+ view story! Our new waitress was on top of it and after those 45 minutes, our food came out. But wait for it, it came out in pieces, our first order that was a to-go-order was placed for dine in and so it was sent back to be prepared for a to-go-order. Over the next 20 minutes, our food arrived only to find out that my order was nowhere in sight. Again, it was another 10-minute wait for mine, so from our initial ordering at 7:10 p.m. we received our food around 9:00 p.m. Then our fries came out so still we were unable to get our complete orders. Around 9:30 p.m. we were given our itemized receipt ($140) but were told that our food was on them. The manager never came to apologize for their service (too busy cooking because of staffing issues). I overheard another couple projecting their frustration on how terrible the food was (cold fries and wings) and to some extent was relieved because it was not just us. This organization had issues and it seemed that customers were just not happy with the service. read more

It seemed like a normal Monday afternoon. I arrived around 11:32 am, by myself, for a nice lunch of boneless wings. By 11:34 am, the hostess had come to lead me to a seat. Please note: The location was not overflowing with people, in fact, it was only about half full. My server, Dani, came by quickly to get my drink order. She returned and asked if I was ready to order. I chose the 10-count boneless wings and was ready to go. About 12:00 pm, my food was finally delivered. Dani came by the table to freshen my drink and to apologize for the delay. I was informed that the kitchen was understaffed and some of the employees back there were new. I'm addicted to hooters and their crab legs! I order from them at least once a week. They always get my food right and deliver it very fast. My only complaint is that every time I order a redbull they don't have it. They may need to have a few extras laying around. If I could give zero stars, I would! We dealt with the same of what everyone else is saying... It took several minutes for anyone to acknowledge us at the hostess stand. Once we were seated, the service seemed to be acceptable for awhile. We ordered the beer cheese and pretzel bites, they came out piping hot and were delicious. That's the only good thing I have to say. After placing our order, it took at least 30 minutes to get our food. I ordered the boneless wings platter to split with my almost 4 year old son. When I tried to cut one of the wings apart with my fork, it was obvious that it was not fresh, it was barely warm at best. The fries were hard and cold like everything else. I question how recently the food was prepared. It can't be good if my son doesn't eat chicken and french fries, and he LOVES both! When the manager made the rounds & asked how things were, I mentioned how the food was cold and he simply said "your food must have been out of rotation" which was very off putting. After asking for the ticket, looking over the receipt and putting our card at the edge of the table, it took her almost 10 minutes return; and she walked past our table at least 3 times before picking up the card. It was just a frustrating experience all around and we will NEVER return to this location ever again. I will go out of my way to Plano or Addison if I want to go to Hooters again. Very disappointed with our recent visit on January 3, 2019. I have been seeing Hooters recent commercial featuring 15 boneless wings and a 60 ounce pitcher of beer for $15.00 which runs from November 5, 2018 through January 10, 2019. That was enough motivation to go to Hooters. However, our waitress told us they had ended that promotion at the end of December even though the commercial is still running on TV. After seeing it today, I called the manager to ask. She said they brought the promotion back on Friday the day after we went and offered no compensation. ROACHES! My wife and I ate at the McKinney location yesterday, October 5, 2017. The fried pickles and buffalo chicken sandwiches were awesome. When we lifted our to-go box from the table, a roach was hanging out on our table! We assume it came from the bottom of the to-go container but not sure. My wife's ninja'd it, but I made her leave it on the table while it was still twitching so we could show our server (the hostess). Our server was appropriately appalled, and said she was "so sorry." We were in a hurry, so we didn't ask to speak with a manager, but it wasn't offered either. We weren't even offered a bribery meal. There was nothing good that we order. First, we ordered beer cheese and pretzel appetizers. The cheese was burnt so are server gave us new cheese. Then ordered chicken wings and fried. The wing had so much sauce on them that my husband chicken wings kept slipping out of his hands and the fries were salty. I ordered crab legs and coleslaw. Ya, I know who orders crab legs at Hooters, however I was hungry for seafood. For some odd sake, my crab legs had season salt on them. Ok, we are happy, we are eating. So 15 minutes goes by and no wings. 20 minutes, then 30 minutes, then 40 minutes. Its now 5:30, something is obviously wrong. We noticed the girls up front arguing about who's plates are who's. Another waitress comes up to check on us. I asked to see the manager. Manager tried to give us some lip service about how busy they were and he was in the back not realizing what was going on. Not even remotely trying to be empathetic with us. We weren't the only one complaining about the service. Busy? 11 tables and about 7 girls. I would not recommend this place under current management and staff. I'm a long time McKinney resident and used to eat at this location weekly. In the past few years the establishment has deteriorated quite significantly. I've attempted going back a few times this past year and each time it's worse and disappointing. I ate there this past Friday with my daughter and the place was filthy. I ordered a salad with my meal and it was set under the heat lamps and got to the point the bowl was actually warm. I politely told the waitress that I watched my salad sit under the heat lamps for quite some time and that it was warm and unacceptable. The manager on duty brought me a new salad and didn't say a word...no apology, no nothing. This is the type of service Hooters now exhibits on a regular basis. The store from the outside walking in was filthy. Trash is visibly present along the garage doors on the inside of the store and it doesn't look like they address it at all. For the time being, this customer has left and most likely won't be back. I sincerely hope some coaching and training can maybe turn this store around. read more

Where do I start, me, my wife, and daughter all ordered traditional wings and it took about 45 minutes to get them and when we did get them they were extremely soggy and under cooked. They are supposed to be crunchy when you bite into them that is why we like hooters but these were slimy and the skin was stretchy. Really grossed us out. We told the waitress and got them replaced after another 20 minutes and they were still a little off, either that or I was still grossed out from earlier.
