A group from the Armed Forces Retirement Home in Gulfport had lunch today. My salad was great and everyone in the group was happy with their lunch. Been ordering the same chicken strip sandwich I'd say for 25 years and it taste the exact same, which is awesome. The only minor minor minor issue I had which is they didn't put quite enough Buffalo sauce on it and that didn't make it taste as good as it could've but I really should've asked for more sauce so I still go ahead and give them five stars. read more

Think you know all about Hooters? You don't, or at least I didn't. I have never set foot in this Hooters and don't ever plan to. But John, why would you write a review if you've never been to a place? Waitr whodi. Waitr. Thanks to one of the best inventions for the occasionally to lazy to go pick up food, I have eaten food from this Hooters several times. Let me set the scene for you. I was chatting with a buddy who lives near me and we were talking about food delivery spots. He mentioned Hooters would deliver which shocked me because it's pretty far away. But Waitr agreed with him so I perused their menu and that is what led me to write this review. So you think you know what Hooters is all about right? A bunch of hard up dudes leering at women in pantyhose from the 1970s? Yeah, that's true if you eat in. But read the next words carefully. Smoked wings. Let me repeat that: smoked mother lovin wings. Forget the breaded and fried wings. They're ok. But smoked wings are gosh darn delicious. Freakin amazing in fact. Add the Jamaican jerk dry rub and you will be very happy. This is now my go-to order. They are always perfectly juicy and super smoky. I actually prefer these wings to ones I've ad at actual BBQ joints. Yeah. They're that good. I have to update my review about this place. People know I not a huge fan of the place. That being said. The service is top notch! I got to give credit where it's due. Bella was our server and she was amazing! Made us feel at home. She took the time to recommend what to get and ask if that's is enough food for us. They accidentally brought out our food before our appetizer. Wasn't Bella fault. Bella was quick to notice the mistake. She didn't make the food. She told us the issue and it will be put out shortly. She apologized for the inconvenience. The kitchen knows how to cook fresh food and taste great. Great casual spot for food. The manager Melvin noticed the mistake and was quick to remedy the situation. He made sure it got out to us and took care of us. Great experience! Will be back! The seating is tables or bar stool seating. Hard wood seats not cushion but comfortable tho. FYI take south on 49 on the right lane; cause it's on your right side just pass Creosote Rd. Or stay in right turning lane on Creosote, that way you can make a right into the restaurant. Next to Holiday Inn. No WiFi that I know of? Be sure to ask for military discount too. I forgot to ask. Yes, we agree a military ID should be presented to receive a discount, if that is the company's policy. This location talks out of both sides of their mouth. Extremely disrespectful to veterans. Most Hooters aren't very different from others so if you're going there to oogle girls in their early 20's and that's the only reason, you're gonna be just fine. Me? Sure I like looking at beautiful girls BUT...... to me, these are just kids. Well, chicks that are more than ten years younger than me are all just kids. Not my thing. You know what IS my thing tho? Cold beer and pub grub. I do come to this Hooters from time to time when I'm in Gulfport for a quick tall cold beer and a few wings. I like this Hooters because it's still the "old design" from back in the 80's before they started building more "updated" Hooters and modernizing the older ones. Had takeout from here as I could care less for the, shall we say, titular aesthetic! It seems that they have added some flavors to their wings, which is what I had. I engaged the Samurai Teriyaki.. which tasted nothing like a medieval Japanese warrior, and the garlic Parmesan. Both were tasty and enjoyed with a side of celery. Again.. I called the location to make sure they were honoring a promotion before I drove the 25 minutes from Biloxi. Was told that they had a separate promotion going on so I took the drive. Upon getting to the location I was told that they were not honoring any promotions on that evening. After explaining that I had called and confirmed, the bartender was not sympathetic and didn't even bring it up to her manager 15 feet away. Due to my hunger, I wound up ordering anyway. Ordered 20 wings. Hot and a honey Thai. Wings came out very fast .... and cold. I asked the server to take them back as they were cold. My husband had already bit into one. I asked for them to be fried extra crispy. Upon them coming back to the table they were the same damn wings, a little warmer, not by much. Not fried fresh at all.. and the best part, I got 18 wings instead of 20. While sitting there I noticed the dirt in the ceiling vents and just overall not good. I haven't been to hooter in Gulfport for a while now, and couldn't really remember why I stopped going, so I asked a friend to meet me and my wife there at 5 for wings and a few beers. Got there at 5, ordered at 510, got our food at 620. It really wasn't that busy so I could not blame it on that. Our waitress was not attentive as she was pulling a double and had two sections to watch (what?,that didn't make sense then or now). Stoped into this hooters on the way to New Orleans. We were greeted by Angela as she took our drink order and sprinkled a little salt on our beverage napkin. For people in the service industry this is a little trick to not have your cold glass stick to the napkin upon picking it up. She took iur order and checked and I was still looking at the menu she noticed and asked if I still wanted something. Angela checked on us multiple times if our food was ok. Now having been to several Hooters back in CA, my favorite being the one in San Diego, I can tell you that the Gulfport Hooters really isnt as bad as you might think. The girls are friendly and the service is excellent. The manager is a great guy and the new "Daytona" chicken wings taste like they are fresh off the BBQ grill in your back yard. They offer a full bar and unlike most Hooters back home the Gulfport location can usually accommodate you with a table fairly quickly. While I dont care for the extra charge for dressings, the food is good, fairly priced and there is nothing like enjoying the game surrounded by attractive young gals. Its also a great place for lunch. Next time you stop in ask for Judge Ray and let him know Remy sent ya!!! read more

The food abd servuce were well under par! My wife ordered the burger and fires for lunch. the burger was supposed to be medium, but it came out over well done to the point that it was too dry for her to eat. The fries came out absolutely cold. The waitress replaced the order with a fresh batch of hot fries wich we actually pretty good. Getting refills of drinks for both of us was a challenge. Often our glasses were empty. The food protions were not consistent with other Hooters restaurants. The burger had 1 slice of tomato, 1 onion ring piece, and less than a tablespoon of lettuce. The wings I ordered were as ordered, but the size of each individual wing was significantly less that what I had experienced at other Hooters restaurants. Overall, I was highly disattified with the service and the quality of food. Spend the extra time and go to the Biloxi Beach location. The food is better cooked and presented, and the service is great. In short, it will take a lot to persuade me to go to Hooters in Gulfport. Their get them in and out attitude with no regard for quality or service rates less than a full star, but that is the lowest rating. I have been to Hooters all over the country from the original in Florida, to the location in Honolulu.This location is by for the worst experience with the Hooters chain!!!! 3left5right read more

Ok Ok so Hooters is just not for the guys out there :P I must admit it took a good bit of talking me into taking a step into Hooters for the first time. But I quickly felt very comfy their and not out of place at all. I'm not a big wing fan but Hooters has several other choices that are REALLY good. The BBQ sandwich is really good and the New England Clam chowder is EXCELLENT!! So to sum it up, Gals grab your man and head on down to Hooters! Horrible experience. Came in with my girl and a friend. Ordered unlimited boneless wings for all of us. We all place our order and waitress brought out bone in wings. I ask if order was a mistake and if she knew we ordered unlimited. They take the bone in back to kitchen which have to be thrown out and then take another 15-20 minutes. We have been sitting down waiting for 30+ minutes and decide we'd rather leave then eat food which has been tampered with. No wonder this restaurant has such a horrible rating. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Came in hot a couple beers, wings and buffalo shrimp. Ordered 3 mile island, they brought out hot. To top it off a cook came out and accused us of being wrong. We brought my sons baseball team in here around 4pm. I understand that we are a larger party, BUT there are only 4 other tables in here and by 6PM people still do not have their food. It toon them FOREVER to get our pitchers of beer for the dads because the young lady behind the counter wasn't old enough to pour beer!!! For the love of Jesus it's hooters! They serve beer!! So I drove 12 hours from Charlotte, NC to this hooter's to watch my college team play in the NCAA tourney. I get inside knowing I have 2 minutes to tip off. I calmly go to a manager to see if he can turn on my game. I sit down, and it's more than 5 minutes before he turns the channel. So I missed the first 3 minutes of the game for starters. Then I observe they don't have any other tv's on the tourney. What else is there?!!!! It's NCAA tourney Saturday!!! If I'm the manager, I divide my 30 tv's and divide them by 4 and have all 4 channels showing the tourney on all 30 tv's BEFORE they start. It's not hard to pre-plan that Yikes. Went there around 6:30 and did not get of there until 8pm due to poor service and low waitress morale. Seemed for the most part no one really was worried about getting us our food. Had to ask for straws, sugar and sauces multiple times. Order fried pickles when we sat down and took over 20 minutes to receive those fried pickles. Ordered our wings after waiting forever to get fried pickles. Took another 20 minutes and after receiving the tasty wings, I went to eat a couple fries and they were hot trash. And by hot trash, I mean they were cold and stale...garbage. So overall this place was a tragedy. I'd rather get in a high speed pursuit and hit spike strips at a 100 mph instead of stepping back in to this poorly managed establishment that almost seemed to be identical to the movie "waiting." read more
