Big O Tires

Big O was great! I had a very bad experience where three tires blew all at different times on my…read moretravel trailer during a trip to Tennessee. I was totally ripped off by a couple of companies that took advantage of my situation of being stuck along interstate 75. It took $1400 but I got 4 new tires and finally made it home after spending 8 hours stranded 3 feet off the interstate. However, after a couple days sitting at my storage place, I discovered that one of the new tires was leaking air. I called Big O and they quickly worked me in. When they checked my tires, they discovered that the previous people had installed 3 passenger car tires rather than trailer tires. Mike the owner of Big O showed me the difference in the strength of the sidewalls and said I was lucky that those passenger tires didn't blow out too! He sold me 3 new TRAILER tires at only $110 each. He and the other employee that I dealt with, Andrew, were very kind and compassionate. This was a big difference that the guy i had dealt with in Tennessee that lied to my wife and I, deceived us, and put us at more risk. Mike and his employees are Christians and their values and morals are high. You can trust them! They will do the right thing and they do truly value customer satisfaction. Feel confident in taking your vehicles to Big O in Brownsburg.

I had my five-year-old with me, and unexpected situations like that can be especially overwhelming for him. After his first-ever tow truck ride, we left our van at Big o Tires to be repaired. When we came back this morning, not only was the tire fixed quickly and professionally, but the kindness we experienced really stood out. The boss went out of his way to give my son a hat, which absolutely made his day. What could have been a scary situation has turned into something he keeps replaying in a positive way! He's been reenacting the whole experience with his Hot Wheels. I'm really grateful for the efficiency, professionalism, and especially the compassion shown to my family. We'll be back!

El Camino Tire Shop

Been a customer of El Camino (Georgetown Road) for a few years. They have great hours and service…read morehad always been top-notch. They always treated me fairly and did not try to rip off customers like other tire places. I had (notice the use of past tense) such positive experiences there that I recommended the store to several other people. Today that all changed...dramatically. I noticed one of my tires was leaking so I went to the shop at about 3:15. I got in right away. I was told that I actually needed two front tires. I agreed to that as well as an alignment and to have the tires balanced. New tires got mounted pretty quickly. Then a worker came and got my keys (actually there was already another set in the car) to do the alignment. Then I waited and waited and waited. Numerous people came in the store, had their vehicle serviced and left. Not me though. I waited, waited and waited some more. Very little communication from the El Camino staff. When I asked what was taking so long, I was told there were people ahead of me and they were "working on it." Then I waited, waited and waited some more. It got to the point that I was virtually the only one left in the waiting room. The staff had to know I was getting upset, yet they did ZERO to address my frustration. Finally, at almost 6 pm, when I had been there nearly 3 hours, I went to the desk and demanded my car back, that I would just pay for whatever work was done, and leave. That apparently sparked them to actually finish the work. I finally got the keys back 10 minutes later. I paid the bill and left. I understand that maybe the work on my vehicle "fell through the cracks" or for some reason was taking longer than expected. That happens in this line of business. But there is no excuse for the lack of communication and the unwillingness to treat a longtime customer without even a modicum of respect. They apparently didn't value my business or care that after such a poor experience I would be unlikely to ever come back and would certainly not recommend it to my friends. I would not recommend this place after what I experienced today.

My son had a slow tire leak and paid $25 to have it repaired here. He was told the issue was fixed,…read morebut just two days later the tire was completely flat. He ended up taking the car to Walmart, where they were able to properly repair the tire. When he contacted El Camino to request a refund for the unsuccessful repair, they refused. That experience was disappointing and concerning, especially since tire repairs directly affect safety. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this business for tire repairs. Instead, I suggest Discount Tire or Belle Tire. They offer free tire repairs when possible and stand behind their work.
