Recently, I wanted a change of scenery from my usual park so I decided to come here early one morning. During the many months of quarantine, I had been enjoying getting fresh air! I like this park since it's not too far away for me. There's plenty of trails to walk and it's not too big where you'd easily get lost! And I'm someone who easily gets lost! They have ample parking. There's a few tennis courts. They have some signs up encouraging people to practice social distancing while exercising!

However I was not greeted, acknowledged, or stopped. I don't know if that's a good thing or bad. I was running late for my daughters bball game so I didn't want to be rushed however; it is the security and safety of the people in the building that concerns me. They need to stop everyone and make them sign in and inquire as to where they are going as well as check ID's. That's what I have had to do at other Rec centers. Otherwise it was nice inside, clean, and several options of things to do. There was a table of snacks before you enter the gym where they sell snacks also.

There was a large picnic space as you enter the park area along with an area with play structures to the right for the little ones. The lake is the centerpiece of the park and the trail goes around it. There were a good number of benches and sitting areas where you could sit and enjoy the view. There were a number of people biking on the trail. The trail was a loop and it was enough distance to get some exercise but not too long that you will get worn out. Everything was green and there were lots of beautiful views. I definitely can see myself coming back here with the entire family.

Every wall has an auto belay making it easy to clip in and out while being safe. There's a wall for all experience levels. There are restrooms, drinking fountains, party rooms, and an arcade. It was a blast and worth the longer drive from Washington, D.C.

There is a daycare, middle school, and an elementary school next to the park so it is always full of children 24/7. There are area for panic and softball fields that organization use. Plenty of trash can around the park to help keep the area clean. Some workout equipment are scatter around the park. Only down side is that there are a lot of geese in the area and they poo a lot on the walking trail.
