The waitress was so kind and her service was great but i have to rate service at one star due to the bartender. I don't understand what or why he was so rude. he spoke in a condescending tone. I didn't know if I should go take a seat or go to the bar I don't frequent there. So I went up to the bar. Why was that an issue? I saw a post about bingo so went to have beer and play. I would never recommend anyone to this establishment because of the bartenders customer service. So rude! read more

Darts, pool, karaoke nights, and good drinks. What more can you ask for. The drinks here that i've gotten have always been consistently good. The food from what me and my friends have had has also been good. The fries here are delicious. The space is decently sized and there is large outside seating area. Great bar in town to hangout with friends and unwind. read more

I had the best mushrooms burger and first here! Crispy fries and the burger was smash perfect. Caramelized mushrooms. Heaven on a brioche bun, with frying sauce of course! And the jams were great! Service was good! You've gotta try it. read more

$5 entry fee but great live music on Sat, super friendly bouncer, got in without any issues. Waiter was attentive and addressed any questions about my party's food. I got the Mac N Cheese with Chicken but didn't know it came with a soup or salad and got full with the soup! Loaded Potato Soup was it is small but since it was flavorful and heavy it filled me up before my entree came! Mac N Cheese was ok. I ordered it with chicken but it was too cheesy for my taste personally but the toast and chicken helped with the cheesiness Update: it wasn't not really worth $21 for a sprite and Mac n cheese ‍ but I stand by my soup critique. I leave it at 4 stars for the service, experience, and Saturday night music read more

Per Fred's comment on my review, if it wasn't a language barrier then why when my cousin tried to explain that he merely TRIPPED on the steps going into the establishment did he say he was intoxicated? Without trying to understand or hear him out? Or having another guard to look at him? Do better hoops, from my favorite place since 2021 to a place I'll never recommend to any friends, family, or visitors. read more

You guys gotta try Hoops Chicken Alfrado! Homemade deliciousness and my favorite! I order it every time I go! We love going to Hoops for thier Paint The Town nights, Stand Up Comedy and ti enjoy live music on thier back patio! Its a vibe for sure! read more

We hadn't been to Hoops for years. We were looking for someplace new for lunch and not overpriced. Wow! We had a great lunch. My spouse had Turkey Bacon Melt with the Seasoned Battered Fries, which were both great. He started with the fries and after the first bite stated "you have to test these". Of course, I did and they were great as being perfectly cooked and flavorful. I had the Hot Dog with cheese, bacon bites and onions which was very good. I substituted a salad for the fries. I might rethink that choice next time as the fries are that good! We'll be back to try more items. And the price was reasonable as it's a Dive Bar. read more

The security guard was checking ID's and asked us if we specifically went to sports center, when we said we went there for ONE drink he told us he wouldn't let us in and told us to go back to sports center because we weren't welcome at hoops! We didn't even do anything wrong, Later on that night, a hoops employee who would rather be at sports center, told us that hoops claims that sports center is their rival, as I see it, hoops is losing customers with that bad attitude. I don't recommend hoops, the security guards are so unprofessional. The only good thing hoops has going for themselves, is having Chris as a bartender! read more

Large space, inside and out. They offer pool and pull tabs. The night we visited wasn't busy, but steady and with only one person serving seemed ok, but pack patience. Drinks were well and as expected. I would return, we didn't eat here, so no comments on food. read more

Hot dog review!!! Yesss! Different combos and great homemade chips.. definitely worth it!!!!

I had lunch with a friend last week. The food and service was great. Sadly I am a reformed smoker and can't tolerate cigarette smoke. I would like to return to your restaurant but can not due to people smoking while I am trying to enjoy my meal. Also there may be a health risk regarding second hand smoke possible spreading COVID 19. Perhaps a designated smoking area away from non smoking customers would be an option. Eve G read more

Drinks are not priced according to the area. The bouncer acts like he owns the place with a crap attitude

This place absolutely sucks. Worst customer service I've ever experienced. The bartender who's name was Stephanie was rude and didn't give me or my friend the time of day. When she was confronted about it she just got even more rude, stumbled on her words and eventually completely ignored us. Not kicking us out but just utterly ignoring us. Almost like she didn't want to have to do her job. This lady Stephanie should be fired and should not work in the customer service industry. They were to quick to conclusions and outright disrespectful. Would not give any customer the time of day guaranteed. read more

Chris is an amazing bartender. he's got creative drinks that are tasty as hell and well priced. very clean bar amd fun. Great pool tables. would recommend 10/10 read more

Stopped in to have lunch. Was very surprised with the redone interior. I had stopped in one time but they had a fire so I came back. Really nice job of remaking the place. Wait staff promptly brought me water and a menu I had the chili cheese dog and clam chowder I know it's a weird combo but was told the clam chowder was great and I wasn't disappointed. Staff checked on me about 5 times after meal was brought over. I would recommend the chili dog next time your in read more

Great live music venue. Best in Yakima. Revised menu post Covid. Cuban sandwich is on point. Classic flavors and everything you would expect. read more

Apparently the owner does not care that his staff over serves customers. Calmly called to talk to him about an issue, out of respect, and he yelled at me and hung up on me. What a real way to run a business. read more

Usually go here every Saturday night and have no issues, last night however my tab is literally 100 dollars more than it's ever been due to the staff allowing people that aren't me or my wife put drinks on our tabs. I don't usually post things like this but when I brought this to the attention of the staff I was met with hostility and rudness all around from the bar outside on the patio. I was not the only person with this same issue on the same night as several of my friends had the same problem. read more

Venue for 50th Birthday Party, and not 1 reason to give less than 5 stars! Very accommodating to our specific needs. Highly trained and competent staff. Excellent customer service and team work done by all. Food was excellent, I didn't hear 1 complaint. Well done Hoops, well done! read more

Awful experience. We waited in line for close to an hour and two women got in a fight which resulted in blood splattering on my friend. The bouncer remained angry and treated our group with much disrespect. Will not return. read more

Attempted to go to Hoops tonight for the first time in a few years for a friends divorce party... boy let me tell you a funny story! We show up an attempt to go inside and are told to wait outside so we step back outside of the door to wait until we can go inside, we continue to wait about 2-4 minutes mind you it's cold outside. No sooner then he tells us that we can come inside he tells us that unfortunately he won't be able to allow us inside tonight because my husband who most of you who know him know that he doesn't drink looks "extremely intoxicated". We all three of us dumbfounded by this guys words ask him to repeat himself.... An he sticks by it! I know they are allowed to refuse service but if you are going to do it make sure it's a valid reason because the one he used was low key B***S***!!!!! Sorry if you have any parties or a get together there in the future I will not be giving any of my money to that establishment. Would be a 0* if possible. read more

I have spent a lot of time and money at hoops. They have always been one of my favorite bars in Yakima until tonight. While waiting in line, a fight broke out which resulted in blood being splattered on my friend. Upon reaching the door, I was treated with extreme disrespect from the bouncer even though it was unwarranted. Unfortunately I will not be returning. Very disappointed. read more

DONT GO HERE! Watched 4 people fist fight; asked a bouncer what was happening and was tossed out by the collar told to never come back

Bouncer with neck tattoos didn't let my friend in after us waiting over 20 minutes and only once we got to the front of the line, and he let over 15 people out, waiting by the door every 2 minutes smirking at us and did not let us in. Then continued to tell us that we couldn't get in because my friend had a buddy the elf costume on and "made him look intoxicated." Though he was standing still the whole time. read more

Was invited to attend by family to see my nieces husbands band play. They were told an amount they would be paid and at the end of the night they were not even paid half of that. Several attempt were made to the owner and no response. This is so unprofessional and unethical. And on top of that, some staff members are rude. Awful experience for my first time. Will not be returning. read more

Got kicked out for literally doing nothing, was not drunk and had one drink playing darts, bartender's are crazy that bar used to be good but not no more!!! You can tell it's going down there's hardly ever anyone in there anymore, I'm sure you can thank the bartender for that!!! read more

Best drinks in town and the best prices. Music during the summer is pretty good too, with the best outdoor patio in town. Karaoke on Thursday and Sunday. Awesome big screen for the games and an updated sound system. Good pool tables and pull tabs for those who like to gamble. read more

I'm very disappointed with this place and how it's ran. First of all it's way too small! They think It's okay to kick paying customers out when they reach capacity which is not only humiliating and immoral it's just bad business. We have gone here off and on, nice place, nice bartender and good food. The tap beer is not cold, complained guess the owner does not care. Will probably not make it a regular stop unless I want a warm beer read more

Like this place. Would have gave it more stars but the beer on tap needs to be colder and it has been suggested but no difference yet.
