When it comes to getting teams and schedules sorted out they always make sure everyone is on the same page which is definitely a plus. However, they don't encourage booze during games - because we play in city parks and it's against city regulations, I know they can't really do anything about it. But beer sure does make games more fun! On the contrary, the DSSC sponsors other social-oriented activities (such as the beer olympics, pub crawls, happy hours, etc) so I know they're not COMPLETELY against booze. But another downside, their refs never seem to be happy to be at a game. Sometimes they have NO sense of humor which makes playing no fun at all! I also wish they had a national competition to strive for (WAKA has one in Las Vegas, for example), although we'd probably never make it that far. But a girl can dream, right?!

I explained that our team couldn't move to another day and requested a full refund. The league no longer appears on my dashboard, and I haven't received a response to my refund request despite following up by email and phone. This is a lot of money to leave a customer chasing down for a league you couldn't provide. Canceling a league due to low registration is understandable. Failing to communicate or resolve the refund afterward is unacceptable. I'm still waiting for my $825 refund and will update this review when it's resolved.

It happens every season where if it rains on a Wednesday or Thursday, most likely, the whole weekend is canceled. That is ridiculous! What needs to be done to get the fields fixed?

My child plays here and the experience has been very good. Her skills have increased and I feel the coaches here care about her outcome. There were temporarily located in Richardson, but have since moved to their permanent location in Carrollton. The facility is huge and it's nice to finally have a volleyball home with the team name. Club Volleyball isn't like recreational volleyball in the sense that there is more of an urgency to win; that being said, it's great preparation for the real world of sports, be it middle school, High School or College level. There are a lot of clubs out there, we choose Excel because we feel the coaches take the responsibility of training our children personally.

Just as customers have every right to decide where their money goes. For those familiar with my reviews, you already know I don't exaggerate or sugarcoat. So here it is, plainly: if you're not YT or conveniently lacking melanin, save yourself the time and humiliation and don't bother coming here. I brought my beautiful Black family of five, and we didn't even make it 45 seconds. The moment we stepped inside, we were aggressively met by a woman whose first instinct was to bark a list of rules, everything we couldn't do, without a greeting, without courtesy, and with all the stank attitude, we got the point - we are not welcome here. And that's fine. Say it. Own it. We would've respected honesty... but don't waste our time with the BS.

The place needs a complete gutted renovation and looks like at any minute, all the walls are going to cave in. No one ever answers the phone and no one ever knows about organized sports teams. Voice mail doesn't get answered either. Apparently this is like a mall with independent vendors or something. This summer, the straw that broke the camel's back for me was when they decided to lock exit doors in the rear of the building, which is where I entered, but could not exit because they were chained. The only way out was through the front door. Other doors to get out of the building are not clearly marked or are blocked. This is a disaster waiting to happen. Another straw that broke the camel's back was a referee who wore a pair of shorts with the acronym IDGAF on the pant leg. I was appalled that he thought it was OK to wear such to a children's sporting event; and I was also appalled that the facility staff allowed it and clearly just about allows anything. It must be the cheapest place in town for basketball leagues.
