It's your typical college fitness center. I think they have seven basketball courts and one indoor…read moresoccer court all on the first floor. Above that is indoor track that runs around the whole space. You have to go downstairs to find weightlifting floor. I was expecting a light and fresh place, similar to Equinox. Instead, the walls are a light beige, making it seem kind of muddy, and the light is a little yellowish too. I was also a little surprised that they didn't have more squat racks (four). Although the number that they have for here is more than adequate I guess. They also have two Olympic lifting platforms which, interestingly enough, were being used all the time when I was there. It's nice to see people doing Olympic lifts, I used to think no one ever knew about them. Lockers Non-descript. The type where you bring your own lock, though most of the lockers are not day lockers but people's personal lockers. The showers seemed decent. Also, it seems one of the sinks was having issues, have no idea how long that had been going on but they way it was talked about seemed like it had been that way for a while.

Wow, this place is great! Super clean, super new, super cool :) The basketball courts are magnets…read morefor students wanting to start pick up games, and the rock climbing wall nearby looks like a lot of fun as well. They also have lines of cardio equipment, so you don't have to fret about not having one~ The swimming pool has a few lap lanes, a family wading pool, and an outdoor section with beach chairs as well. The area is pretty popular, so be prepared to circle swim ^^b kickboards and buoys are provided in a corner~ If you're not a student, then it's $10 per visitor for a day pass at the front desk. You can buy 10 passes for a slightly discounted price. I wish my university or current school had/has a student center as awesome as this one! The visitor pricing is a little steep for me for a single visit, but for students, this gem is free (sans tuition). Definitely don't miss an opportunity to stop by once!

I've been going to this park for over 54 years. It is still as beautiful now as it was back then…read more It is an easy 7.5 mile walk from the house or 9 miles if I stick to the formal trails. My last three trips were for this year's Memorial Day activities in support of Carry the Load. This park comes to a new life when there is a large event such as the very noble Carry the Load. Reverchon's beautiful greenery, powerful oaks and gentle rolling meadows are accented with the dark reddish sandstone walls and structures that soothes the soul. It is almost like a slice of Eden.To see this impressive park comfort those grieving as they remember the fallen military, police, fire and other first responders validates its role as a magnanimous friend. It fosters the catharsis and healing needed by many. The trip up and down from the Katy trail (which is high above) can be as challenging as you want to achieve and as beautiful as you want to view. I like the winding stone steps. There are observation terraces, conversation pits, and nature everywhere. It is shielded by quiet Dallas high rises just far enough away. The quiet serenity at night is in contrast to its vibrant life during the day. It retains the natural attraction whether it is a hand full of park goers to over ten thousand. It's great for the dogs, kids and oldtimers like me. There are some sport facilities for the team sport athletes. And of course there are the trails. There is a lack of immediate parking which I think helps retain its natural beauty . There are lots and streets to park if you decide not to go on foot. The adjoining recreation center has all you could want or need. The food and drink options are not too far away and some are world renown. If you need mental cleansing or some quiet reflection, Reverchon Park is the place to stroll.

I haven't noticed excessive issues with litter but I've been multiple times and they take really really good care of the landscaping. I appreciate that!
