Couldn't recommend District Wellness and Dr. Hamidi enough. I've had lingering disc issues at L5-S1 for close to a decade and while we weren't able to "fix" anything, he's been able to provide a decent bit of relief which was all I had hoped for. I've (unfortunately) been to plenty of chiropractors and the majority of them feel ancient - musty smells, cracked leather adjustment tables, and a treatment plan that hasn't changed much from the 90's. Dr. Hamidi is a young, athletic guy and he knows the intricacies of the body in and out and invests in the newest, cutting edge equipment to get you better. It was such a relief to see a copy of Supple Leopard on his bookshelf (basically the bible for resolving pain, preventing Injury, and optimizing performance) and have my tight hamstrings treated with the newest Hyperice Hypervolt massage gun. Dr. Hamidi is unlike other chiros I've seen in that he's the least bit pushy; he outlines what he thinks will help but he's not pressuring you into signing up for three visits a week for six months. Shady business practices. Their online booking request form includes weekend appointments. My husband and I thought we booked two Saturday morning appointments. We were then bombarded with texts and phone calls asking us to pay in advance to receive a discounted rate. We called the day before our appointments to confirm the time and were informed that they do not have any weekend appointments available for the foreseeable future, despite the fact that they advertise weekend appointments on their website and had sent us dozens of text messages urging us to pay in advance of an appointment we had supposedly booked. He was able to treat the pain quickly but what I was more pleased with was that he walked me through the underlying root cause and gave me a few at-home treatment techniques. I went to see Dr. Hamidi to try and reduce pain from a herniated disc at L2-3. Before I made my first appointment I called to ask the receptionist if District Wellness accepted Medicare. She said they did and I began treatments. I went there 2x/week for several months and experienced some small but not material improvement. The treatment regiment was the same during each visit: 10 minutes on an automatic roller followed by 15-20 minutes of physical manipulation by Dr. Hamidi and then 3-4 "drops" on the chiro table. I like Dr. Hamidi and am sure his treatments may be helpful for some. Unfortunately, they weren't for me and I recently had surgery to repair the herniated disc. I was surprised Dr. Hamidi did not look at the MRI or xray images I brought to our initial meeting as he might have determined (as specialists later did) that chiropractic treatment would not resolve my herniated disc. I was also surprised to receive a bill for $442 from his office. I was told by his billing person that Medicare had denied payment for much of my treatment. I called Medicare and found out that certain chiropractic services are NOT covered by Medicare, no matter the reason. This was a disappointing surprise given what I believed from talking with his staff person. I hope this may be helpful to others with issues to mine and those who may be on Medicare. read more
