I'm surprised I've never reviewed Hooligans! We've come here a lot over the years, it's one of our family's favorite spots! I forgot to take a picture of the painted front entrance, but it's colorful and eye catching in this older shopping center in Alabaster. When you go in, you purchase wristbands at the counter and have unlimited free play for the day. They also offer monthly memberships for $60. The space is dark, the better for highlighting the black light murals that cover each wall. The room is full of a huge variety of games-from classics like PAC-man and old timey pinball machines, they truly have something for everyone! They also have a party area in the back that you can reserve for a decent price! There was a birthday party going on the day we went. They also have a bar area now, with a wide selection of beers, ciders, wines, and seltzers, plus soft drinks and Gatorade. They also serve snacks like nachos, hot dogs, and more. We always love coming here because the owners are always friendly and personable. I'm glad I've been able to see this locally owned business continue to grow and thrive.

Hooligans is getting a face lift and we love it! I forgot to get a picture of the exterior, but it's very eye catching. They have painted the interior walls with popular cartoon characters. They also added black lights. The place glows! The biggest change was removing the putt putt golf. I think it was a great idea. They've added about 40 more games and sitting area. They are also creating a bar area. We hosted a birthday party there. The price was very reasonable for 12 arm bands, 2-hour party section, t-shirt, and party supplies. As usual the armband was good for play all day. If you haven't been in a while, check it out.

SO fun. Retro games, modern games, snacks, bar, all-you-can-play for one price. It's a great deal, and the owners are very nice.

Neon Putt putt under black lights. 8 holes.

So fun. Lots of pinball and vintage arcade games. We had an impromptu surprise birthday 'party' for my 11 year old and he was in heaven.

$12 for unlimited arcade games is the deal of a lifetime. Not to mention they also have beer, what else can you ask for?

Our manager paid for us to play 60 minutes. Before we went, we had to complete a waiver online and choose our game name. There were restrooms inside where you could change clothes (cause I heard if you are competitive, you would sweat a lot). They also have lockers - activated by a wrist key fob - so you could put your purse and keys somewhere safe. It's a dark area full of arcade rooms (maybe about 10 or 12 rooms in total). Each room has several games from which you can choose to play. Our group of 12 people were split into 3 teams of 4. The front desk attendant gave us all a wrist fob that we had to activate with our game account. The attendant explained how to play. Choose the game, all players scan their fob, then wait until the current team playing in the room exits before you go in. Scores are based on how well you do. If there is no one waiting outside the room after the game completes, you can move to the next level and continue playing. My team's first couple of games went so wrong and we questioned ourselves and our lives many times while playing. However, we got the hang of it and enjoyed ourselves so much! My favorite game was in the "Grid" room, where they called a color and the team had 5 seconds to get to a space with that color. So fun! If you are looking for a fun place to "be a kid again", this is the place to go!

The highlights of the day were laser tag and go karts; next time I think I would also like to maybe check out the bowling. I love arcades in general so this is definitely a place I will be visiting again. Facilities: I wish they had more to offer for children under 4. As well as maybe just overall a larger arcade area. Also in laser tag they need to have it marked I actually tripped and fell when going up the ramp. Atmosphere: Definitely family friendly Crowd: Not overly crowded able to enjoy everything

Big-Time Entertainment has amazing staff, but the pricing and game quality are way too expensive…read more The cost per play is sky-high, and credits vanish fast on short, low-quality games. It's significantly more expensive than Dave & Buster's, which offers much better value and promotions. Compounding this, many games are constantly broken or malfunctioning, which is unacceptable at these premium rates. Even buying credits is frustrating; the kiosks only highlight rigid options like $10 for 80 credits instead of displaying a full, transparent price list so families can budget effectively. Management should introduce half-price Wednesdays and a summer season pass to provide better value. The best part is definitely the workers--they are incredibly kind and accommodating to guests with vision loss. However, placing the best prizes, like the big colorful balls, exclusively inside visual claw machines excludes blind students. They waste money on games they can't equitably play. Thanks to the staff's sided help, I was able to get one, but these items should be redeemable via tickets at the counter so everyone has a fair shot. The great staff deserves a venue with a fairer, more accessible pricing model.

My friends and I played some pool, had some drinks and then decided to leave. Before leaving, my best friend and I decided to go to the ladies room. Upon discovering that all bathrooms save one were full, we elected to go into the single available bathroom together. I will at this point acknowledge that there was a sign on the bathroom door that said "one person at a time" that we did not see initially. After entering the bathroom, but after I had disrobed to the point necessary to use the bathroom, we heard someone BEATING on the door saying only one person allowed at a time. We explained through the door that one of us was in the process of using the bathroom, and that we would be out shortly. The banging on the door continued, and, when I stated that I was mostly naked (to use the bathroom) this person returned "I bet you are." Once we were finished using the bathroom, this person ( a man who was identified as one of the owners by a friend, but not confirmed as such by me) aggressively confronted us about the bathroom policy, sayin we would be kicked out. I told him I was about to leave anyway, and that we'd only decided to go into the bathroom together once the other bathrooms were deemed full, and that, further, it was more efficient to use the bathrooms in pairs, where one person used it, while another washed their hands. He was not receptive to this feedback and further pointed to the sign. Upon walking away, the women he was with even stated that I was "such a b*tch", to which he did nothing. If this was an owner, I am appalled at the treatment of a patron. Had this been handled differently, I would have gladly offered an explanation and apology. Further, if this owner allowed his guest/date to insult me loudly across the bar, it makes me wonder what else they allow. If this is someone not affiliated with the bar, which, based on the passion of the affront, I doubt, I encourage the bar to better police their patrons, as this encounter made me feel very unsafe. I won't be back.

This is by far the WORST dining experience I've ever had. And I mean that wholeheartedly. I've…read morenever experienced anything like it. Management is non existent when it comes to helping servers. We waited 30 minutes for a table, which was clearly because they were short staffed. Okay fine, no problem. If we have to wait so she can get caught up and we can get good service, that was fine. But it wasn't. The server was so overwhelmed because she was in charge of every single table in the establishment. At one time, she had 14 different tables going on. At no point did the manager think to hop in and start taking drink orders, food orders, anything. Which is SHOCKING to me. You're there to help your team when there are issues. Get your hands dirty or find another line of work. Half of our group ordered, and then our server went to check on other tables (clearly our mistake telling her to check on her other tables - because we could see she was overwhelmed and we were a group of 15). It was a true 30 minutes before food came out and the other half of our group was then able to begin ordering their meals. The food came out for the second round of orders (which should have all been done together), but we were still missing 2 meals from the first group. We waited 90 minutes from the time of ordering to get the final 2 meals. I truly wish I was joking. The manager came over the THIRD TIME after telling us the food was coming to say "when I put those orders in, there was like 20 tickets ahead of it, that's why it's taking so long." As someone that's worked in restaurant my entire life, ON THE FLY MEANS ON THE FLY. Not after you finish the other tickets. She took zero responsibility for the situation, lied and gave our group the compete run around for 30 minutes. To be clear, the missing orders were a QUESADILLA and a PHILLY CHEESESTEAK. Not some outrageous order. The server somehow didn't ring them in to begin with (which is so weird because they literally have tablets on them for placing orders). But the manager assured us on TWO different occasions that they were coming. It was only on the third visit, we were met with this excuse. Our server began crying at the POS system after another (I think?) manager came over to her telling her we'd been waiting for our checks for 20 minutes. A dad from our group just went over and paid for the entire check on his own because we had been seated since 7:00pm and it was now 10:00pm. We were sat for 3 hours and felt held hostage to try and just leave. I still can't wrap my head around it. This is so clearly an absolute failure in management. If you're short staffed, you pick up and help. There was zero apology, just a few "power up" cards passed to us and a comp on the two 90 minute wait food dishes (uh, yeah, duh). As if we'd have any interest in spending another second there. I kept joking that if there ever was a time for someone to come in and do an undercover boss episode, this is the location. To do it so you can see how hard your business is failing. Your management is the worst I've ever seen. I oversee 15 restaurants throughout the state of Florida and I can absolutely assure you, if this was happening in one of my stores, it would be an immediate termination from my management. She never once showed sorrow for what was happening. She was defensive and argumentative when met with any type of frustration from us. This is hands down the worst experience I've ever had. If you go to Dave & Busters, whatever you do, DO NOT SIT DOWN AND ORDER FOOD. Just grab a drink at the bar and play some games. No need to to reply to this publicly and try to save face, I'll be sharing my experience on every other review site and reaching out to corporate about this. Take your L on this one, learn from it, and do better. Because this was horrid, and as a business you should be so embarrassed at the entire guest experience.

Let's start with the positives: the drinks were great, the happy hour prices were solid, and the bartenders were excellent. However, everything else was a major disappointment. The front desk staff were unpleasant right from the start, and the pricing system is incredibly convoluted. I was expecting to pay $72 based on what I was told, but I was ultimately charged almost $90. I received no receipt and absolutely no explanation for the upcharge. Once we got to the floor, the staff were incredibly unfriendly. We tried to play the Human Crane game, but there were no clear instructions on how to pay for it, and the floor staff were just flat-out rude when we asked for help. This place feels like it was originally designed and priced for adults, but it now caters almost entirely to children. Between the unexplained overcharges and the poor customer service, I definitely do not recommend it.
