We went to celebrate a birthday and the experience was fine. It definitely would be more fun at night. I will say the bathrooms and table areas as well as the courses were super clean but the price is pretty steep for what you get. Like everyone else said, the courses are pretty much identical and yes you get unlimited play but who wants to go through again? it's a pretty small area. Also the fact that there's barely any shade anywhere is insane to me. My biggest complaint was the food and the happy hour. We got nachos and we asked for sour cream on the side. It was literally liquid. Like a cup of milk I'm not exaggerating. I went back down to explain and ask for a different one and was met with blank stares and no words. She just walked off then brought back an identical cup of liquid cream.... Again no words. It would have been fine if she had said "it looks like this one is pretty liquidy as well. Sorry about that not sure what's going on with the sour cream" or "actually our sour cream is more like a crema". Instead I just had to wait to be brought back the exact same consistency of sour cream. Just very weird. Mind you we are the only ones there eating at this time. There are maybe two other couples playing on the course so it's not like it was busy. We went on a Tuesday afternoon. As we played, on the screen they advertised a happy hour Mondays-Thursday 3:00-6:00. It was Tuesday at 3:05. We tried to order said happy hour just to be met yet again with blank stares and then after they went to the back then came back to the front, we were told that's not available at college town locations .... The idea is fantastic - pay one price to enter and play as many games of mini-golf as you'd like, have drinks delivered in 90 seconds to your hole, hang out and play cornhole and Jenga and ping pong. Love that they do leagues, love that the beers were cheap, love that they offer a membership and love that the bathrooms were clean. The negatives? For one, the price is wild. $25 per adult, $15 per kid. A family of 4 is paying $80 for mini-golf JUST to walk in the door. Also, I wish the two courses varied. They were basically identical - little replicas of actual golf holes - but they had no personality. Would have loved if one course was "real" golf and the other was traditional mini-golf with loop de loops, obstacles, etc. read more

My family and I heard about PopStroke and finally decided to stop by. It is kid and adult friendly. The areas were clean and tidy and the staff were pretty friendly. I did notice on this hot summer day, they provided huge fans in the seating area. They have an area where there is a bar and you can order drinks and food. That area also has a variety games such as tic tac toe, connect 4, foosball, and ping pong, cornhole. They also have TVs too. The drinks were just subpar. They actually messed up and gave us the wrong drink, but they didn't offer to comp us or fix it. We also wanted to order food, but we were told the kitchen was closed at 6:45 pm. We asked what time does the kitchen actually close and we were told 8 pm, but they tend to shut it down early. That didn't make a lot of sense to me. We also saw there was a private party going on upstairs where more food was being brought out for them so therefore, the kitchen was technically still open. No worries, we patronized the restaurant next door and ordered food. A couple of things to note, they do not accept cash. Everything and I mean everything has to be paid through a QR Code. At times nothing is necessarily wrong with that, but for elderly customers, it may take awhile for them to order. Luckily, there were no lines so therefore was no rush on ordering. They do have a small ice cream shop, but it's at the entrance, which was a little different to have it there instead of having near the food area. We noticed when the staff member was preparing our ice cream float, that some of her hair touched the silver ice cream cup and even after letting her know, she didn't offer to make us another float. All in all, decent business even though it is somewhat pricey but even after it's been open for a year, I think it needs some tweaking. read more

We've been talking about making our way to Tuscaloosa to go to Pop Stroke (from Birmingham) for over a year... I don't think we'll be back. 1 - the menu is hard to find on the Pop Stroke website and when we got there there was no dry seating (it had been sprinkling in the morning) and was definitely a bar with food rather than a restaurant 2 - the only option is to purchase a full-day-pass, which gives you access to both of the 18-hole mini golf courses from whenever you start to 11pm when they close. It was cold, windy and wet. We weren't going to stay "all day" and would have definitely benefited to a single course pass or a "rainy day discount", but neither are available. 3 - the blue and black courses are virtually the same. They don't have any whimsical "traditional" touches and the courses are close to identical. 4 - the guy who sold us our passes and handed us our balls (which you get to keep, nice touch) was nice but we were rather insulted that we were asked to leave a tip. I mean, selling us tickets isn't a service oriented role that should be tip eligible. read more

We were so excited to travel from Bham to come try this place out, but we were very disappointed. The prices are set for you to be able to play as much as you want for the day (which is nice in theory), but the courses tend to back up a lot so playing one 18 hole course took us nearly an 1.5 hours. We didn't even try the other course because we didn't really enjoy the black course, it was just boring and every hole seemed the same. The workers were all nice which is a positive. Plus the music was great. Unfortunately those are the only two positive things I can say about our experience. Such a neat place! I probably like it more than top golf because it's cheaper, more than just putt putt to do and you can do the courses as much as you'd like all DAY! Staff will bring your drinks and food to you on the course, has multiple corn hole and ping pong tables set up on the turf area, and the entire place is built out of containers! Very neat! read more

I have to say, after looking at the other reviews, I'm scared to go back! But my experience here was 5 stars. The course is very nice, I hope it stays like this. Also, all the staff were very nice and professional. The food was good, and you ordered through their app. The prices aren't terrible here. Although, the deserts are pretty pricey. $12.00 is too much, too much, no matter how nice it looks. My one suggestion would be to have designated areas to wait on drinks. The college kids seem to get a little confused. The ones I saw thought that you had to literally stand over the hole for the servers to find them. But otherwise, it is very enjoyable. read more

This is a great addition to Tuscaloosa! There's 2 mini golf courses, a bar, and a restaurant. The food is really good as well! I had the SEC Smashburger and onion straws which were so yummy. They also have different yard games in the Biergarten area like ping pong and cornhole. The courses are super fun, especially if you're competitive like my friends and I are. Danny is an amazing server who has served everyone well, and has excellent feedback for those who recently visited Tuscaloosa. The atmosphere seemed very welcoming and entertaining for those who were new to visiting the recently opened site, the food was top-notch Traditional American which all of our peers loved, and considering it was discount night for college students, the prices were striking and affordable. First time visiting and I only went because I was invited by friends. I ordered my daughter some mozzarella sticks and the cashier got a an attitude when I asked to add a drink...20 mins had gone by and we had not received the food. This was a slow Tuesday night...Food was brought to everyone in our group but still no mozzarella sticks for my daughter. I ask for a refund and the Manager was nice about it and had no problem giving me a refund. All of the staff were nice except the cashier that took my order. This is a nice chill place and I would hate to see rude staff members keep people away. read more

Not sure what to make of this place. $25 plus tip is fairly expensive for miniature golf but you do get unlimited play. There is not a lot of variation between the two courses or even really between the holes. Could use some more shade in the main sitting area and even some out on the course. read more
