The rooms were spotless and beautifully decorated with a relaxing green theme that gave off a warm, rustic vibe. The food was absolutely fantastic -- every meal was fresh, hearty, and full of flavor. After long days on the water, it hit the spot every time. What really made the lodge special were the fire pits scattered around the property. There was always a cozy spot to hang out, swap stories, and unwind. And with enough wood to burn for weeks, the fire never stopped! The Cannery Lodge made our trip unforgettable, and we'll definitely be back next year. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic and comfortable Alaskan getaway.

If you are considering booking your wedding here you should expect too pay a couple hundred more than they tell you initially , also there is a ton of random furniture that they are not willing to move , our solution was to rent a movie theater curtain and hang it with scaffolding cutting off about 10 ft of the room, and than moved all the furniture behind it. We than put the head table and front and it ended up looking better than if we had not. Overall I would give 2 stars , for lack of communication on their part, because we were told many different on many things by different employees on what time we could get there to set up , if we could move the furniture out , and the random sum of charges that weren't mentioned until after our event The furniture problem cause a big set back the morning of our wedding so I hope our solution helps you (: I would however give 5 stars for beauty in the end , because with enough work , communication and decorating it can be a very lovely venue

The family moved to Alaska in 1968. By 1976 two lots were purchased in downtown Kenai and the family took on the construction project to build a big home. When five years later Irene found herself an empty-nester there came the B&B idea, Irene's Lodge was founded and is now celebrating over 30 years in business as the first B&B open on the Kenai Peninsula. With our love of the outdoors came the idea to start Alaska Guides. Fishing for salmon in the Kenai River was what the family had done every summer. Guide fishing along with guests staying at the B&B was a perfect fit. Hundreds of guests have come and stayed at Irene's Lodge many of whom do repeat visits. Irene's Lodge B&B is only open three months of the year. June through August is our visitor season. These three months are the most beautiful time of the year with long day light hours. The B&B location is perfect for setting up as your home base - go fishing or join one of our many day trip adventures. There are so many interesting things to do and see on the Kenai Peninsula that there is sure to be an adventure day for everyone. You don't need, however, to get past even one to grasp just how special Tower Rock Lodge is. I find it difficult to contribute anything new to the accolades they've already received, and though tempted to do so, will not plagiarize the eloquently written words of those who precede me. All people/things have faults, and many people would lump service industry businesses in with businesses that tend to have more than their fair share. When it comes to Tower Rock Lodge, however, as hard as I've tried throughout my experience with them to find even one, I've not been successful...but will update this review if/when I am. Don't hold your breath. I'm a firm believer in the notion that "if something seems too good to be true, it probably is", and I'll avoid it like the plague. Tower Rock Lodge is one of the rare exceptions to this notion. It is truly good. So, not to waste any more of your valuable time, I'll cease to ramble and let you get on with booking them for your next Alaskan fishing adventure. You will be, as the rest of us here are, elated you did. Any best wishes I could extend pertaining to your real adventure, will be realized when you book with Tower Rock Lodge. Simply put, they are the best!

I knew he would never do it for himself and if we didn't do it soon, we may never actually get to it. There are a lot of choices out there. After narrowing it down to three, I called and left voicemail's asking for more info. Not only was Jimmie Jack's the first to call back, but they actually sounded like they cared. I talked to Kevin and asked about every cliched question I could think of. He took the time to walk me through everything and made sure I knew this was the right fit. The next day I booked the "Signature Seven" package and the excitement started to grow. Without getting in to a ridiculous amount of detail, I just want to put in emphasis on how great this place is. Everything was taken care of for us. We were booked on all the right types of trips. Directions to boats were given. The staff [EVERYONE!] was incredible and friendly in the most genuine of ways. From Captain Charlie and Cooper, making sure we got to the right spots to get my Dad a 60# Halibut, Captain Dan taking the time to teach me proper technique to catch more fish than anyone else on the boat out in Homer, Jo and Scott taking the time to work through rain and cold to try and get us our King Salmon limits, and last, but not least, Tony literally getting hooked in the face by some random dude in our group, but keeping a positive attitude and teaching us all how to slay the Sockeye. They were all total badasses! They worked hard to make sure we had the best time out on the water we could have and on a trip like this, with the smiles and memories we got to carry home with us, let alone like 300# of fish, they deserve more praise than I could ever give them. Finally, deserving her own special paragraph, there was Phyllis. The "Lodge Mama," keeping us well fed and caffeinated every morning, Phyllis was the kind of person that immediately makes an impact on you and is someone you know you are going to miss before you even leave. She'd greet you with a smile and a hug in the morning and she went above and beyond what her position called for to make sure you knew you were making a genuine connection with someone that really cared about your well-being and wanted to know the real you. She described our encounters as divine intervention, and while some may scoff at such a fleeting moment, I truly feel blessed to have had her in my life for the 7 days. Crazy as it may be to believe, even after only a week, it was hard to say goodbye. She made this trip more special by just being herself and if you are lucky enough to ever meet her, cherish that moment. It will not be one you soon forget or ever take for granted. Are there cheaper trips out there? Of course there are. Could you arrange all the trips we went out on, on your own? Undoubtedly. Could you find your own lodging? Definitely. Should you though? No way. If you are going up North for your first time and you want all the little things worked out for you in the most streamlined and convenient way possible, this is the place to be. Plus, you get to meet the best people throughout the process! You can't put a price-tag on that. Do yourself a favor and call Jimmie Jack's today. I promise you that you not regret it.
