Weekly and Monthly events, friendly staff, a lively community, just some of the many reasons I personally consider Gamer's Haven to be my favorite third space. I've been coming there since 2021, first entered the store during a flesh and blood tournament to pre-order the newest edition of killteam to begin my war gaming journey, and the haven has been there with me every step of the way. I've made new friendships, epic and hilarious stories, and countless of poor financial decisions that I wouldn't take back just because it helped kept the lights on. Do be warned, the previous owner had a "No-Wotc" products policy for reasons too long to explain here, and the newer owners decided to keep it, so if you're looking for D&D or MTG, you won't find it here. Personally, the store doesn't need WOTC anyway. Because of this policy, they've expanded out to different TCGs such as Flesh and Blood, Lorcana, Riftbound, and Uni-Versus. There is also a lively wargaming scene featuring, of course, Warhammer and other GW games, but also Bolt Action, Konflict '47, and Moonstone. There unfortunately isn't much of an RPG scene there at the moment, but private rooms are available to use, and there are groups who regularly meet at the haven for RPG nights. And of course, there is a healthy selection of board games available and a weekly board game meet up in case you need people to play with. Whatever reason you have to escape from reality into the realm of tabletop, the haven has an open spot for you.

I am not a "gamer" and know very little about these things. My son is beginning to play and is interested in looking around. The owner was there, and he was wonderful! So friendly, personable and gave us all kinds of advice, suggestions and gave us the run-down of how the place held game nights. The place was very clean and there was a lot of pride in how he cared for the store. We are already looking at our schedules so that my son can attend a night where they teach you how to play a new game. Thankful that we stopped in and now looking forward to becoming regular customers.

I believed they opened their store in November 2025. My friend Christina and I stopped by in mid-March 2026 to browse books as we waited for our dinner reservation next door at Amba. BOOKS/OTHER -- There are 2 levels of books to browse with the upstairs filled with used books and downstairs containing new books. I bought two used books for $6 each - one is titled Disgrace and the other is titled Sapiens: A brief history of humankind. I haven't read these 2 books yet but I am excited to later this year. Besides books, I noticed other items for sale such as some cute handbags (small tote bags with jewelry or charms on them) and t-shirts. FANTASY/SCIENCE FICTION -- They offer a wide selection of fantasy and sci-fi books which my friend Christina appreciated which is her genre. I don't read fantasy or science fiction books so I can't comment on that but I did notice some Andy Weir books on the shelf, including, Project Hail Mary, which I only know about because of the movie that was recently released. SERVICE (5/5) -- Top notch service. My friend and I were greeted upon walking into the bookstore by the owner, Craig, who was very nice and helpful. While they don't seem to have a large selection of non-fantasy and sci-if books, I still recommend visiting this bookstore if you enjoy reading, want to explore a new genre such as fantasy, or are just in the area and need something to do. I certainly will be back to browse more books. **** GOAL of 250 reviews in 2026 - 16/250 total reviews in 2026 - 857 total Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 13 April 2026

It was across the street and kept pointing to another street which I found out it's been there for 6 months so the directions might need to be updated. I enjoyed my first visit to Doki Doki Kawaii Shop in early May 2026. A friend had invited me a few hours before she was heading out there so I gladly met her there. The shop has plenty of Asian inspired things. I saw a bunch of manga comic books, Pokémon items, Japanese stationery items (notebooks, highlighters, pens, etc), plushy toys, keychains, etc. I bought a cute 100-day notebook that was light green on the outside. It can be used as a planner or a diary. I can't wait to delve into it and maybe use it to track a goal or two for 2026. The store employee was friendly when I walked in and answered some questions that I had. I wish they sold more stationery items. They had a limited supply of planners and notebooks of different varieties. I will definitely visit again to browse more Japanese stationery. **** GOAL of 250 reviews in 2026 - 74/250 total reviews in 2026 - 915 total Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 11 May 2026

Trip Review : Carol and John's Comic Shop. Carol and John's Comic Book Shop…read more I don't think anyone would argue that this shop is a prime example of everyone's favorite friendly-neighborhood comic shop. John and crew make this shop accessible to all ages. They have their layout dialed in, their social media dialed in, their special events dialed in and exciting and their books and pricing dialed in so all collectors can enjoy. New books weekly with some cool Facebook intros. A stellar shop cat, Winston, who actually runs things. ( it's a his shop and he actually let's us all enjoy it.) Their back issues are on sale, they have some neat manga titles and families will like the kid's area. They have supplies and probably the largest dual wall of Graphic Novels in Northeast Ohio. I don't think a review can capture the lighting in a bottle that is Carol and John's. Follow them on Facebook and see them May 4th for the largest Free comic day in N.E. Ohio.

I have been to the shop multiple times and there is always a new selection of items. Plus each maker has cards and information to contact them if you would like a custom order. Some of my favorite things I have seen are the freeze dried candy, unique shirts and items for kids to use and color again and again from cups to shirts. Great place to check out if you want something different.

I have a love/hate relationship with OverDrive. On one hand, it's provides an exceptional service…read more-- that is literally bringing the local library to you. And in a lot of libraries, the user-base for OverDrive is going up, so the number of digital books is starting to outnumber the number of physical actual books. On the other hand, I don't know if it's OverDrive or the actual library (because the libraries have their own individual sub-sites from OverDrive) but the interface is terrible. Half the time it doesn't work or load all the way. Right now, I'm currently being greeted with an Error 500 that refuses to allow me to see my holds/loans. Previously there was an issue even getting the sub-site to load, so I ended up downloading Chrome and it worked for all of a week or two and here we are. Also, if you're a long-term OverDrive user and you signed up with a physical library card, there should be a way to store these within the account. When I downloaded Chrome it was a royal pain having to track down the physical library card I never use (I literally got it because it was required to signup with OverDrive) and I think at times we forget the overarching goal of technology should be to simplify our lives. As such, being able to store the library card number is a pretty basic request. It's not like you need it a lot but when I switched browsers all of a sudden I needed it and with all the technical issues when you clear your browser history, etc. you're bound to need it too. Lastly the search function is in dire need to improvement. Especially when your library doesn't own a book. I don't know what database, etc. it searches but it will often turn up no results even though every other digital outlet (i.e. Kindle, Apple Books, Google Play Books, Walmart Ebooks) has it.
