Great food and even better service. My Grilled Chicken Wrap was absolutely delicious and my wife was extremely happy with the salad.

There was street parking when we got there but they also have valet and some self parking in the back. As we walked in, the ladies at the host stand were so warm and inviting. They were also the cutest ever. They encouraged us to sit out on the patio versus the bar so we headed upstairs. Our waitress came over with menus and it went downhill from there. She was so inattentive that we had to ask the other waiter for things we needed. He was engaging, checked on us and we even chatted about his Jordanian heritage and my trip there back in December. Our actual waitress, however, checked on the table next to us 6 times (yes I counted) in between her checking on us. Even when I ordered a mocktail, I guess they didn't have the one I wanted so she brought me an entirely different drink without asking me. Then got upset when I didn't want it. The absolute audacity. As far as the food, we got the crab cake, lamb, whipped mashed potatoes and the bread. The food was good but the bread took it to another level. It should have been complimentary though but that's neither here nor there. Overall, loved the experience but wish we had another waitress. She didn't even acknowledge my friend's birthday. Sigh.

The ambiance is very nice, elevated feel to the restaurant. We sat in the upstairs portion of the restaurant. This area they packed with tables very close to each other and was very loud. Other than that, I'd definitely dine here again!

And extremely overpriced. You pay a significant premium here for the view of the Sound, which is lovely but not worth the markup. The front of house was a joke. No table touches from the two managers--no hello, no how is everything, and most glaringly no apology for the kitchen not even firing one of our meals. The food did not even come out until everyone else was 9/10 of the way done. That's not what I expect from a place that charges 50 dollars (48 to be more precise) for a middling lobster roll. Get it together, La Plage. We have always loved coming here in the past. We are in no hurry to return.

The hostesses greeted us warmly, and we chose to sit out on the deck to take in the scenery. It was breezy and comfortable. It's a long drive from NY, so we arrived hungry. We asked for bread, but they typically don't serve it until dinner. Thankfully, our waitress understood and made it happen, bringing out two baskets for our party of eight, lifesaver! Drinks were great, and we started with the seafood tower (tip: get two if your group is larger than four). For mains, we ordered a variety-lobster roll, burger, tuna tartare, fish and chips, steak and eggs, and the kids' tuna and fries. Everything was fresh and flavorful, and the service stayed friendly and attentive throughout. Only downside: there was a $5 per person fee for the cake we brought in, plus a waiver to sign. Still, overall it was a wonderful experience with good food, beautiful views, and a lovely place to celebrate a special occasion.
