I love this location. This is the best coffee drive up in Granite Falls. They have a large menu of various drinks including: coffee, tea, cider, red bill, hot chocolate, chai, lemonade, and smoothies, just to name a few. There is also a large food menu. When I pulled up there were cars lined up on both sides of the building but the lines went fast. Definitely a popular place. The service was fast and both girls were friendly. I appreciated that they handed me the card reader to choose my tip. The prices were standard prices compared to other coffee businesses. The parking lot had parking spots to walk up and order if need be and it was very clean. Will definitely be back to try more coffee specials. read more

Sad to be leaving a 2 star review because we have been going here for years and mostly had really good service and coffee. I have to say though the last few weeks when we have gone the coffee has not been good. It seems like they had a staff change because we don't see the regular baristas that we used to and the new ones have ATTITUDE. They are not friendly at all and apparently cannot make coffee like the old staff. Hopefully that changes with them being there longer but it's hard to want to go here and tip the baristas when they're so rude. Not asking for much, just basic friendly customer service. read more

Best place in Granite to grab a good drink and quick bite. When you come into town it's on the right a block past the McDonalds. Easy to hit up before heading up the mountain loop highway or back down just don't take the roundabout bypass. read more

Tried this stand today since I was in town. Asked if they could make a cinnamon dolce and they said yes. I had them make it with soy and paid with my credit card. I waited to sign so I could also tip them. They said they squiggly my name for me. I told them I couldn't tip them that way because I don't carry cash. They said don't worry about it. Later when I checked my credit card statement I find they charged me $8.25 for the drink. That was without a tip. I don't even pay that at Starbucks. I will never frequent this stand again. Fabulous coffees with very low prices when compared to Seattle coffee prices. It's only a drive through coffee place, which is convenient if you are in a rush for your hike in the Mt Baker area. In desperate need of a coffee fix to fuel miles 14 and 15 for the day (at the Big Four Ice Caves), Yelp steered me toward this coffee hut in Granite Falls along the way to my destination. I almost missed it, which is why I made sure to post a picture of the exterior. Menu is standard. Wish they had more specialty drinks. It was crazy hot outside so I went with a white mocha blended with almond milk (points for having almond milk and not just soy!). It was tasty, though not nearly as rich and flavorsome as I've gotten at other coffee huts. Price was right though! A bit cheaper than standard espresso stands. Service was polite and punctual. Don't know that I'd go out of my way for it, but it did the trick of perking me up! read more

The staff is always super friendly and the prices aren't bad. Only complaint is they can be very slow at times.

Just drove through Granite Falls a couple hours ago and pulled through Hook Line & Espresso. Had a 16 oz. Egg Nogg Latte. It was well worth it. I went there nearly every day for months, at least over a year. Never knew their names and they never tried to know mine. Frequently I heard them speak friendly with others. Never felt included. Never felt that cold shoulder with any other stand as much as I did with them and how much I frequented their business. read more

I looked at his instep, which did have a sickly gray-white sheen. "That's your sock," I told him. "My foot looks like that too! I saw it, you didn't," he squibbled. "You shouldn't have left your boots in Oklahoma," was my quite unnecessary reminder. Sibling soon achieved his long-desired dry-socked state and started driving down out of the mountains, but not till we passed a shop advertising worms and espresso did his preoccupation begin to shift away from his feet. I tried to interest him in the worms, but his attention was caught by the coffee. "Didn't we pass a coffee hut in Granite Falls?" he wondered. He drove. I yawned. Our day had contained, he pointed out, less caffeine than expected, as well as more snow. His musings went underground for a bit, then burst out again: "Before, I thought coffee sounded good, but now I *need* a cup of coffee," he remarked. And so were we rendered glad by the sight of the Hook Line Espresso hut crouched there atop a medium-sized expanse of gravel by the side of the highway. There were suggestions in its signage of both worms and illiteracy ("ESSPRESSO," it said, in big letters engraved in wood), and Sibling thought his latte tasted like plain coffee with plain milk. For my part, I was not sure why I'd been issued a straw. But these are trivial complaints. A coffee hut placed just where you need one is a commendable thing. read more

Coffee is good, but time and time again the service not so much. They smile at you, but are very expensive and seemingly value money over people. They must have raised prices after all the other reviews saying they are cheap!!! Today she charged my card for more than the total she gave me, hoping I would not notice, finally the last straw pushing me to tell my experiences: Last summer I religiously got a 32 oz iced latte, over 5 bucks which is a decent price for that size. Every day, I was there. So when it came time for my free punch card coffee, I asked for the same (sign says you get your "usual" order free). Same girl who served me daily, tried to tell me that she could only give me my usual, a 16 oz, and then acted like she did me a favor when she gave me a 24 oz. I never got those sizes. I ignored it and tried again. After all, despite the high prices, they don't have to give a free drink. And perhaps they don't remember daily customers like they do at other places! So this time, I started getting a hot 24 oz in a flavor recommended by the lady there. She has always charged me $5.50. Today, another girl says, "That will be 5.75", and I inquired and she says "It is $5.50 and then we charge $.25 for credit card." That is fine. But then...I get my bill to sign and it said $6.00!!!! When I called her on it, she came up with yet another odd reason why my drink was higher, because it has two powders, even though I asked for half the flavor amount to cut calories. Basically the bottom line is she raised the price by 25 cents after already giving me the amount with the credit fee tacked on, and then made up some other reason for the other fee without even apologizing for misquoting me. Made me question their trustworthiness. Not honest, not cool, especially for us down home folks who know the value of a buck. I did not mind that their drinks are even with or higher than Starbucks, because it is good and local and drinks slightly larger. But I have NEVER paid $6 bucks for ANY coffee anywhere, even Starbucks, and that is just too much for any stand-quality coffee! Give me a cocktail for that price. After today, I won't be back, especially because you are paying for that "free" coffee with all the fees. I tore up my punch cards when I got home. Will try Hanky Pies or the two espresso stands by the subway, or drive down to Starbucks. Local businesses should appreciate locals. I was set to give this 3 stars, even after all this (look at my other reviews, I am easy to please.), but the dishonesty and charging my card more money without an apology in a town where people work hard for their living, really made me choose 1 star. read more

This coffee hut isn't any better or worse than the other huts all across the pacific northwest. It is along the route between Seattle and the Mountain Loop Highway, so the location is awesome. I had whatever their special of the day was, with half the flavored syrup, and it was perfect. The drink came with a chocolate covered coffee-bean on the lid, a nice bonus! read more

Huge variety of coffee and non coffee drinks! Lots of flavors and the perfect pick me up for cold and iced. My kids love their hot chocolates and milkshakes! They use real ice cream which not everyone does. So on a hot day grab a shake! On a chilly day though my go to is a peppermint mocha and they make a perfect one. Prices are great it's a must stop when passing through town to go hike. read more
