All in all, not sure how open & welcoming the area is, parking was for customers only, marina sandwiched between the private local waterfront homes, so not sure how open it is to the public although from the marina you could go down on the beach. Not too far away is a very nice park though with hiking trails & short walk to the water, so might be a good place to eat before or after exploring the county park.

Staff was straight forward and respectful. The skiff has a strong outboard was able to keep up with some currents and gusts of wind when they popped up. As a marina the launch has a good width to it and it way marking when entering/ exiting. I'll absolutely be returning here!

Security was seen walking the docks regularly. Like other marinas, Swantown has a bit of a derelict vessel problem. There are some that need to be moved out of guest moorage, however this did not impact our enjoyable stay. Price was a bit expensive, but certainly doable. Stay in channel when approaching east or west waterways.
