A little hole in the wall on the way to a waterfall. The smell inside isn't great, but the food was good and scenery was beautiful.

Its been way too long since my last visit here. I actually had had lunch earlier across the street…read moreat a place a friend picked, which was nice because I hadn't realized that Andy's only does take out now. But it worked out because I picked up my second lunch/early dinner here, my favorite Papa tostada! Since they pack all the meals to go now, the tortilla chips are packaged separately to keep them crispy. My Mexican fam members would cringe at calling this a "tostada" but whatever it's called, it's been my go-to first choice meal here for over 20 years. The base is their veggie chili with a sprinkle of cheese, topped with their special tomato sauce, a huge mound of green leaf lettuce, chunks of tomatoes, a nest of alfalfa, sour cream, and guacamole. The chili now has a tiny kick to it, which is a recent change, which will probably appeal to most people. And it's only $9.99, what??!!! My favorite sandwiches here are the ahi or fresh turkey, tomato, and avocado sandwiches. The turkey is roasted in-house, very moist, and sprinkled with a special seasoning. The ahi is a tasty smoked ahi spread. Both sandwiches have lots of lettuce, shredded carrots, and sprouts (if you choose), so they are like salad sandwiches. They're both so good it's hard to choose one. The cash register is right next to the pastry display case, which you should not skip. Their apple and blueberry turnovers are delicious, but the guava pastry is even more so, with flaky and buttery crusts. The oatmeal cookies have raisins and chocolate chips, and taste healthier than most other places. And don't forget their fresh fruit smoothies! When I was a student and then working at UH we would eat here every week, and I really miss eating here since I work downtown now. I will definitely try to come more often, and earlier to get the best pastries! Andy and his family/staff are very friendly and always smiling. Andy figured out a long time ago how to graciously serve healthy and delicious food, and I hope they continue to do so for many years to come!

I decided on a 'breakfast of champions crepe to include turkey bacon, spinach, mushrooms, cheese, garlic aioli. Watching the crepe being made was fun ---great craft and handled well by the maker. Service was friendly and patient to help me decide. I'll be back when we return next year. Everyone should try this place if you enjoy crepes. I went on a Thursday when the local farmer's market was there which was a plus. No pics to share because I ate it all. Thank you Le Crepe Cafe.

I was able to find a pretty close spot by the café, they have seating inside and outside, but I would recommend sitting inside if you're able to as I feel like it is a lot comfier (their outside seating is facing the bottom of the staircase). We both got the breakfast of champions, it was really good and for one crepe it is packed with things within and got us pretty full. I would recommend requesting for either light garlic aioli or even having it on the side. It's delicious but could be too much (which felt like that working my way through the crepe). I would really recommend this spot, it was nice and casual and the workers seemed fairly friendly.

Nalu Health Bar & Café is such a solid spot, especially if you're looking for something fresh,…read morequick, and actually satisfying. Parking is super easy with the complimentary structure, and the café is located on the bottom floor alongside other vendors. One thing I immediately appreciated was how well air-conditioned the entire market is--it's nice and cool, which makes sitting and eating there really comfortable. The cashier recommended the turkey pesto croissant, but suggested swapping it onto ciabatta since it's one of her favorites--and I'm so glad I trusted her. It was phenomenal. The flavors were balanced, the bread held everything together perfectly, and it felt like a step above your typical sandwich. I also had what looked like a simple salad, but the vinaigrette and candied pistachios really elevated it and made it feel more thoughtful than expected. The staff across the board were friendly and welcoming, and there's plenty of seating--whether inside the café or out in the open market area. Honestly, the value surprised me the most. I paid under $13 for everything, which is hard to beat for the quality. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to.

They are located on the corner of Keeaumoku and Young Streets, on the Ewa/Makai corner. You enter the parking from Young street. Nadine had glowing reviews of her purchases and I have to concur with her thoughts about Aunty Gigi's. They have been open for about a month and are in sort of a soft opening. Their smoothies and Acai bowl offerings/pricing are prominently displayed on the wall. The savory offerings, musubis and bentos are not yet listed but some are available. On this day the spam/egg musubi and the Kimbop were available as well as the meat Jun bento. This is a small operation so I had a chance to try the savory orders made as ordered. It was fun talking to Aunty Gigi as she prepared my order. She is very friendly and easy to converse with. Her "cafe" is compact, very clean as she totally gutted out the space brought in new equipment and fixtures. I took home the Kimbop, meat Jun and acai bowl, and also brought home one of the musubi to try, compliments of Aunty. The savory offerings are on the counter. When I went the first hour they were open Aunty was in the process of making the savory offerings. The smoothies and acai bowls are of course made to order. Delicious offerings close to Ala Moana shopping center.

Though it's clearly noted with a huge image of it right on the huge window you wouldn't know it if you viewed her instagram page @auntygigiscafe with posts of her bentos lol! Yes Aunty makes bentos as well though on this day it was just some spam musubis. Not to be deterred I got Gigi's Special Bowl this medium size at $10.99 was packed with so much yummies (açaí sorbet, strawberry, banana, blueberry, granola, honey, kale and spinach) I'm assuming the veggies were blended in the sorbet but I couldn't really tell but it was so refreshingly delicious ! What a delightful sight aunty talked how she sold and closed her downtown location and opened this one, a super tiny nook she had some friends hanging out and accompanied her for support, as she started on my order she finds this adorable cup with little polka dots and says "I give you this cute cup!" Supporting small and local is just the delight of the neighborhood and I have my chiropractor and orthopedic doctor just steps away so you know I'll be back here for another visit to Aunty Gigi's!! It's not just her smoothies and açaí bowl that's healing but the delightful joy she brings to you as her genuine kindness is the real pot of gold! Thank you!
