I was so excited when i walked by this restaurant. It is well hidden in the alley so you really need to walk in the to it. I saw the A-frame in the ground which got my attention
After eating burgers, pizza and pub grub for a few days, I was ready for some real food. I walked into the small restaurant and was greeted with this gigantic wallpaper with a Hong Kong electric train scene. So excited when i was reading the menu and seeing all the delicious looking items i could enjoy.
Then i was greeted at the counter by the only person working there. He must the the cook, cashier, bus boy, and dishwasher. His attitude was less than enthusiastic and borderline on the rude side. After ordering the food, i sat down at the table and again was excited by the decor of an Ovaltine can on the table which held the chopsticks, spoons, and silverware.
The food took forever even though there was only two other people and they had already gotten. Their food. Guess the dude was held up taking the order of one other person who came in behind me. Finally i got my plate of fish fillet with sweet corn sauce over rice. It was quite sad that there was only three small pieces of fish and there was barely enough sauce to cover the fish no less the rice. And there was hardly any corn in the sauce. Seriously?!?! I can understand that fish is expensive so they gave me on three pieces. But corn and gooey sauce cannot possibly be that precious that it doesnt even cover the rice.
Excited for the concept but disappointed in the execution read more
