As far as "strip mall" Chinese goes, for me Hong Kong is the best in the area. Sure, I prefer more authentic fare like Asian Pearl or Chef Li, but sometimes I need a quick meal without making a long drive. The beef, pork, and chicken are all good here with no chewy "mystery meats." They even have my favorite, "Beef Ho Fun." I never see that offered at strip mall joints, and their version is very good. My only negative is as with all fast take-out Chinese, why the yellow "fried rice?" Proper fried rice is seasoned with soy sauce and is slightly brown. Yellow rice usually comes from saffron, which is seldom used in the Asian kitchen. I'll never make peace with the yellow rice these places serve. Eh... I come here for the lunch specials. All the lunch specials are $7.45 you can get anything from chicken chow mein to pepper steak w/onion to shrimp with cashew nuts. With a total of 30 lunch specials there is something for everyone. Each lunch special comes with an option of white rice or pork fried rice and an egg roll. They advertise that they use 100% vegetable oil and no MSG. In my opinion, any place that needs to rely on MSG to enhance flavor is already doing something wrong. I HATE MSG! It gives me a headache; and I'm usually too distracted when I order to remember to ask takeaway shops to cook without it. I know that when I go to Hong Kong, I don't have to remind them NO MSG because they don't use it in the first place. I also like that they have bins on a table near the door with packets of soy sauce, sweet & sour, and hot mustard so you can take as many as you need instead of getting (never enough) added to your order by the restaurant. The orange chicken was very tough; I've never had to chew so much with what was supposed to be easy to eat. And not all that tasteful. The so called fried rice was bland and had little meat or vegetables. The egg roll was about 75% cabbage and bland. I couldn't finish the meal. This has become my consistent go to Chinese restaurant in the Seminole area. The food is always fresh, and the portions are big. Prices are average, but you get what you pay for. Combo lunches and dinners are usually packed to the gills. My only knock is that some dishes tend to really be garlic heavy, but luckily I like me some garlic! Just keep that in mind before ordering. Worst Chinese I ever had. Curry shrimp was nothing but onions and sauce wasn't like any curry I've ever had. Honey chicken was thick breading over a piece of chicken with a slightly sweet glaze. I'll never understand how fried rice is yellow. Fry it with soy sauce. That's brown. Well, whatever. All the dishes were pretty good. The rolls could've been a little more flavorful, but were fine. I decided to post a review here even though I already posted one on Uber Eats because the food was that good! We ordered 2 combo dinners, Seafood Delight and Chicken Lo Mein, Krab Rangoon and Spring Rolls. Everything came piping hot, well packaged, and fresh. The chicken was tender and plentiful in the lo mein , the noodles were perfectly cooked, maybe more vegetables would be nice, the shrimp were large and juicy in the seafood delight and the imitation crab meat had a light taste and lots of beautiful, fresh vegetables. Now, not all Krab Rangoon nor Spring Rolls are created equal. These were the best we've had in Florida! My husband ate one Krab Rangoon, I ate the rest and he had an egg roll with his dinner so I ate one spring roll with dinner, THEN ate the other before bed! We've been looking for a great Chinese food place for years and we've found it. This will be our to go to restaurant when we want this type of food, everything was delicious!
