We arrived about 15 minutes before they opened, since we didn't check their hours. There were several folks waiting to get in when we got there. Robert opened the door and told us to come wait inside! We each had the 3 pc filet plate with fries and 2 big delicious hush puppies and the salad bar. I always judge the hush puppies and these were A++. Some of us took advantage of the complimentary ice cream. The food was delicious, piping hot and they didn't scrimp on the portion sizes. I saw a review fussing about price increase, but prices have gone up everywhere. I would rather pay a little more and get good food, than get mediocre food at a cheaper price. My husband and I ate for less than $35, a very fair price for the quality and quantity. If you haven't been here, or if you haven't been lately, do yourself a favor and go have the best fish around.

I ordered the combo plates with catfish and shrimp. Well when it arrived i was really disappointed in the size of fish filets. They were very small and you could tell they had sliced a whole filet in half to make 2 pieces and gave half of another to make 3 pinky dink piecs of fish. Kinda a rip off . Considering it was 22+$ meal. Really pathetic. But it tasted good and shrimp were ok to. Also would've been better if they made their own cocktail sauce or put the things to make your own on the table. You could tell it was cheap bottled commercial sauce. Tater sauce was same way. Anyway id probably go back again but try a different dish next time. This place could be great if they went that little extra mile to make their own sauce and portions that made people feel like they got their money's worth. Spent 41$ + tip for my meal . 1 person.

Staff said it was a "miscommunication." We were required to pay upfront, and during payment one of our family members was rudely asked if they were "sure they were with the Barnes family" because of "how people were looking." Completely unprofessional. The staff pushed tables together so most of us could sit nearby, but when 2 family members arrived 40 minutes later, they were told they couldn't sit with us because "our time was almost up." Less than an hour into our meal, staff asked us to leave--even though we had not finished eating. Another large African American group had the same experience. When I questioned the manager, she said large parties only get one hour, but admitted this information is not posted anywhere. We left feeling disrespected and singled out. We paid full price but were rushed and treated poorly. What should have been a joyful 90th birthday celebration turned into one of the worst restaurant experiences we've ever had.

The place is a cute outdoor spot, had a cute little play area for kids so that was nice. We ordered at the window but the menu screen wasn't working so we only got to see half the menu in a super fast motion. When I got to the window I asked to see a paper menu and they didn't have one. Lucky I saw food on here so I ordered the baked potato. The potatoes were small (I like the skin on the potatoes) but overall very good. My husband got the crawfish and it was good with nice flavor. They didn't have extra spices around or seasoning so you kind of just get that flavor but it was good. The sausage was awesome, wish I got more of that. Overall, good place.
