So I found myself in Redcliffe on a warm spring day, looking for something to eat.
Meal of choice when by the sea is fish and chips.
I wandered the area, but with Sunday markets on it was all quite busy and I was about to give up when I wandered up to a quieter part of the Esplanade, and here I found Honeypot.
They had a bit of a queue going on, but I decided to give them a go. While they are away from the crowds, the shop IS located above the lagoon, which is quite a popular place, so that would explain all the people waiting to order.
Was it stand out? Not really. Pretty standard food. Staff were polite enough, not rude, but not overly friendly.
If you just want some no nonsense fish and chips, it's not a bad spot. Can you get fancier? Yes. Can you get better? Most likely. But hey, sometimes this is all you need. read more
