CB SUP brings another great way to enjoy water sports to Crested Butte/Gunnison…read more We can't say enough good things about CB SUP. We have been on several trips with them out of the Crested Butte site - Slate River and Emerald Lake. This week, we decided to try the Gunnison River. Our instructor/guide, Kay, was very knowledgeable and experienced. She provided technical tips as well as pointing out wildlife and landscape features along the way. Kay was very conscious of our safety at all times. My husband and a friend were both relatively inexperienced, and we all made it through this Class 1-2 stretch with only a few minor spills. We learned a lot about reading the river as well. We can't wait to do more trips with CB SUP again next summer!

A full week in advance, he tried multiple times to confirm they would be open. No one ever answered the phone despite repeated calls. We even messaged them on social media and received no response. As a last resort, we asked a nearby business to walk over and check for us. They kindly did, and Grind Junction replied via Instagram confirming they would be open on Memorial Day. We drove over an hour to get there, only for them to message us again 10 minutes before we were going to arrive on Instagram at the last minute saying they had changed their minds and were actually closed. The complete lack of basic communication and respect for customers' time is shocking. They couldn't be bothered to answer their phone, respond promptly, or give accurate information - resulting in us wasting gas, time, and my husband's only day off. This is some of the worst customer service I've experienced from a small business. If you value reliability and basic professionalism, l strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Very disappointed.
