And when my kids have broken a bracket or something like that they can fit us in a couple of days. My son's retainer broke like 6 years after getting his braces off. Prairie helped us get him a new retainer even though we forgot to keep his mouth mold. Ignore the bad reviews when they were mad for not getting an exact quote over the phone. They obviously don't understand how insurance and health care system works and how all the treatment options play into that. We would recommend Prairie Orthodontics.

We had a great experience with are first consultation they took X-rays, lots of pictures, and then talked about the best approach for us. Now days they are trying to have kids in braces very young. When I was there I had lost all my baby teeth and had all my adult teeth in. They said that would save us a lot of time and money in the long run. We decided to do the metal braces as they moved the teeth the best and the colors are fun to pick. We also had expanders and spacers as well. They aways had appointments available and if you has any issues with your braces then they can get you in to fix the issue. I will say before your braces come off if you need to get your wisdom teeth taken out then do so. Also wear your retainer after like they say. My teeth are still strait my sisters are now back to being crooked. The wisdom teeth came though and push her teeth and caused her to now need braces again. So, I can say with authority that he is an excellent orthodontist that produces outstanding results. On September 4, 2026, I had two of my front teeth prepared for permanent crowns and paid for the entire treatment in full. More than five weeks later, I am still waiting for my permanent crowns. Every single appointment has been rescheduled at the last minute. I have repeatedly rearranged my work schedule and personal responsibilities, only to receive another cancellation. During this time, one of my temporary crowns fell off, and I had to wait two days to be seen. I could barely eat normally during that period. To make matters worse, my dentist instructed me to stop wearing my orthodontic retainers because they could dislodge the temporary crowns. I have now gone more than a week without wearing them, putting my previous orthodontic results at potential risk. My appointment for October 9 was supposed to finally complete the treatment, but once again, the office called that morning to reschedule. What makes this situation especially frustrating is that I have already paid for everything in full, yet I am left with unfinished dental work, ongoing inconvenience, and no reliable completion date. After another last-minute cancellation, I submitted a formal complaint to the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR). Reading other patients' reviews describing the exact same scheduling problems makes this experience even more concerning. I understand that unexpected delays can happen, but repeatedly canceling appointments at the last minute while leaving patients with unfinished treatment is unacceptable. I am extremely disappointed with the lack of accountability, communication, and consideration for patients' time and well-being. I would not recommend this office based on my experience.
